Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
I'm afraid that my statements are totally being ignored. Is what I've said being read? It is not a warranty issue, your employees did not know how to properly diagnose a bad head gasket, and replaced unnecessary parts. The same leak I brought the truck in for was unchanged, and still being lost inside the engine after I paid Allen Samuels my money. Also, you did not want to diagnose it the second time I tried, I was even told I was going to have to pay an additional $125.00 diagnostic fee until I argued with the lady that I should not have to pay again less than a week later. So much for honoring the warranty that is claimed to be in place. Unfortunately that did not matter, because it was briefly glanced over and I was sent on my way, all within an hour. Please explain how this is good business and quality customer care.

Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2018 10:45 AMTo: drteamCc: [redacted]Subject: Compliant #[redacted] I would like to address Mr. [redacted]’s compliant regarding AutoNation CDJR Katy. We were advertising a vehicle on line for $12,000.00 and Mr. [redacted] chose to go to his own finance source. The information that Mr. [redacted] finance source has provide him is not a true statement. First of all, there is no law that states a dealer must use KKB as it source of valuing vehicles. There are many sources available, KKB, NADA and Black book to name a few. Each source has three different figures that they use, Retail, Wholesale and Loan Value. Loan Value is the lowest of the three numbers available to everyone and what a financial institution is willing to give a customer, that is what Mr. [redacted] was provided by his lender. There are other factors that lending institutions use, such as credit scores, credit history’s etc. The actual retail [redacted] of the vehicle Mr. [redacted] was interested in purchasing was above the advertised price. We cannot control what his Financial Institution decides to give him based on the above factors. I have included a copy of the retail KBB on the vehicle and Mr. [redacted] was totally mislead based on the information that he was provide by his loan officer. Below is a link to the KBB retail price which shows the average retail price for the mentioned vehicle as $10,700.00 to $13,000.00 based on condition. https://www.kbb.com/kia/sportage/2012/lx-sport-utility-4d/?vehicleid... feel free to let me know if there is anything else we can do to provide the proper information regarding the purchase of this vehicle. Sincerely, Bill [redacted]Market President HoustonAutoNation3900 Southwest FreewayHouston, TX 77027713-986-6440-O

Sorry she is not happy, we tried to offer her alternate transportation, she declined.  We extracted the carpets and applied an anti-fungal to the carpets.  We also filled up her tank with gas.  We did all of this at no charge to the customer.  I am sorry she is not happy but I feel we did the best we could in the situation that we were given.

Regards,
Hello,I received the attachment that I sent to you on 1/11/2017. I did not have that when I  bought the vehicle. The salesman said that it was a Rubicon; that was why I bought it.  I took his words for it and now, I found out it was not.  If it was not a Rubicon, why did not the dealer remove the word Rubicon from the hood before selling it to me.  The dealer left the word Rubicon on the hood when I received the vehicle, that meant the dealer agreed with the salesman representation.

I see on the invoice that there is an authorization #[redacted] in the amount of $1,866.15 with a deductable of $100.00 paid by Visa.  It looks like the consumer had a warranty that paid the majority of this bill, can we have documentation explaining the two different types of pay to [redacted] works?  Who is the Extended warranty that the customer has?

Regards,  Again, nothing is being said about why I was told I would have to pay again to get my vehicle looked at when I brought it in the next week following repairs. How can you not offer a reasonable explanation and claim you honor warranty work?

I am sorry but that is the Lemon Law, I cannot change the rules for filing the Lemon Law they consumer has to.

We did the repairs on 04-14-2014 and after the initial return of Mr. [redacted] the following week.  I have had no phone call since that repair to let me know there was an issue.  We stand behind our work for 12 months or 12,000 miles and if he had an issue that he felt was related to the...

repairs that we performed then he should have made arrangement to get the vehicle to us.  It has been over the year time frame so his warranty is not valid.  I have no idea how many miles weredriven from 04-14-2014.  If a customer has an issue on our quality of workmanship then they have to bring it back to us with the time frame set by our warranty. Sorry I will not refund him and repairs he made elsewhere.
