To Whom It May Concern: This document is in response to the letter of complaint filed against Madisonseating by [redacted] The novelty with our company is that we sell brand name ergonomic office chair that retail for close to $1000+ at practically half the price ($450+)We back our open box products 100% by offering a day return and year warranty with [redacted] The consumer purchased a brand name chair that retails for $900+ for the sale price of $The chair was clearly advertised as Open Box condition in Red LetteringThe following is the definition of open box, as detailed on our website: “"Open Box" simply means that the item has been removed from its original packagingThe chair was returned, refurbished, reconditioned, or the price has been reduced due to an overstock of open box inventory.” We have thousands of satisfied customers who are grateful that we offer these brand name ergonomic office chairs at affordable pricesThe customer received exactly what was advertisedThe issue was that she did not find the chair to be as comfortable as she had anticipatedWhen the customer was informed that our day return policy allowed for the return of the product, but that she would be responsible for the shipping expenses, the consumer began threatening us about writing negative feedback all over the internetWe have a strict policy about not giving into this type of “bullying”We do not provide return services, and will not make an exception for this consumer because of threats to write negative and inaccurate reviews about our companyAt this time, if the customer is not happy with the chair received, she is welcome to activate the day return that is offered to all our customersA refund will be issued upon receipt of the returned merchandiseBest regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Madison Seating did NOT respond issue.My complaint is NOT with the RETURN or REFUND rules I understand those rules I requested a refund ONLY because they REMOVED the SERIAL NUMBER from the chair I purchased and will not tell me what the number was or why it was removed.My complaint is with advertising about the REMOVAL of the serial number which means that I can't order replacement parts from the manufacturer I understand the rules that Madison Seating has for chairs that break after days which is that customers must pay to ship them back for repair I live in California and the shipping costs to and from New York are more than the chair cost I want to have the serial number so I can order a replacement part Madison Seating admitted that they removed the serial number, so they should have a record of it.Madison Seating should NOT remove a serial number from items it sells without advertising that fact.If they won't provide me with the serial number, then I would like to return the chair for a refund due to advertising

[redacted] ***This document is in response to the letter of complaint filed against Madisonseating by [redacted] Our mutual customer placed an online order with our company on for a computer chair from Flash Furniture for $(Free shipping).Since we are an authorized dealer of Flash Furniture, the merchandise gets released directly from manufacturer’s facility.The customer contacted us to say the chair arrived missing hardware and/or the hardware sent was incorrectWe asked the customer to submit photos so that we can make sure the correct parts would be sent to remedy the issueHowever, the customer refused to send the necessary photos needed to ensure the correct hardware would be shippedWe had no choice but to send out the hardware based solely on his brief email description of the problem.Upon receipt of the replacement hardware the customer contacted us again to say the parts were not fixing the issues he was having for the chairHowever, the customer was being uncooperative with sending a photo that would have given us the necessary information needed to resolve this simple matterIt was clear that sending additional parts would result in a similar outcome since we were uncertain what the exact problem was with the chair received.As a fair resolution we offered to give the customer a full refund back if he donates the chair to a local charity of his choice.If the merchandise is indeed unusable to the customer, we are confused why he insists on keeping the product and getting a full refundIn addition, if the customer simply supplied us with photos of the defects he claimed was on this chair, we could have avoided all the issues and had the product picked up for refundManufacturers require a photo to substantiate claims of defects in order for a pick up to be authorized.At this time, we would be happy to just issue the customer a full credit once the chair has been donated to charity.We are sorry this issue was escalated unnecessarilyIt is difficult to provide excellent customer service when the customer refuses to send pertinent information to help resolve issuesPlease let us know where we could have improved our services based on this complaint.Warm regardsMadisonseating.com###-###-####

To Whom It May Concern: This document is in response to the letter of complaint filed against Madisonseating by [redacted] The customer purchased a brand name office chair from our company at a heavily discounted rateThe chair arrived via Fedex ground service within the 7-business day time indicated at the time of purchaseThe customer contacted us upon receipt of the item and stated there was a minor scratch on the base of the chairWe assured the customer the item left our facility in perfect condition and apologized for the minor scratch that occurred during the transit of the itemIn order to mitigate any further inconvenience by having the entire chair returned for replacement, we offered the customer an additional credit to either keep the chair with the minor scratch, or the option to pick up the entire chair for a free replacementWe were polite and courteous in our offer and felt the proposal was fair given the situationThe customer emailed us back the following, using foul and aggressive language“It's not good customer serviceIt's saving you money! It would cost you more than $for shipping costs and repairing or replacing the scratched partForcing your customer to haggle over a modest compensation is not good customer service, which I'll be happy to share with othersI'll take your $ [redacted] you very much.” Needles to say, we were shocked to have that type of response for what we felt was a positive customer service response to his issueIf the customer did not feel the compensation was to his satisfaction, we offered him the option of a free pick up for a replacement or full refundInstead, the customer used the opportunity to demand more compensation or he would threaten us with bad reviewsAt that point, management did not feel comfortable having this particular customer keep the merchandise and our company being subjected to any more aggressive emails or threatsWe sent the customer a pre paid label and upon return of the product, a full refund will be issued back to his accountWe appreciate the Revdex.com getting involvedWe prefer you continue to be the intermediary for this issue as the customer appears to be very belligerentThank you Best regards, [redacted]
