Autoline Transport Reviews (28)

I can't say enough good things about this company. It was an outstanding experience. No hassle, on time, and painless! Getting my car to Houston was one less thing I had to worry about, so thank you Autoline Transport for making my life so much easier! Their driver was polite and their equipment is new and well kept. I had no worries handing off my keys to the driver. Very trustworthy company, and I highly recommended using them.

After making a handful of phone calls to various auto shipping services, and subsequently checking out Yelp reviews, I selected Autoline Transport. Their pricing was substantially lower than other carriers, it was easy to obtain a quote by telephone, and my automobile arrived in perfect condition and even earlier than I had expected. [redacted] was my point of contact and it felt more like I was talking to a family member as opposed to a business! Why look anywhere else? Contact [redacted] with confidence. She takes care of everything quickly and professionally.

Great communication, awesome service, and knowledgeable staff. this company was truly great compared to another company I had dealt with to transport my car. They set up the transport in a matter of 2 hours. The driver was nice and professional and my car arrived in perfect timing.

My husband and I received a quote for $475 to pickup a car we just purchased from an auto dealer in San Jose and transport to Oregon. This rate seemed a little high (10 hour drive), but this company's rep stated that they would deliver to our door in a timely manner (couple of days) so we decided to move forward for the sake of convenience. After not hearing any updates after a couple of days, my husband followed up with the rep to get an updated status, and the rep stated that the drivers were unwilling to pick up the car for the rate quoted. She had forgotten about our car and was very apologetic, stating that she would do her best to get a driver to pick up the next business day. Again, no follow up was received from this rep, so my husband called to inquire on status. The response was similar - no drivers were willing to take the rate quoted, and the rep was so very sorry she had dropped the ball. This same conversation happened again and again for 2 weeks - rep promising that a driver would pick up the next day. Finally, in the third week, the rep stated that we would need to pay $575 to get the car delivered by the weekend. Needless to say, we cancelled our order with this company and my husband is going to buy an airline ticket to pickup and drive the car home himself.

Overall, this company has been shockingly unprofessional and misleading in the timeliness and quality of information provided to us. I wish we had known more about this company before entering into any agreement to have our vehicle shipped, as we would not have made any agreement to have a vehicle shipped.

Review: Enter into agreement with company to use their services to transport my vehicles upon getting discharged from military. Company was not able to deliver those services and we asked for a full refund. They charged a booking fee and another fee for auto protection material. They canceled our transport order the day before I was suppose to fly out of area. We coven shipped backed the auto protection material back since it was shipped after we already left the area. So we didn't use any of their services and requested a full refund but it was not fully refunded.Desired Settlement: To refund our money for returned items.

Response:

We were sorry to see this customer cancel their order when they did. We did our best to try and move their vehicles but unfortunately their shipping timeframes were unreasonable for their budget. Customer was refunded all monies for brokerage services. In regards to the RoadWrap they purchased, as informed, we will refund as soon as they are returned.

Review: After an extensive search for auto transport companies and an extensive review of Autoline Transport website I booked a pick up with them. After having booked with them, the company told me that they would not honor the pick up delivery location. Instead, I was told that I would have to drive my car outside of the city for pick up and travel outside of the city delivery location (by 1.5 hours) to another location for pick up. I asked if this involved a reduction in the original "door-to-door" price. The sales representative on the other end of the phone began yelling at me and told me I was being difficult. I then asked for the sales representative's name and to speak to a supervisor. The representative then yelled, "you don't appreciate honesty all companies will do this to you, I am being honest" and then the representative hung up on me. Frightening experience of failure to honor the agreement.Desired Settlement: Autoline should not treat customers in this manner and they should either change their business practices to meet the agreement or practice "honesty" on their website so that they can meet agreement terms.

Customer pickup location was outside of our networks operable area. Our sales person ([redacted]) informed customer, upon placing order, that there will very likely be a longer than normal delay and possibly an increase in rate for us to find a carrier on this particular route. Unfortunately the customer required a pickup and delivery timeframe which was not realistic for the route nor did they want to pay a premium to do so. This required us to explore other options outside of our standard search, to carriers (auto hauler trucks) on surrounding routes. In doing so we found a carrier who was willing to meet customer at a location on their route, which yes was about 45 minutes away from customers requested pickup location. This carrier requested a rate which was slightly above what was originally quoted to customer. We offered to pay $50 of this fee to help offset cost. Customer requested a greater discount, but unfortunately since carriers rates are set there was no further room to budge. We do apologize for Ms. [redacted]’s time lost in us searching for a solution for her. We did our best to meet her demands but unfortunately we could not come to an agreement. In regards to the claim of our Sales Rep being rude; We will look into this. Up till this point [redacted] has had a very high customer approval record and is one of our most experienced sales people. Again we do apologize for any inconvenience caused and will use this complaint to help better our customer support in the future.

Review: I contacted this company to ship my car from CT to NV due to my family relocating. I accepted to pay them the exact $ amount they asked for the service and I provided them with three weeks to perform these services, which was more than enough time based on the conversations I had with the sales rep ([redacted]). Two weeks went by and I decided to follow up in order to find out when my car would be picked up. I continued to get vague answers about when it will be picked up, but I was also told to not contact any other companies, and that they will pick up and deliver the car as promissed. The week came and went and I still did not hear from them. Followed up again as now I have to leave my home in CT (October 1st, 2015) and I am flying to NV as of Oct 6th. At that time [redacted] informs me that her manager is workign on this order (this order should have been furfilled by now, since it was placed the first week in September). I asked her what is the delay and why I have not been notified about this issue, since I now I find my self with a car that I have to leave behind and no other options. I was told I can go ahead and find another company if I was not happy with their service. That would have been fine, if I had the time but unfortunately my entire family will be on a flight as of Monday and now we will have not car to use at our destination, and a car left in a random parking lot without any idea as to when it will be shipped and who will be taking care of it.

This has been one of the most frustrating and disapointing transactios I have ever experience. I have never had to use your company, and I full understand that there issues that araise in business, but the lack of communication, and the fact that I even called the manager left a voice mail and no one has called me back, makes this company inadequate to be in this business.

Due to my tight time frame now I need to incur additioanl expenses to find a company that can do an expedite delivery.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to pay for any overcharges I will incure due to having the service performed by another company under a tight time frame.

Customer Was informed when placing order that this particular shipping route was very overbooked and should expect up to one to three weeks for a carrier to become available at the price point she was quoted. We did offer her a service guarantee price of roughly $900 more than the standard price which would guarantee pickup and delivery dates. Customer choose to go with lower price, but then demanded service under the performance guarantee. For the service selected by the customer we were completely within our service terms. We will be more than happy to provide proof of contractual agreement. We did not charge customer any fees and therefore nothing will be refunded.

Review: Charged $175 for a botched pickup and delivery of a Porsche automobile. Original pickup date was changed for unknown reasons. Guaranteed second pickup attempt changed for unknown reasons. The car seller in Salt Lake city decided to go another route in the wake of my failed attempts to retrieve his Porsche Turbo 911. AUTOLINE claims the seller in Salt Lake City didn't have my money and that he therefore wasn't ready to transport Vehicle. That was on a MONDAY, delivery was scheduled originally for Tuesday. Seller received his money on Monday and Tuesday pickup would have worked perfectly, had Autoline followed through on their commitment to me.Desired Settlement: I want my $175 deposit refunded.

Response:

Customer gave us a date to pickup his vehicle for which we had a truck available. This date was agreed upon and this is when customer paid our pickup fee (deposit). Our driver was dispatched to pickup his vehicle on said date. Upon arriving for pickup our driver was told by pickup person that vehicle had not been paid for and he would not release the vehicle. We attempted to reschedule pickup but apparently customer never followed through with purchase. We contacted the seller of the car [pickup contact] who informed us that he had sold vehicle to another party due to lack of payment from former buyer. Per our contract, once a truck has been dispatched for pickup the deposit is no longer refundable as we now must pay our carrier a cancelation fee. Therefore this customer will not be refunded.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Agreed on date was changed twice by shipping company, and had nothing to do with payment receipt by seller. Here are the sellers own words:
