Mr [redacted]'s cancellation was granted as soon as he properly followed the cancellation procedures. His pro-rated refund check has already been issued. As stated in our previous response, his refund check was returned back to us from the USPS as Mr [redacted] failed to update his information with us. I have attached a copy of the USPS returned check. You can clearly see that we issued the check and it was returned because of Mr [redacted]'s failure to keep his information up to date. This check has already been re-sent to Mr [redacted]'s new address at [redacted].
Mr. [redacted] called us on 4/1/16 to purchase extended coverage for this 2014 Nissan Sentra. I have attached copy of the USPS tracking confirmation showing that the contract was successfully delivered on 4/20/16 to the address that he provided to us. help on his monthly payments. The representative provided help and gave Mr. [redacted] an extended payment term that would lower his payments. He then called us again on 12/23/16 to notify us that his vehicle was repossessed as he could not afford the payments for it. The representative explained to him the cancellation procedures that are also outlined on page six in his contract which is attached. The cancellation procedures simply state that, "You may cancel this contact at any time by returning it to us." Mr. [redacted] said that he didn't want to do anything and just wanted to make sure he would not have to pay anymore payments. The representative explained number six under the cancellation provisions which states, " Your contract may be cancelled for non-payment of the contract price if you vehicle is declared total loss or repossessed." The representative informed Mr [redacted] that he would place a hold on the automatic payments so no more payments would be drafted per his request. Mr. [redacted] wanted to be assured that doing so would not hurt his credit score. The representative explained to him that this does not affect or show up on your credit report. Therefore, I'm not sure why Mr. [redacted] filed this "complaint" being that all of this has already been explained to him. His policy has already been cancelled due to non-payment, and no more payments are due. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to remove and resolve this matter as I feel that we have already done everything that we can do on our end. Why would this be a complaint? As the customer stated Autoplex stated a refund would be issued and that day their credit card charge was reversed, so they were not charged. Our sales rep performed as he should, to show the benefits of the product to try and save the sale, just like any other...
