Review: I purchased a GAP insurance with AutoNation Costa Mesa but cancelled it. I went to the dealer because my calls to finance were not being returned was told by [redacted] (finance) that he would cancel it to e-mail my info.. I e-mailed my info and He didn't reply for a whole week he finally sent a cancellation paper for me to sign. which I wasn't given when I went to the dealer I signed and returned and started e-mailing again and no reply.. called no response... I finally threatend to file a complaint and all I got was an e-mail saying... it was processed and will take 8 weeks. I asked for a copy of the cancellation or some kind of document to see where my money is being returned since I want it in my CC where it was charged but mr [redacted] told me he would send it to the bank. but nothing.. I've been e-mailing and calling and no reply. very dissappointed with finance Department. it seems Mr [redacted] does not care about the dealer's customers.Desired Settlement: I want Mr [redacted] or someone from finance to send me information and stop ignoring my e-mails. I need to know where my money is being returned, when the cancellation was filed to calculate when is it going to be 8 weeks (which I think it's a long time since the charge was done the very same day) Thanks [redacted]

Review: My experience with was nothing but headaches and frustrations.

First it took the tech 2-3 days to return my call only after I had bobby from parts my prior tech go speak with him did I receive a return call.

Secondly I purchased my certified presented 2010 accord v6 6 speed manual from Northshore honda in glen cove ny. At the time the cars 3 and 4 gear didn't work and 2 axles were damaged. Honda there " repaired it". Last week I came in because the transmission was not preform inc correctly. I was told by [redacted] then need to remove to inspect it the throw out bearing. There would be a charge of $800 for that unless I can provide proof it was done prior by Honda. I gave him paper work showing it was changed 2 years ago, which means there should be no labor charge for removal. I was informed my transmission was missing a few bolts and a couple were cross threaded, since Honda has only worked on my car how is this my issue? Now after dropping my car off I am being told it needs a fly wheel, pressure plate and clutch, plus labor which equals $2860.00. I have an extended warranty as well as Honda care.

The car has always been service by auto nation even though freeway Honda is closer to my office. Since bobby left service I have dealt with a few people there for my wife and my cars. Each and every time I am being told something needs replacing even though automation replaced the item a few months back.

We are sorry for time issue and most were unavoidable. We had down time due to dealing with the warranty side of the repair. We also had down time due to getting a tool needed to do this job right. First thing that needed to be determined, is this warranty or from an outside influence (misuse). There is alot that was not said in this complaint. Customer contacted Honda after it was explained that we would not warranty the reapir because of misuse. Flywheel was colored blue (high heat) and had heavy wear on it. The clutch pressure plate is scored, blue/dark blue and with chatter looking blue coloring. This is abnormal for these cars except with severe driving (hard clutch work such as "dumping the clutch" from a stop). We explained our findings to Honda and let them decide if they wanted to help. this created a little time delay also. in the end it was going to be the customers responseability. We have retained the parts so that if need be we can prove our point of misuse.We feel the customer is lashing out because he did not get what he wanted which was all new parts at no cost.
