AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix Reviews (32)

Policy is being cancelled and my Finance Director will be in touch with customer to refund amount to her credit card.

I bought 2 cars in Oct 2013 from Autonation Dodge in Phoenix, AZ. I purchased their EVTS system on both cars and a warranty on another. After finding out I had Onstar (superior to EVTS) I canceled it on both car on Nov. 7, 2013. I also canceled the warranty on one car due to use change.
I have asked various people of all levels at the dealership why my account has not been credited multiple times. Each time I am told that its on its way. I have even emailed the GM, Mr. [redacted]. I get the same run around. Mr. [redacted] seems to be more interested in blaming Chrysler or anyone else for the problems.
I have bought multiple vehicles from this dealership since 2002. Their customer service is the worst. They ignore you you in the service area, I guess in hopes that you will just go away. Their finance people or person have made comments to me that they now know were to steal nice cars (because they dont have EVTS).
I also bought a "Certified pre-owned" truck from them in Nov. 2013 and it was less that "certified". On the way home from the dealer the wiper fluid light comes on. 2 days later I bought fluid and as I am pouring it in, I notice that it is pouring out from underneath. I then looked at the oil and it was black and dirty.
I would never buy another vehicle from this dealer or any Autonation dealership as it seems their committment has changed! Buyer beware!
As of today, I have not recieved account credit for the above cars bought in Oct 2013. The amount owed in over $4000.00. If I owed the dealership over $4000.00, would they wait for their money?
Mr. [redacted], the GM, seems to be more interested in saving face of his dealership then correcting major problems that force loyal customers to leave and NEVER return.

I was promised a Jeep Wrangler with window tinting, a tow package, detailing prior to pick-up, and a full tank of gas. After having the pick-up date delayed (for some reason) 3 times, we arrived at 10 AM saturday morning, 4/23/16 for pick-up as agreed. The Jeep was dirty, no tinting, the tow package didn't include a wiring harness, and the gas tank was empty. Also, there was no window sticker for the vehicle, so I wasn't even sure of what I was buying! When I asked about the sticker, I was told that there wasn't one and it would take a week to get one. I then asked about the lack of a wiring harness, and the salesman said that the jeep doesn't come with one. When I disagreed, he became loud, very angry, and actually threatened me. That was it, and I went to the sales manager who immediately apologized for the salesman's actions, and agreed that we were entitled to the harness. With the harness installed 4 hours later, we were on our way after having to sit through filling out the paperwork 3 times!!! We started this adventure at 10 AM and finally left at 6:30 PM with a dirty new Jeep, no tinting, no sticker, and an empty gas tank. Needless to say, no one spent any time introducing us to the Jeep in any way as the sales staff was as anxious to get me out of there as I was to leave. Very bad experience. BUYER BEWARE!

Recently I tried to purchase a vehicle with Auto Nation Dodge. Due to lack of financing, the deal fell through. Auto Nation requested that I return the car. The car was returned promptly and I was told that if they came to a conclusion, they would contact me so that I can come back to pick up the car. On 12/20/2014, I received a letter in the mail stating that a claim had been received by [redacted] against me, from Auto Nation. It stated that I had been in an accident.

I had not been in an accident. They stated that the vehicle had body damage.

The body damage that they are referring to was never mentioned to me, nor was I ever contacted by Auto Nation about any issues. The car was returned on 12/11/2015 at Auto Nation's request, due to lack of financing! The representative came outside with me, took the keys, circled the vehicle multiple times, made sure I had everything out of the vehicle, and removed my temporary license plate. He shook my hand and sent me on my way.

The claim sent by [redacted] states that the "so called" damage took place on the 11th of December. They didn't report anything to [redacted] until the 16th. The car was sitting on their lot for 5 days before they decided to report anything. I nor [redacted] should be liable for anything that may have happened on their lot during that time. I have attempted to contact Auto Nation, with no success. No call has been returned.

On another note, Auto Nation seems very disgruntled. Recently they attempted to sell me a car. They purchased my 2005 Dodge Stratus from my finance company, put everything in their name, and sold my previous car in an auction. After they did this, the company that was going to pick up the loan (2014 Dodge Dart) decided to back out. At this point, they had already purchased my car and had to eat $4400. I was left without a vehicle. They called the finance company for my 2005 I traded in and stated that I decided to return the car because I didn't like it anymore and changed my mind. They then tried to have the finance company return their money (for a car they sold) and reopen my loan. When they saw that this was a long shot, now a claim has been received by [redacted] for "Body Damage." I don't know what the total "damages" are, but wouldn't be surprised if they totaled $4400. I am going to call the corporate office of Auto Nation in [redacted] to file a complaint. I find it disrespectful that they would try these various attempts. I won't be paying for any "Damages," nor should [redacted].

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTONATION!!!!!!!

I had the intention of buying my first vehicle from this AutoNation. I was financing an auto loan through a bank to purchase a vehicle I had picked out. Before signing the loan I called the AutoNation to confirm that the vehicle was still available. They lied to me and told me that the vehicle was still there and told me I could sign for my loan. When I arrived at the AutoNation it was a different story. They had sold that vehicle days ago but just so conveniently had another more expensive car prepared out and ready to go for me. The salesman told me to trust him that the vehile was in perfect condition. The bank loan however was for the original vehicle so I couldn't use my loan on the car they were trying to sell me and what they did is essentially bank fraud. I told them I wasn't interested and walked out of the dealership. The salesman followed me out to the parking lot and harassed me for 20 minutes telling me I could still use my loan even tho I had just spoken to my bank and they had told me the check is no good on a different vehicle. The salesman proceeded to tell me that I didn't know what I was talking about and after going home I looked up the vehicle they were trying to sell me and it was a salvaged title. I will never return to this AutoNation.

I am making a formal complaint against an employee named Jordan. Unfortunately, no one will give me his last name. He works in sales and possibly as a receptionist. On Friday evening, April 15th, my boyfriend and I went to Autonation to test drive a Dodge Durango. We test drove with a salesman named Gor and once we were done he introduced us to Jordan. The four of us sat down to talk and my boyfriend and I told Jordan several times that we wanted to sell our current vehicle and buy the Durango, we would not be trading in our current vehicle at all. We also couldn't stay long that night. Jordan starting in with the pressure right off of the bat, stating they want to buy our vehicle because it's in demand. Again, we told him we weren't ready and needed to leave, and said he would give us $15,000 for our car. My boyfriend said we were looking for $16,500. Jordan said that would be fine and they would take a look at the car and buy it for $16,500 but only if we did this now. I told him again that we couldn't stay and asked if they could give us a moment to talk. After a few minutes we went back to Gor and told him that we had to go, but I would come back to see him on Saturday, which I did without my boyfriend this time. I did bring my son. I test drive the Durango one more time and told Gor that I wanted to buy it. He worked up the numbers, but it was with us trading in our current vehicle. I reminded him that we were selling our vehicle and buying a new one, no trading. He went back to his manager and the numbers on the purchase of my vehicle completely changed. Instead of giving us $16,500 like we were told by Jordan, we were only going to get $12,800. They were going to charge $1500 for new tires, which I only needed to get two new tires, and charge $1000 for the two key scratches, which is completely outrageous. Gor had his sales manager come over (which no one wants to provide his name to me again), he kept working up numbers as if I was doing a trade. I said multiple times that I don't want to do a trade in and no one was listening. Instead, the sales manager started getting irritate with me and told me he can't buy my car and then sell my car. I told him that I called up to the dealership a few times and was told that I can sell my car and then buy another one, which would be two separate transactions. Again, I'm having to say this same phrase several times. The manager then told me that I either take the $12,800 or leave because they won't do a deal with me at all and walked away. I was shocked and very upset that the everything changed from the night before. The manager found Jordan and had him come over to our table, with his sunglasses hanging on the back of his head and a cigarette behind his ear. I asked him why he told me and my boyfriend that they would buy my current vehicle for $16,500 and he immediately denied that and said he only said that to get them to look at the vehicle. He accused me of making him leave the table, when we asked if they could give us a moment to talk. He said he never worked up an order to by my car at $16,500, which is true, because he just wrote all of our info on a piece of paper and getting irritated that we didn't want to sell our vehicle that moment. He told me that my car isn't worth $16,500 and that I either take the $12,800 or leave. He then told me that he only said he would give me $16,500 just so they could look at my vehicle and that would be for a trade in only. I repeated myself multiple times that I'm not trading in my vehicle. Jordan then asked me if I did any research on how much my car is worth and started talking down to me even more. I told Jordan to stop talking to me like that and he wouldn't, it just kept getting worse. I told him that I did my research and my car is worth $17,000 to $19,000 per KBB. Jordan scoffed and said that's ridiculous. I told my son it's time to leave. Jordan asked why I wouldn't let him finish talking and I told him that he's not listening to me and not letting me get a word in edgewise, that I have repeated myself multiple times that I wanted to sell my vehicle and buy a new one, and that I was very upset that the numbers have changed and don't appreciate being lied too. I leaned over to get my purse and Jordan proceeded to try to give me a science lesson on anger. Jordan told me that when you're angry the oxygen doesn't run to your brain and that I'm letting that happened and I'm not thinking straight. He also stood up when I stood up and got closer to my face. I was absolutely appalled and told him to get out of my face and to never talk to me like that again. I grabbed my son, apologized to Gor that Gor's manger and Jordan both cost him a sale. Even my son had to tell Jordan to back off because he wouldn't listen to me or stop I have never been treated like this from a sales person ever. I truly believe that since my boyfriend wasn't with me and that I'm a woman, the entire story changed. I believe Jordan needs to be fired or take anger management classes, because clearly when things aren't going his way, this is the outcome.

We have had a discussion with a disgruntle employee, she would not listen to our issue which was that we never received our new plate for a vehicle we purchased back in August. Never got to speak to a human always left messages for the entire day. We did receive a call from some woman in financing and was VERY rude from the get go. We will never recommend Autonation North. We had great service while we were there when we purchased the vehicle, Bruce was very helpful and we tried to reach him as well and got no answers. Thank You David V[redacted]

I would split cost of repair $325.  We have not had a broken mirror from the car was in the 2 + years I have worked at this dealership.

I recieved complaint on Saturday July 19th.  Check for refund was sent Monday July 21st.  I left a message for Craig today to make sure he got the check.

Worst company to deal with . Employees and talk back to customers if you complain they say without a name they can't do anything. If there is anything wrong with the vehicle if you buy used and you report it before you own it for a week they tell you well you bought it so it's your problem. They don't acuratly put the correct mileage on the paper work when they sell it.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

After contacting AutoNation on Thursday, September 24th about a particular Jeep Wrangler that I wanted to purchase, I told the salesman that their email offer was the one I had selected over four other dealers. He stated that was great and that we definitely had a deal. He was going to be away from work for some training on Friday and we agreed to meet on Saturday to take care of the paperwork and make the transfer. He emphatically stated that 'He had the keys to my Jeep and would lock them in his desk for safekeeping." I did think he made a generous offer to have someone drive to Casa Grande to pick me up as I had to make other arrangements to get to Phoenix.

Late Friday evening, I received a phone call stating that "Someone had gotten into his desk, taken the keys, and my Jeep had been sold". All of this was a great mystery to him as to how this could have happened. He said he wanted to make this right and would get a Jeep that I had been considering at another dealer and would get back with me. I waited two more days before calling for an update and was then told that "That Jeep had been sold, but if necessary, he would get one from Las Vegas and have it sent to Phoenix." After not hearing once again for a couple of days, I called and found out that "All of those Jeeps had been sold and one in San Diego, and they couldn't help me".

Foolishly, since I had made a firm commitment with the salesman early on, I had sold my current vehicle to a neighbor for cash and was without transportation now. While not particularly rude, it was plain to see that they no longer cared for my business nor the deal we had both agreed to. Again this was discussed about "How someone had gotten into his desk and taken the keys and they had no idea who this was". While I have no proof, it became very apparent that some customer had come in on Friday and was willing to pay a higher price than what I had agreed to and left with my Jeep. This had to be a conscious business decision rather than some accident of not knowing. The more we talked about what all they were going to do, the more apparent it became to me that I was being told whatever they felt would get me satisfied, while they had no intention of honoring the deal we had made. After that, I started working with a different dealer and wound up ordering a new Jeep to be built and sent to Arizona. This will take six to eight weeks and has caused me to have to rent a car for that period at my expense. I was wrong to have sold mine before theirs was in my garage, but where I came from, a deal has been reached when two parties make a verbal commitment to honor the conditions.

While there is no resolution to my situation that AutoNation can provide, I do want to add my great displeasure to what I am reading about a number of other customers that have been way less than satisfied with doing business with them. I am being generous when I rate my selection as a Zero for recommending this business to friends as I am not allowed to give negative numbers. I was very surprised when I looked on the Revdex.com site and found this business to have a rating of D+ for customer satisfaction, but now I can fully understand why.
