Buyer beware!
I was in the market to purchase a 2016 – 2019 Lincoln MKX, and located one that look promising at the Auto Nation in Littleton, CO., 7980 West Tufts Avenue. I called the Auto Nation Friday to ensure it was still available, and what the “out of door” cost would be, and that I was going to pay cash. The salesman said it was still available, and will give me the out of door cost once I decide on the type of extended warranty I wanted. I told him okay, and my wife I drove to Auto Nation, and the same salesman showed use the Lincoln MKX. He apologize that it was dirty, it was pulled straight from the line to be detailed. I was fine with that, I can look pass the dirt for the initial review of the car. It looked good, good enough for a test drive. After the test drive I was still please with it, and decided that I wanted to purchase the car. We started on the paper work, again I added that I would pay cash and need the final amount to cut a cashier check at the bank, which was determined to be around $30,000.

Due to Covid-19, I had to set up a appointment with my bank to get the cashier check, I was able to schedule a appointment that Monday afternoon. An hour later at the bank, I had the check ready. I called the dealership and told them I had the check, and will pick up the Lincoln that Monday evening (the dealer was open til 9:00 pm). My wife and I arrived around 6:00 at the dealership. We were asked if we would like to view the car again, now that it is clean. We said Yes, and walked to where the car was located. This when it seemed to get odd. It was in a line of about 8 other vehicles, with sales price stickers and dealer promo stickers on them. The Lincoln MKX, the seven vehicle in line, was clean but not detailed cleaned. Clean enough to be placed on the lot for sale. My wife pointed out several areas where the car was still dirty. I pointed out the stickers on the car, and told the salesman,”what is with the price and promo stickers, you did not think I was coming back with the check?” He quickly pulled the stickers off of the car. I am 65 year old black man, and bought many, many cars in my lifetime, and received them detailed to drive off the car lot. This car was not detailed or ready for me to pick up! I took photos of the roof of the car that evening in my garage, and sent to them for proof! I honestly think they thought this old black man could not come up with a check for $30,000 to purchase the car, and why waste the time and money on the vehicle if it was just going on the lot.

Anyway, this leads up to the next issue I had with Auto Nation. They told me they applied the Appearance Protection Coverage. On a semi-clean car, I don't think so. I asked about the details of the Appearance Protection Coverage, such as what type of application is it, how often to apply it, and so on (The documents I received have a website address, but with no useful information regarding the application process). I left a message with the Auto Nation finance manager, and asked my sales person via phone call the questions I had on the Appearance Protection Coverage. I have NOT receive a call from any one at Auto Nation to answer my questions! I think I will try another Auto Nation for the same Protection Plan, and ask for 10 minutes of there time to answer my questions. Obviously the Auto Nation in Littleton do not know the answers I am looking for, or prefer not to supply some sort of customer service!
So buyer Beware with Auto Nation in Littleton! The car I purchased is great, and it was not, I would have returned it in a promptly! I had more issues with the Dealership than the car!

I emailed [redacted] and asked that he bring the Jeep in whenever it's convenient for him and we would do an alignment I had responded to his earlier request, but he never received the message

The check was mailed out on 7-10-

Good Afternoon,I have reviewed the complaint with our Service Advisor, [redacted] as well as the technician and the Service Director. I found that this is the result of poor communication with our customer throughout the process. The radiator is a part that we had in stock for this vehicle and the repair... was not actually started until 10:00am on March 29th and was completed by 12:30pm the same day. The reason for the delay in beginning the repair was due to a heavy workload in the shop at this time. I have discussed the concern with [redacted] to ensure that this type of poor communication does not happen again and have also discussed the possibility of alternate transportation for the customer when delays occur.I am sincerely sorry that the customer's concern was mishandled during this visit and would like to assure them that the way this visit was handled by [redacted] is not acceptable to me.We strive for a high level of customer satisfaction at very visit, and will use this experience to improve our processes. The customer signed a menu before they went into finance at monthWhen the customer went into finance they bought a year mile warranty and moved the term to months and signed the finance menuThe customer bought the car on 11/06/and we made payoff to the lender on 11/16/If we over paid on the payoff then the lender will send a check to the customer for the difference
