[redacted] agreed to purchase a...

2007 Mazda on 3/29/14 and sell us a 1999 Cadillac that was owned by a 3rd party. We advised [redacted] that we were in need of the legal owner to come in and properly execute the title before we could complete the transaction. On or about 4/11/14 [redacted] decided she longer wanted the 07 Mazda and asked us to unwind the transaction. We agreed to cancel the transaction and return the Cadillac. A few days after she purchased the Mazda we had the Cadillac towed at our expense to the Auction in anticipation of fully executed title.

[redacted] refused to deliver a proper title and sign the remaining documents. At this point we had the Cadillac towed back to Automart, again at our expense, and advised [redacted] that it was available for pick up. Somewhere along the line [redacted] must have misplaced or lost the title, my suggestion is for her and who ever owns the vehicle to go to MVD and get a duplicate. Everything we did was completely proper and if anyone has been harmed it would be Automart. Costs for towing alone was $220 from Automart to the auction and back again.

Review: I traded in a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado to purchase a 2007 Mazda 3 from AutoMart on 3/29/2014. I only had the Cadillac for about a week. I had the title but had not yet got it changed over in my name... they said it would be no problem. I Just needed to bring in a copy of the sellers drivers license and the remainder of the finance paperwork the following business day. They took the title and gave me $2,500 for the Cadillac. I did take the Mazda home on that day and immediately after driving away from the dealership the transmission/engine light came on and there were some definite issues with the suspension. I took the vehicle in to Monroe to have the suspension checked and it needed over $ !,000 in work on the front and rear suspension and I knew there was an issue with the transmission because it would downshift by itself as I was driving. During this time I also did some research on the vehicle and found it was overpriced by about @ 6,000 according to the Kelly blue book value. I was told by the manager/salesman [redacted] that the price was set by the finance company, which I found to be untrue, because I contacted the finance company and was told that they set no prices for vehicles, it is strictly the dealers responsibility. I then asked [redacted] if we could unwind the deal because I felt the car is extremely overpriced, the transmission is bad, and there needs to be extensive work on the front end. I was told no at that time and was told to bring the car back in the following day so they could correct the problem, so I did. The car was brought in on 4/1/14 along with the paperwork from Monroe outlining the issues with the suspension, the engine/transmission light as well as some other small issues. They assured me that the car would be repaired and I would be notified when it was done and that it should only take a couple of days. Two or three days went by and I heard nothing. I called them

around the fourth day of them having the vehicle and was told they were still working on it, and they then asked if I could bring the remaining paperwork so they can clear the financing as well as the copy of the drivers license of the seller that I brought the Cadillac from . I didn't feel the need to make the trip until the car would be ready...so I waited for them to complete the vehicle before I came back in with the additional finance paperwork and a copy of the sellers drivers license for the Cadillac. !0 days after having the in the vehicle in their possession on 4/11/14 the finance department calls me to ask me again when would I be bringing in the paperwork. It was then I told them that I was not making an extra trip just to turn in the paperwork and that I was coming in when the vehicle was complete. I got a call back less than 5 minutes later to let me know the vehicle was complete and that I could pick it up anytime I wanted. Upon arriving I was asked immediately for the paperwork, but I elected to take a test drive first. To my surprise there was absolutely no repair done to the suspension or engine/transmission, the light was still on and the car was still downshifting on its own. It was then I was told by the Manager [redacted] that he would unwind the deal, but the only problem is that he sold the Cadillac and only got $500 for it so that would be all he could give me for it and not the $2,500 that I traded it for and he would send it to me in the mail. I notified him that I wanted the return of the vehicle, or the 2,500 he gave me in the trade. He elected to return the vehicle and said it would be in on Monday 4/14/14. I called on that day and was told it was not there and it should be in the following day, again it was not there and give us a call back. This went on for several days then eventually no one could tell me when or where the vehicle was or when I would get it back. on 5/8/14 a month after not being able to get any answers about the Cadillac, I get a call from [redacted] stating that the vehicle was at his car lot and I needed to come pick it up immediately or I would be charged storage fees. I asked was the title for the vehicle there? I was told that the car does not belong to me and he was not giving me the title. Huh? I asked. If the vehicle did not belong to me why was it taken as payment from me for a trade to buy a vehicle off your lot???? How were you able to sell a vehicle that was not signed over to you by the person on the title???? And who did you sell the vehicle to???? I was told he's not gonna disclose any of that information and just that I needed to get the car off his lot or he would charge me storage charges for a car he says I don't own and wont give me the title to, but took from me as a trade for the 2007 Mazda 3. Which is ridiculous! What this company does is to me definitely criminal. They never received a copy of the sellers license to sell it to anyone if they are stating I'm not the owner. The original owner wants to buy the Cadillac back from me, but I have no title because the dealer that I title and the vehicle to refuses to return it to me. I do not feel I need to pay any additional charges to the dmv to obtain this title.Desired Settlement: I would like Automart to return the title to me immediatly as I am the owner of the vehicle. The seller of the Cadillac, who is a friend of mine, did turn in his portion of the title stating that I did buy the vehicle. This company needs to be investigated for illegal practices.

Review: I purchased a 2005 Ford Escape from Auto Mart April 23, 2013. From the first week I took possession of the car it has been in the shop. The car was finance through Credit Acceptance with a warranty for repair work. The coolant system has been replaced, the cooling block has been replace, the alternator, the fuses, the relay switches, and the most expensive repair just replace last summer was the transmission and transfer case. I contacted Consumer Protection without resolution concerning the Warranty portion of this complaint Now the 4-wheel drive is gone. This is not fair to me. I bought a car thinking I was getting a fresh start through the finance company and this dealership sold me a piece of cramp for over $8500.00 which I still owe Credit Acceptance $5700.00 for something that sits in my driveway most of the time or at a repair shop that I have to pay for.Desired Settlement: I need to have them buy back the car and clear me of the $5400 due to Credit Acceptance. I need to walk away from the mess. I have put over $3000.00 worth of repairs in this car causing me to get further and further behind in everything else. This has not helped me rebuild my credit it has caused me to damage it more.

We provided a 2 year /24,000 mile warranty on vehicle throughsuperior warranty Co, which will expire on 3/23/15. Should there be any workrequired I suggest she either make an appointment to bring to out shop or takevehicle to a shop of her choice before warranty expires. The one caveat is thatthe existing mileage does not exceed 164,944. The best of my knowledge, Ms. [redacted] has not brought the vehicle into Automart forany kind of diagnostic.RESOLUTION Ms.[redacted] can speak to the finance company (CAC) to see if they will let her out thecontract and return the vehicle. Review: First of all I would like to articulate my complete disgust with the company Automart. I purchased my 2007 Saturn Aura from your company in October 2013 and have had nothing but costly problems with it ever since. I have taken my car to their mechanic several times and paid my $100 deductible for the warranty several times just to have the problem still exist. My car will not even pass inspection because of the lack to have the problem rectified. And to stop it all off, I found out that I was being sued by their company in July but did not receive the paperwork until September. Now not only is it too late for me to stand before a judge and publicly express my distaste for the company but now it’s on my credit report. I have left not only 1 but 2 payment cards in their authority to take out the $90 payments monthly. Their company failed to do that and sued me. That makes no sense! Not only did I make the $530 payment in full but I will also be notified the court, the Revdex.com, and contacting a lawyer about the lemon law as it pertains to used cars. I want this foolishness removed from my credit report.Desired Settlement: I want my car repaired or exchanged for a comparable car to my liking and I want the judgement they made against me removed from my credit report promptly. An apology is also in order for making me have to deal with all of this mess beginning when I purchased the car. If Automart needs any contact with me, it needs to be in writing and be trackable to prove that I have received it.
