Review: We took our 2006 truck in for a simple filter change and now have to have a complete head gasket repair due to the mechanic plugging an essential hose with a cap and blocking flow to our engine. We returned to this shop 2 more times trying to figure out what was going on and were assured all was well. After being towed to another shop it was discovered that the hose had been capped causing $7000 worth of damage to our truck AND WE PAID THIS FOOL EACH TIME WE WERE IN HIS SHOP. ALL OF IT DUE TO HIS NEGLIGENCE.Desired Settlement: I believe this shop should be liable for the cost of repairs at the current shop. The suffering we have endured is priceless!

To whom and all concerned and to those who don't give a rat's behind. On the [redacted]'s 2006 Ford F-250 6.0 diesel, which has been plagued since it's inception, beginning in the late 2003 to 2007.This vehicle has had many factory " Technical Service Bulletins", about 5 dozen of them, on this engine alone. To claim that a fuel filter caused a head gasket problem is ludicrous. And that I plugged a hose is far fetched. That is not how I have operated in the last 40 plus years I have been in the Automotive field. The [redacted]'s need to be realistic and face that their modified vehicle could have been a lemon since the beginning or they are trying to pass the buck. For the TSB's one can look them up or ask anyone about the 6.0 diesel

Review: On 09/07/12, I purchased an automobile from AutoWorld with an extended Warranty contract valued at $1990.00. Within just a few weeks of owning the vehicle, it was necessary for several repairs to be made. All of which I have copies of the repair work completed and dated. Not only were none of the repairs covered under the enxtended warranty service contract but I found it difficult for even a mechanic to accept the warranty company due to disputes and conflict they had with the warranty company relating to past customer service experiences and payments. I can understand the "fine print" of the warranty contract and that not everything will be covered. However, it seems that everything is considered "maintenence" nowadays and thus, NOTHING is covered. When I purchase an electronic device at say, [redacted]...I never purchase the extended warranty. Why? Because after 5 or six years the product is upgraded or even discontinued. With a new or used vehicle, you expect to be driving the car fairly longer than that, thus appreciating the security of purchasing an extended warranty for whatever happens down the road- pun intended. The [redacted]. warranty was listed on the brochure as "ultimate value." How so? Value to whom? Had I known the automobile was in such sad shape internally, I would have never purchased it. I chose the extended warranty because I expected that some things along the way would require attention because it is indeed...an old car. Is it ancient? No. It was a 2003. The car is only 10 years old. Then there's the matter of the Internet ad. The ad regarding the vehicle in question was listed as being in "pristine condition" at time of sale. I have copies of both the brochure and the vehicle sales ad from the Internet listing. So, I'm not sure who really is to blame, all I know is I had to tap my 401k savings to put down a down-payment on this car and within seven months I had the head gasket replaced (not cheap), the valve cover gasket set/wires/spark plugs replaced and I needed a NEW battery installed TWO DAYS after I drove the car off the lot! "Pristine condition?" I think not. Total cost of repairs and vehcile analysis in seven months: $2137.60

I'm going to list the complaint as "Bait and Switch" because I believe it comes down to that mostly on both issues. I can fully understand that it is an older car and had 105,549 miles when I purchased it, and that future repairs would be expected, but the warranty and the listed condition of the car was misleading.Desired Settlement: I would like (if possible) a refund on the cost of the extended warranty to apply back to the total cost of what I paid for this vehicle over the last six and half months. If that cannot be done, I would like an adjustment on my car payment.

The warranty cost was $1990.00.

My car payment a month is $161.26

I can include all this documentation at request if necessary.

Review: Purchased a vehicle (1999 [redacted] with 42,475 miles) with a 3 month warranty from Auto World on 4/17/14 and on 5/3/14 the transmission light came on as well the engine light after driving the vehicle for less than 800 miles. In addition, when we got home later on May 1, 2014 we received a letter from the warranty company stating they will not will honor the warranty due to the vehicle being a twin turbo. As of right now I don't have a warranty, I have a vehicle with a bad transmission, engine component issues, 3 bad tires, bad strut, etc - over $8,300 worth of repairs.

In addition, it had a bad fog light and they were supposed to mail me the fog light and I have never received it. The transmission is bad and needs to be replaced and there is also multiple engine problems discovered by my PA Licensed Inspection Mechanic. In addition, the vehicle was purchased with new (April) inspection and emissions stickers. The vehicle never should have been sold with a faulty safety inspection and the numerous issues with the vehicle My mechanic informed that the vehicle has three dry rotted tires, a leaking strut and numerous other items that would not and should not have passed Pennsylvania Safety Inspection. The total repair estimate to fix all the faulty issues with the vehicle is $8,309.58.

Auto World will not come and pick the vehicle up to repair it and they will not repair all the necessary items to fix the vehicle to make it drivable. They are not honorable, respectful business people.

The person who sold me the vehicle ([redacted]) will not tell me who the owners of the company (Auto World) are and will not tell me who inspected the vehicle and slapped PA Inspection Stickers stickers on a vehicle that should not have passed PA Safety Inspection.Desired Settlement: I want to return the vehicle to Auto World and get my money back for what I paid for it. Auto World can do what they want with the vehicle after refunding the money and everyone can move on.

Attn: [redacted]Customer Review: Customer [redacted] claims to have mechanical issues with a 1999 [redacted] (Vin[redacted]) purchased on 04/17/2014.Company Response: A 1999 [redacted] (Vin [redacted]) with 42,475 miles was sold to [redacted] and [redacted] along with the purchase of a LIMITED WARRANTY purchased from [redacted] Protection Plus Inc. The Vehicle Buyers Order (signed by **. and [redacted]. [redacted]) clearly states: "Used car is covered by a LIMITED WARRANTY detailed in a separate document." The documentsales contract between ** and [redacted]. [redacted] and [redacted]. Protection Plus states in detail as to what the warranty is limited to. Importantly, the PA State Buyers Guide (signed by **. and [redacted]. [redacted]) states clearly: "LIMITED WARRANTY (in bold capital letters). The dealer will pay 0% of the labor and % of the parts for the covered systems that fail during the warranty period." Additionally, the [redacted] report (showing any known documented history available to us) was available for free to be reviewed (as for all of our vehicles) online advertised on our website www.autoworldpa.com. We did not hide any information from the above Stated customers and did our utmost to provide them with any information at hand. **. and [redacted]. [redacted] were both happy and satisfied with the state of the vehicle at the time both cosmetically (ie, tires) and its condition (and chose to purchase it at our asking price), and was also aware of what the aftermarket warranty was limited to (as he signed the warranty contract which noted all covered components). **. and [redacted]. [redacted] were not mislead by Auto World Sales & Service L.C., any of its members, associates, affiliates or by any of its employees. We do not know how many miles the vehicle has been driven since purchase or importantly, how it was driven. **. [redacted] claims (In his complaint to the Revdex.com) that he has put 800 miles on the above stated vehicle. We certainly do not know or can control **. or [redacted]. [redacted]s driving habits which may have contributed to the repairs claimed. Additionally, we cannot control the contact or actions between the purchasers and [redacted]. Protection Plus, Inc. as this is between the two parties. Initially, [redacted]. Protection Plus, Inc. declined the 90 Day4,500 mile Power Train Coverage as a standard procedure due to the vehicle having being a biturbo. We told **. [redacted] that we would contact the Warranty Company and would also stand behind the stated terms in the contract regardless of the outcome with [redacted]. Protection Plus, Inc, nothing else or more was promised, expressed or implied. Please note that we offered that assistance to **.[redacted] blindly, as we were not able to even verify his claims. I believe that alone shows our good intent and that we are honorable as well as respectful business people. However, after we contacted and spoke with them, [redacted]. Protection Plus, Inc. did revise their decision and notified both Auto World and the [redacted]s that the vehicle is covered and limited to what is on the Powertrain

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:We purchased the vehicle with a warranty and 16 days (April 30 2014) after being purchased we received a letter stating the vehicle would not be warrantied by the [redacted] Protection Plus Insurance due to the vehicle being a Twin Turbo. We did receive some sort of warranty from [redacted] Protection effective May 20, 2014 but the warranty is useless since the car broke down a 20 or so days before the start date off the warranty. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this warranty since vehicle in not -drivable unless Auto World expects me to commit insurance fraud. The warranty is USELESS since the vehicle started having major problems 20 days or so before the warranty became active. I can't even drive the vehicle due to the bad trans and major engine/fuel problems. My plan was to extend the 90 day warranty but I can't do that now. I have a vehicle with $8,000 in repairs after owning it for 16 days: Transmission Failure / Engine and Fuel Problems / bad strut and dry rotted tires. I have proposed to Auto World to take the vehicle back - give me my money back and they can install the $600 transmission and resell the vehicle.
