Auto Now Financial Services Reviews (26)

Auto Now is the worst auto finance company I have ever had. I had to do a a voluntary repo. They threatened me when they picked it up and then never sent me anything about the deficiency balance after. They filed a civil complaint and put false information on the complaint. When I tried to call them to see what they could do to work with me they were rude and never let me speak and wasn't willing to work with me at all even though they said they would.

Well these is no the first time and I believe no the last, these company continue had either employees the they don't know how to make calls or simple they don't care about the way they tread they customers here still my experience with the company

When you go and ask for they services about borrow money they attend you so nice they the best persons try to help you, but when it comes to ask them question they no tell you what exacly they going to do exemple,

If you ask what happen if for x reason I got late with my payment? The answer is, you are no thinking to be late right? With a big smile on their faces , but they don't tell you is the they will be calling and calling after the first day of the past due if you don't answer they will call your references 5 or 6 times n daily, no only that they do tell your references confidential information about the business you had with them like how much you own them , how many days your late and the worse they even treat these people by tell them if u not answer they we call the police also if any of the references don't answers they got your family phone number from the copy of ur phone bill the one you give them as a prof of address believe I been witness of these calls or messages they leave but that's no all a some point they star calling your work place I had two warning from my work cause of these annoying calls well few months ago I write I review of these issues after that they try to contact me Course I dint answer them cause I know and by my own experience I can say doesn't matter what you agree with them they will using same techniques to find you .the excuses all the time they use is they got new people and they will training for better services well never happen .so 2 day ago I receive these messages from them again treat me saying thing like u better call us or you will be sorry if I don't , my question is I be sorry about what? Are they will kill me or [redacted] like that? What kind of company the you own them money treat you like that? I guess I'd the first one.and don't take wrong to be honest yeah I been late with my payment so what is that a reason for them call me every day 5 or 6 times a day? call my references or place work @ any time? Call my family and treat any one they want? I don't think so , the company has to stop these procedures treat people is no right As a customer I have right s and the company just don't care about , just for the record and I know they will read these I have phone records of what Iam taking about voice mails with these treats also witness the they can certified these company treat them and call , some day I wrote a letter asking them to stop telling them what time they can call me or even I send email address were they can find me but no, they get into these [redacted] about , since I wrote these letter they no allow to call me or email me so defensive I can say , any way to much write and I know will no solución the good thing is I have like 8 payments left to finish my account but one thing is for sure I will never recommend the company to no one but if they continue with [redacted] I swear It will be consecuenses

On Friday February 14th customer called in and spoke to [redacted]. Customer was asked for verify her address which is regular procedure. Customer then got upset and hung up. Customer then called back asked for supervisor at that time a supervisor spoke with her. She expressed she was upset with...

previous rep, said he was rude, said he asked her to verify her address and she felt it unnecessary that may be the case but it will still be necessary to verify her information.  She asked if there were there previous complaints.  Anytime we have a complaint from a customer it is handled accordingly.  It is not to be disclosed to a customer the disciplinary actions taken against and employee.  After talking with the supervisor she then hung up and called our office back several times and hung up when we answered.   We have many options to make payments, such as reoccurring, walk in, mail in, or online.  If Mrs. [redacted] would like she can choose any of the options to make her payments.   With regards to Mrs. [redacted]’s desired settlement to cut her loan in half.  Mrs. [redacted] signed a legal binding contract which she is obligated to fulfill.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me at the number below. [redacted]Regional Manger[redacted] ext [redacted]

In an attempt to keep a valued customer happy we will in good faith waive the deductible this one time.  Understand that the warranty signed does have a deductible and will not be waived in future if a mechanical issue arises.  Please call our service center and set an appointment.  Please also be on time for your appointment and be prepared to leave vehicle for the day if needed for repairs.

After reviewing  Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint , we found that the payoff check was not received until 10/1 and the payoff quote (which included the GPS charge when given) was only good through 9/9. The date of 9/9 was a 10 day payoff from the date Mrs. [redacted] requested it....

The delay in the payoff (from [redacted]) is what has led to the misunderstanding. Had [redacted] paid off the account pursuant to the 10 day payoff given there would have been no dispute in the amount paid off.  In a good faith effort to resolve the issue, we gave her a call and we were able to settle the complaint by refunding the $102.00 charge for the GPS. The amount of $40.85 will be applied to payoff, as it was higher than the initial 10 day payoff.  The difference of $61.15 will be refunded to Mrs. [redacted] in the form of a check to be sent via US mail on 10/08/2015. Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this issue. Again we doapologize for any inconvenience.

I voluntarily gave a car back I had less than 2 months due to this company having poor customer service and the car had too many problems. They took me to court less than 2 weeks after I gave them the car back and filed a default judgment before the 20 days I was allowed to respond without making any contact with me to do a payment plan for the remaining balance or any efforts to collect the debt. In less than 30 days before I even knew there even was a judgment, my wages are getting garnished and I never received any notice that my wages were getting garnished until I looked at my pay stub. I took them to court on 9/2012 to lower the percentage being taken out of my check from 25% to 18% yet they were still taking over 25% of my check every check. On April 10,2014 the balance was paid in full but they never filed a satisfaction of judgment with the courts. The beginning of this year I was told by the courts to contact them to file the satisfaction of judgment so I can give that to the credit bureau to get it off my credit. They are not only refusing to file it they claim I only paid $2,655.84 and I still owe them $3,906.43 but won't tell me that directly when I ask them for proof by giving me their accounting logs. I paid them $6,580.93 and have proof of that. I feel some sort of consumer fraud is happening on their part being they're trying to double collect on a debt that has already been paid. They even changed the case number when submitting it to my employer for the second time making my employer believe it's a new case for garnishment. They also keep sending any required papers to my old address from four years ago when they have been given my current address to try and get what they want without me being able to respond to it and it possibly being denied.

Complaint ID#: [redacted] In response to the complaint listed above. The loan verification process was never completed. There is a second party on the registration and our customer service representative informed Mr. [redacted] that we would need a power of attorney from that party....

After reviewing with our verification department we also found out that this loan was not submitted for approval, there was no e-mail sent stating that it was turned down. According to the representative at the location where Mr. [redacted] went to apply he did not come back with the other party to finish the process. We would be happy to review Mr. [redacted]’s loan application and finish the process with him. We would suggest that he comes back with the required documents so that they may be submitted for approval.

We have requested the title from the State. The title is not restored salvage. We will be contacting Ms. Andrade to pick up her title when it arrives and also submit a copy once we receive it.

We have removed this reference. You will no longer be getting calls.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I simply said that it was unjust that after not even having the vehicle for two weeks that I would have to pay 250 when it should have come ofd the lot in better condition than that. I have an air filter which I changed that is black and filthy and spark plugs that were burnt and causing a misfire. I also have an email that my brother in law was inquiring about a vehicle and in the email they mislead him when he asks about if anything should fail within the furst 30days they were telling him that it would be covered yet fails to mention the deductable and when he asked about the deductable the response was that it was covered under warranty. The day I went in to purchase my vehicle the one I had choosen started shuting off and messing up by the next day so I had to settle for one that I didnt even want originally then for the second one to start messing up not even two weeks later what kind of mechanics do they have or is it just the dealerships plan so they are able to get more money from people.Regards,[redacted] Moreno

I started a loan with this company at the beginning of April. Payment was scheduled to be due biweekly. I made my payment 3 days late. Called in to make the payment through a customer service. I still received several calls after making the payment. I then called the 35th ave and grand location was then advised that I owed an additional $23 for an over payment of buying out my loan. We made arrangements to add that amount on to the end of my loan. And to come into the office to change my payment to a monthly. I still kept receiving collection calls from the business. I received another call and the representative spoke to me in Spanish. My last name is by all means American. She proceeded to tell me that I 14 days past due an a payment had not been made. I recapped the previous call I had with the other representative. She was rude and stated she would notate the call with that I was pist off and would be in the office. I went into the office and again was told different information. This company lacks communication and the ability to have great customer service. I then had to leave still without my issues resolved as a manager was not in the office. I will never again do business with this company or refer them to anyone else for that matter.

Mrs. [redacted] purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram on December 23, 2014 VIN# [redacted] with 114,810 actual miles.  Mrs. [redacted] was provided as part of his purchase a 12 month or 15,000 mile limited warranty.   Mrs. [redacted] did set an appointment but did...

not want us to do anything to the vehicle because she was not going to pay the deductible.  We never had a chance to even diagnose any issues with the vehicle.  Mrs. [redacted] has a limited warranty that comes complimentary with the purchase of her 2005 Dodge Ram.  That warranty comes with a $250.00 deductible per covered component.  (See Attached) If Mrs. [redacted] would like the vehicle to be repaired she can contact the service department at ###-###-####.  There is no refund warranted here however we have not denied repair and would be more then happy to fix her vehicle if she pays the deductible due, which is pursuant to the warranty agreement she signed.  Mrs. [redacted] decided that she was not going to pay a deductible and would not let us work on the vehicle.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me at the number below.[redacted]Regional Manager

On 10/12/2012 Ms. [redacted] obtained a loan from Auto Now Financial Services. Her first payment was scheduled on 10/27/2012 and then bi-weekly thereafter. Her first was scheduled for $36.99 and Ms. [redacted] only paid $34.52, her  payment history from that point on was irregular. We...

worked with Ms. [redacted] and accepted several of her late payments all the way through 4/15/2013, at which point Ms. [redacted] stopped making payments to her account. Attempts were made to contact her to no avail. Her account defaulted and we proceeded to attempt to collect the debt. On 10/31/2013 we mailed her a letter letting her know of our intent to file legal action. This letter gave her ten days to contact us and pay her debt before we proceeded with civil litigation. A copy has been attachedOn 11/08/2013 we received a call from Ms. [redacted]s boyfriend, we let him know that we need her to authorize us to speak with him about her account. Ms. [redacted] got on the line and gave us permission to discuss her account. At that point the agreement was made for them to pay $136 for six months starting on 11/25/2013... Urgency was placed on the fact that this agreement must be kept without fail in order for us not to pursue any further civil litigation. On 11/12/2013 a letter was mailed to Ms. [redacted] to validate the agreement that wasmade during the conversation. A copy of the letter has been attached. On 11/25/2013 Ms. [redacted]'s boyfriend [redacted] called in to make a payment of $136, the payment was taken successfully. On 12/20/2013 Ms. [redacted] called in to make a payment of $136, the payment was taken successfully. In February 2014 we proceeded with civil litigation since no payments were made by Ms. [redacted] after 12/20/2013 and she defaulted on her agreement once again. It has not been two years since we had contact with Ms. [redacted] since she made a payment on 12/20/2013, about 10 months ago. Ms. [redacted] was fully aware of the debt that she needed to pay back and the amounts that she owed. She was also clearly made aware that if the final agreement was not kept we would continue with civil litigation. Though it may seem like a lot of time has come by we cannot control the amount of time that it takes for the courts to process the paper work. We apologize about how long it has taken with the courts, but again we cannot control that. We feel that we gave ample time to Ms. [redacted] to take care of her debt and kept her informed of everything that was going on with her account. Please feel free to contact me with any further concerns. [redacted]ager

This company is a fraud! They operate under different names for a reason! The employees who work there need better customer service! Maybe training classes because you know they do not do that! I paid his company 10,000 on a 2003 Ford Expedition which they tweaked the transmission hose and it comes out and leaks transmission fluid everywhere! I asked them SEVERAL times for a copy of my original contract to be mailed and they said they could not mail it. They sent a lady by the name of Jana to repo our truck and she was very rude. I have phone conversations of these peoples conduct. The lady Jana said in order for me to get my belongings out the truck I had to meet her on [redacted] and would have my stuff in a bag. I asked her I would like to come to her business and it took her several calls to tell me it and then told me to stop calling her because I am wasting her time. DO NOT GET A CAR FROM THIS PLACE! They are scam artist and try to take from people who have to work hard for a living to survive. I will be taking them to court and Jana.

In response to complaint filed by [redacted] dated 6/10/16, the following response is submitted:

font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
We have reviewed our records and interactions with Mr. [redacted] and have found at no time have any of our employees conducted themselves in a unprofessional manner.  In most interactions with Mr. [redacted], he has been aggressive with our representatives and has stated that he is not going to deal with our company or we must not know who he is.  He has advised us that he will record all conversations, and will set up any employee who contacts him to violate FDCPA and sue us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

That's not I was told at the location, I was told that there was no reason to have the second party come in to the office that the verification team denied the loan for not having enough transactions on my bank statement to qualify. I asked what does that mean they stated that they want to see what I'm spending my money on and I did not use my card enough and or pulled out too much money. The agents at the location suggested that I reapply after I use my card more monthly. The company website needs to be updated with correct information because I brought in all required documentation. Furthermore I asked the female agent for a letter or email with the denial letter she stated that even though you asked for my social security number your decision was not based off credit information that you based your decision based off my bank statement. Someone at your company is not stating the truth to me and I asked for the number to the verification office several times I was told there was no one I could talk too. Your response that the loan was never submitted shocks me because several agents at that location said it was submitted and denied.  Please update your marketing information to reflect how you reach your decisions. Regards,

We have reached out to Ms. [redacted] and have scheduled a tentative meeting at our office in order to reach a resolution in this matter.

I have received the refund check and will consider my original complaint resolved.
However, I would like it to be known by AutoNow that after calling in for payoff on 8/29, I called in two more times for updated payoff information.
I was misquoted on one of those calls by nearly $600, then, it was admitted that the GPS fee was never added.
I feel that AutoNow should coach their employees on this matter.

Hi I am buying a car from drive now which is auto now as well. I went in and talked to a manager about this funky smell in my car we believe its the carpet and then we lifted my back seat we did and deep clean in the car to try and get rid of smell but it only got worse there was black mold. Under the back seat I addressed it to the manager and took pictures of it and he told me there was nothing he could do about it. He said he would call me the following Monday and it never happened and since I have not heard one word about it the smell is still there and the black mold. It is a horrible situation to be in and the fact this company does not want to do anything about it.

I am not a satisfied customer

I don't understand why they think it's okay to sell a vehicle with 3 prior accidents without telling...

the purchaser..... The reason this wasn't disclosed is there would have not been a sale. No one in their right mind would have paid over 12,000.00 for a vehicle that had been in one accident let alone 3 with admitted frame damage from the auction place they purchased it from. This is not a claim on a whim I do have documents submitted to me via the insurance company on the birth of the vehicle, to all 3 prior accidents, to the auction disclosing the frame damage before purchase, to the sale of that vehicle.
