Auto Drive 1 Reviews (29)

I am writing as an update to this claim. Yesterday, as instructed by Officer [redacted] on Saturday 8/29/15, I returned to the Auto Drive 1 office at approximately 5 pm to retrieve my [redacted] and void the entire transaction related to the [redacted]. Upon arriving, the paperwork was not ready to void the transaction, and they attempts to send me away with only my keys and an u voided contract, despite what they had informed Officer [redacted] that they would do. When I refused to leave without signing anything, I was told to go outside and I wasn't allowed in the building. He still had not given me back my keys to the [redacted] that they say they did not take from me, but refuse to give me back. Immediately, I had to call the [redacted] Police again, and three officers arrived this time. As of 5:45p on 8/31/15 the officers were told that I could come back on Tuesday 9/1/15 and take possession of my vehicle and sign the paperwork voiding the entire transaction at noon, and could not take possession of my vehicle until such a time, so again it was left on the Auto Drive 1 lot in [redacted], **. I have had to contact [redacted] regarding the auto loan because this dealership had yet to cancel anything, and spoke with them this morning regarding this issue. My insurance company has also been made aware of the situation. Now, despite having told the police twice that they were canceling my deal and giving me back my car, they went and registered the new car as of noon today and are trying to force me to take both vehicles. The police are now involved once again.

Good morning. I was unable to respond to the reasoning of Auto Drive last week due to my busy work schedule and email access. I apologize. I am rejecting their response due to it not being accurate information. It did pass the inspection but the coil code is in the maintenance screen. It is in the red when you scroll through the codes. When I purchased the car it had been sent out for the coils misfiring. It still has same problem. Same problem since first day driving the car. Also the only paperwork I signed from [redacted] repair shop was the replacement of the battery. The last time I was at [redacted] and picked the car up I signed a paper stating there was no work performed on the car because he didn't touch the car. At the bottom it showed a zero balance. Owner said he was told he could not fix the car. Owner apologized and said if it was different and I had just brought the car to him he could fix it. My reply was well that would be quite a conflict of interest. He knows there is a problem with the car. Due to the amount of time car was not in my possession car is still within warranty days and mileage allowance and Auto Drive will not fix the car. I have refused to allow my daughter to drive the car because it is  not fixed. I have documented papers from an authorized BMW specialist that Auto Drive refuses to acknowledge that states what the problem is. I have a quote that to fix the two issues that I have requested to be fixed is $1,100. The two issues were noted since test drive. And currently still occur and not fixed

I'm still going to reject their offer to buy back the car. The owner of [redacted] never offered to fix the car for nothing. It was a brief comment that if I had just brought the car to them originally and not through Auto Drive he would have been able to fix the car. Meaning I would pay him. Anyway I am still requesting they fix the car problems that were noted on test drive and promised they would be fixed. I have all paperwork to prove their is a problem with the car. I as a customer should not have to sell back a car that has $1,100 worth of work. By selling the car back Auto Drive says I will have to forfeit taxes paid and go through the state to get reimbursed. They want to charge me 15 cents per mile put in the car yet most mileage has been driving it to and from their dealership to auto shop or my house and auto shop. Car was given to daughter for sweet sixteen gift. No parent should have to take back that type of gift because of $1,100 worth of work which was promised to be fixed at time of purchase.

I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. The business was able to bring there offer back to what I agreed to the second time around (which was part of it). I understand that going with the [redacted] Mechanic Specialist would be more expensive but I want my car to be in good hands. [redacted] are [redacted]s specialty. Not saying your third party is unskilled but I have my concerns and opinions. The business agreed to pay around $150 ( pretty sure the boston manager said $145). (Which is what they would of charged if I went to there mechanic instead)

The original date that this vehicle was supposed to be ready was September 29, 2015 at the Natick location. On the morning of the 29th, I called the business and was assured that my vehicle would be there after 3 pm. When I arrived not only was the vehicle not there but they also let me know they had to put in the shop due to an abs light. On Friday, October 2, 2015 they called to say the car was not ready due to the mechanic not getting the part and it wouldn't be ready until Monday, October 5. On Monday October 5, I was told the car was being worked on that day and would be back on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Oct. 7th, I was told by [redacted] that "if you had not received the registration I would have you come get your money because it's not worth the aggravation." (EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL) In addition, to that he assured me that the car would be delivered on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 3 pm to my home address. On the morning of the October 7th, I called and confirmed that the car would be delivered this afternoon and asked that rather than come to my home if it could be delivered to my daughter's daycare where I would already be at that time as opposed to having to take  another taxi to get home to meet them. The guy ([redacted]) assured me that his driver was headed to pick it up and then to get the [redacted] inspection done on it and that it would be to me by 3 pm there. At 2, I called to be sure that they had the right address and were on the way. Not only did they put me on hold for 10 minutes but they also, did not answer when I called back and at 3:25 PM had [redacted] (the person, that originally did my paperwork at their Bridgewater location) call me to tell me that the car was actually still in the shop and had not been picked up because the part had not been ordered and they would try to have it ready and delivered tomorrow, October 8, 2015. So not only have I been without a vehicle since my old one died on September 27th, but I have been forced to use a taxi to get myself and my daughter to and from work each day. I have spent approximately $200 alone in fees for that since public transportation does not go by my daughter's daycare and would have been a 20 minute walk from my job putting me even later for work than I usually am since her daycare does not open until 730 AM. Now they are offering to pay for the state inspection on my vehicle in addition to the car payments. I believe that I have been completely misled in this whole ordeal and at this point I would just like my car and a check to be cut for the inspection, so that I can take it to a place of my choice and get the inspection report (for the bank) as well as to be reimbursed for the days this car has been on my insurance and I have not had it. The bank has been great with helping me to resolve this and it is only because of them that I learned the REAL reason why my car has not been delivered to me and are in agreement with me that I should not be responsible for the payments on the car until I have the car in my possession ESPECIALLY since they too had been told it would be delivered to me on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

You have missed several appointments to have the battery replaced. We did not put the battery in the vehicle and therefore did not know it had an issue. The bank has also mentioned that you have not made any payments of the loan. We can only replace the battery if the vehicle is brought in. This was...

addressed before you left this complaint.

We've been in communication with the client. We have refunded his money in full. It was a simple miscommunication. This matter is resolved.
