In fact the general manager promised to call me back in 15 minutes last week . I'm still waiting for the call ? He Also told an attorney he would call me back the same day ! Still No call. If your looking to purchase a vehicle do yourself a huge favor and avoid this dealership at all cost !!!

Hi ***,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a great review!

I found a truck that I wanted to purchase from these guys so I went in for a test drive. I was given the truck with an empty tank, so I had to turn around for it to be filled up. Upon driving the truck I noticed there were some minor issues such as the oil needed to be changed as it clearly stated on the electronic screen, the drivers side electric locks did not work, there was only one out of four tire sensors, back seat wouldn’t fold up as it should and it was also missing a spare tire. As I said, all of these were minor things, so we had agreed with the salesman that if they fix everything I would still like to purchase the truck. He stated that it would be in the shop that day and they will let me know when it’s ready. Two days later I contact the salesman and he states he was out sick the last two days and will get an update for me in the morning. He gets back to me stating that the truck had been sold. Poor service at its finest. I recommend going elsewhere.

Thank you for your review however we can not guarantee to hold a vehicle for a customer without a deposit. The vehicle had minor items to be repaired and certainly we would've honored fixing them upon you conducting a sale or placing a deposit.

The service started off good. The very date I received the vehicle it cut off on me. I made the salesman aware of the first breakdown. With not much concern the salesman continued to push me and my mom who was on the loan to call the lending bank to close the deal. Two days later the vehicle broke down again, I made the salesmen aware of the breakdown and he told me that the manager said to call the warranty company which was a joke of a warranty. Then continued to push me to have my mom close the deal and said that if she didn’t call the bank that the loan would be denied and the car would have to be returned. At that point I told the salesman that we were not comfortable with calling the lending bank to close a deal on a car that has broke down on me 3 times within a few days of getting the car. So he directs me to call the GM, I told the salesman that I will return the car. I called the GM, he as well was pushing me to call the bank to close the deal and If we didn’t that the bank won’t provide the loan for the car. I made him fully aware of all that occurred with the vehicle and that I would just bring it back and he told me that he would cancel the contract and return my down payment. Then the next day I attended to return the vehicle and it broke down on my yet again while driving with my young children in the backseat. I was then on the 2nd tow at this point and I made the salesman aware of what was going on. The car was towed to the shop for me to see if they could make it driveable enough to return the vehicle. The next day the salesman made a threat to me that if the vehicle wasn’t returned by close of business they would report the car as stolen even though I made him aware of the situation. Later I contacted the GM to make him aware of the status of the vehicle and that I would just have it towed and I asked if they would cover the tow fee, he said no he wouldn’t cover the fee and they’ll take the cost of the tow out of my down payment. The tow fee for the distance was $***. I decided to no longer deal with the salesman because he was of no help and the threat was truly disturbing. That very day of the threat, after speaking with the GM, letting him no the vehicle was in route, the salesman text me again 30 minutes before closing time stating that they will now have to report the car stolen. At the point I simply disregarded that text because I had no more words for him. Moving forward I did what was told of me, which was to return the vehicle in exchange for a cancelled contract and a returned down payment. The next day the salesman text me stating that the lending back approved the loan. That was absolutely illegal and unacceptable because I never called the bank to close the loan or verify any information. On top of the fact that the contract was supposed to be cancelled days before. I never received a contract from Auto’s Direct after giving the signed portion back to the salesman. I was given a contract on December 2nd to take to my mother to sign and return on December 7th because the car was in her name as a gift to me. My mother and I told the salesman and GM that we were not calling the bank and that we’d return the car. Our end of the deal was kept and the GM COMPLETELY dishonored his word of a cancelled contract and return of down payment.

I purchase the vehicle from Autos Direct of *** when I purchased it the traction light was on. A sales rep by the name of Edward advised me that the light will go off later driving the car that was clunking and the car was basically falling apart underneath. Dean advised that under warranty I would be covered through another company when I called the company they said they couldn't find any of the information so then advised for us to come up there and they will take care of the car and other repairs that needed to be repaired at that point in time. When I went up there to get my car repaired the one of the service technicians advised us that the car shouldn't have been sold in the first place because it was very wrong off the side of the road and it was falling apart basically it was very dangerous for us to drive and the service technician advised us that the car if the traction light did not reset because he reset the traction light and it should go off within 24 hours and it still did not go off I contacted the sales rep at work and at work advised that for us to bring it in but when we set appointment they said that they couldn't find time to bring us in so for about two to three weeks I was finally able for them to set up appointment but they contact me today before the appointment telling me that I have to pay for the repairs to be made on a car and then got mad at saying that he was going to get off the phone with me because he was just telling me that basically there's nothing he can do about it but I've been coming out there since I purchased the car I purchased the car about 2 months ago and I've been making my payments I don't have a problem with making my payments on the car but I just wanted everything to be fixed that they promised that they were going to fix

Ms. purchased the vehicle 2 months ago. She did bring the vehicle once and 2 tires on the vehicle were replaced, alignment done and check engine light was checked at that time. These were items not promised to the customer but we honored to do all this for her. Customer does have a warranty. The warranty company pulled her information when she called on October 23 2019 at 4:20pm. A claim has been placed with the warranty company. Shall she have any further questions, she’s welcome to call me at the dealer.Sincerely,Sophie S

I put $***.00 down on a vehicle, through Gary Conroy, This was to hold the vehicle until we could travel to Va from Pa. I needed to have the money refunded, which I was told was to be no problem. Gary told me no problem just a 72 hour wait. That was fine, but 6 WORKING days later, after several phone calls, being passed around from person to person, put on hold, talked to the accounting dept and they told me it would take even longer to get it back, that was 2 days ago, no return call to me to explain anything, no reassurance that anyone is even working on my refund. So I filed fraud charges with my bank which they were very happy to do. Warning to al, this place is NOT what it seems to be in their website. As a side note, right after giving the deposit, my credit card was hit for 2300.00, odd coincidence maybe, but 900 to an auto parts store in Florida makes me wonder. These people are evasive, unfriendly and completely u helpful. I read earlier reviews and brushes them off, my mistake. I hope this warning helps at least someone else from getting involved with this company. It was not an isolated incident with one employee, I spoke to several people over a period of 3 days and they all avoided helping me and were very vague. They all rushed me off of the phone and the last time I called I was sent to accounting again, only to get the answering machine. Again, no return call or concern for what I needed.

To Whom It May Concern:The information to refund the customer was brought to my attention on Monday. (6/24/19). It takes about 48 hours for me to work on refunds. I did issue a refund this morning (June 26 2019). Customer can contact her bank by tomorrow and they should be able to see the refund processing. I do apologize for this taking longer then usual. Credit card information are kept in a secure place therefore the charges made in other states as mentioned were not done by us or anyone here. Am sure your bank will find out who made those charges and you’ll definitely know it has nothing to do with us. Good luckSincerely,Sophie S

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am taking this action because although my refund was promised, this is now days later(Friday) and I still have NOT recieved the $***. refund. My bank has nothing pending, I have no confidence that AutosDirect is interested in resolving this problem, regardless of their response.

I bought a *** from this dealer in March 2018. I asked for the *** and it was clean, no issues. Just last week I went to a different dealer to trade it in and they pulled the *** and it turns out it has Structural damage that I was not told about. I would like my pay off that is remaining returned to me and for them to take that car back. I would never buy a car with structural damage

Autos Direct of Fredericksburg Response • May 20, 2019

Upon customer purchasing the vehicle, *** didn’t report structural damage as customer states also. We are not liable when and if *** even reported differently at a later time. I do apologize but we can not honor customers request. He’s had the vehicle for more then one year now and has had no issues with the vehicle. We sold a perfectly reliable vehicle with a clean *** Customer does have the option of trading the vehicle. We have over 250 vehicles in our inventory for him to choose. He’s welcome to call me anytime.Shall there be any further questions, please contact me at ***.Sincerely, Sophie S

I purchased a car from this dealership on In March and 6 days later they told me they need the car back because my application had not been approved. About 3 days later they came to get the car from *** after I told them where the car would be located. We agreed that they would refund me my $*** down payment and my $*** insurance payment since I hadn't had the car for too long and since it says in the contract. After they came to get the car, my calls have been ignored and I haven't received any more messages about my refund.

Autos Direct of Fredericksburg Response • Apr 23, 2019

Customer took possession of the car on March 11 2019 and drove the car to *** while it states in the documents signed by her that she was not allowed to take the car out of state until her loan was done with the bank. The address on all documents is ***, and this is where the car should’ve been kept. The bank couldn’t approve her because some documents were not verifiable. Therefore, we asked customer to return the car back with a full refund. She refused to so we had to get plane tickets for someone to fly into *** and paid another $*** for bringing the vehicle back. There were damages to the vehicle as well as we had to get it detailed and excessive mileage added. Therefore, we will not honor any refund to the customer. Again, she had a choice to return vehicle back and also in same condition as sold to her for full refund.I apologize but the transaction on this has cost us far more then what she gave us. But we’ll waive all additional fees upon her. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me. Sincerely,Sophie S

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I reject because once a contract is signed between me, the business, and a finance company, there is no reason that I should not be able to drive the car which has now been signed over to me under the circumstances that I make my payments which I did not have the chance to do. There was no damage to the car. There was mileage added due to me driving to *** but nothing too outstanding. The dealer asked me to come back to *** the same day I arrived to *** which was a day after my aunt passed and I made it know to them due to my circumstances I couldn't immediately bring them the car. They were more than like to come get it which a few days later they agreed to. They also agreed to give me a refund as Long as their car was returned. They sent some "manager" I never seen or talked to named Marlowe to come get the car... I used my home address in *** as I do for everything in . Because that is my home, due to life I Came to *** and with them coming to get the car I had to make some change of plans which resulted in me having to stay longer. I did everything I could to be compliant and give them the car back. I paid for a full month of insurance and only had the car a week. I put down *** to only have to car one week. Under no circumstances should this business be able to hold me accountable for anything unless the car was no longer drible or I was not compliant. He drove the car from *** to *** and when he spoke to me he didn't mention that anything was wrong with the car
Regards

I purchased a car two weeks ago , I went through them for financing got the loan and all the papers signed and provided proof of income and they said I was good to go. I did not have to put anything down but the bank would be calling me and the manager said to lie to the financial company and say a payment of *** was made which it was not. I received a call today to come sign a paper for my tags to be transferred, but when I got there they told me I was never approved for the loan and I had to turn the car back in which I found odd because you should not be able to drive off a lot without approval. I had a second key made to unlock a security feature on the car I paid out of pocket, I hand just filled it up with gas and the manager told me that it’s not his problem and that he was going to charge me *** per mile I drove the car while I had it but I drove it because it was a car I was purchasing. I had the loan details , the amount of the car note and everything for someone who was not approved. My car I traded in they gave back to me not how it was when I gave it to them , seat covers gone, smell of oil inside the car, speaker wires were cut, and it was on E which he said he return my car to me as it was the day I traded it in, I have no registration to prove my car is mine now because they did something with the registration, and the man told me he did not care if I got pulled over without proof that it wasn’t his problem. They have asked several people to lie to these financial comapanies that are dealing with them , they are not making people put down payments on cars , they are letting them drive off the lots without having loans approved apparently. I had spoke to the bank a couple days ago and they said they had to verify one more employer and then I was good and would receive a welcome package. But then get a text from the dealer 3/15 to come sign papers for my tags to be transferred. They lied to me and didn’t even have the courtesy to give me heads up.

Autos Direct of Fredericksburg Response • Apr 08, 2019

Am sorry for the miscommunication between the customer and the sales person about the approval of the loan. We get pre-approvals from our banks, however all requirements must be met in order for any bank to issue a final approval. In her case, my understanding was that there was delays in getting paystubs/w2 for jobs held. Normally we do not allow customers driving our cars for 3 weeks as we did in her situation. We were not able to get all requirements as needed by the bank so the bank declined the loan. It is unfortunate this happened however in return we did not charge anything for customer having our car for 3 weeks, adding mileage, re-conditioning of the vehicle, etc… The trade was given back to the customer in better condition then it was brought to the store. It was fully detailed and cleaned. I wish we could’ve done something for the customer but with the credit she has along with limited income, it was impossible to get her approved elsewhere without a huge down payment. Wish customer the best. Sincerely, Sophie S

On Jan 3 2019 I paid $*** for down payment on auto. On Feb 5 the bank called stating I could not be financed, through no fault of my own. I returned car and Dean charged me $***+ which I did not sign a bailment agreement for any amount to be taken from my deposit.I was given a check for $***+ and I want the balance of $*** returned.

Autos Direct of Fredericksburg Response • Mar 13, 2019

Mr. and Mrs. purchased a *** with a down payment of $***. The financing didn’t go through due to customer quitting his job in the middle of the bank verifications. Since it was customers fault for quitting his job, he was not entitled to any of the down payment as he signed documents agreeing to this. However, our manager wanted to refund customer back most of the down payment and only retain the money for mileage accrued, depreciation and recondition of the vehicle. Customer agreed with this and accepted a check in the amount of $*** on Feb 5.2019.Shall he need anything further, he can contact me directly.Thank you and I wish all the best for the ***.Sincerely,Sophie S

On their website and on vehicle advertisement; they state everybody gets approved, "***% Credit Approval." I went in and spoke with salesperson, Joe. I negotiated over a pickup that was advertised and liked. When there, the truck did not start, Joe said it probably needed a jump start and then directed me to other pickup trucks that they had, of course costing a bit more than the advertised one. After negotiating a price of the 2nd vehicle I went in to fill out paperwork. Was told credit to be ran once and then copied and sent to shop around with other finance companies. I was told the finance companies were not responding because some were closing (it was 7pm eastern time when we came). Was told I was going to be contacted the next day about the terms of financing. Waited the next day for a call, after 3pm I called to see what's going on. Was given a sorry excuse and why I couldn't be financed. I checked my credit and realized they did 4 hard pulls on my credit.

Autos Direct of Fredericksburg Response • Feb 19, 2019

First, I would like to apologize to Mr. about this entire situation. When he arrived to the dealer, the vehicle he was interested in didn't start, therefore we wouldn't put a customer in a vehicle that has issues. That is the reason the salesperson showed him other similar vehicles. The price on the vehicles might have been higher because of the year, mileage and other factors that affects prices. Our intention was not to lure him in a vehicle offered at a lower price then show him higher priced vehicles. It was an unusual situation that the vehicle wouldn't start. He was shown other vehicles if he would be interested, we wouldn't push customers to higher priced vehicles. We are here to sell all our vehicles, doesn't matter low or high. I do see an approval in our system for this customer, perhaps a higher down payment was required and customer couldn't come up with. He then probably assumed he was denied credit. Our advertisement is correct, we do approve all credits but may have stipulations that customer must meet. Inquiries on credit report shouldn't affect credit history. Approvals are based on credit history. In any case, customer is welcome to call me directly to see how we can help him. I can be reached by email *** or at ***. (ask for Sophie). I would love to bring him in and we will do our best in getting him in a vehicle. Shall you have any further questions, please let me know. Sincerely,

Sophie S.
