AutoSense Auto Exchange Reviews (21)

Review: I purchased a 2004 used Honda Odyssey on March 9, 2014, and the dealership fixed minor issues before taking the van home. I did everything I had to do before getting the van, and that included full coverage insurance, per the owners request. Everything on the van was fixed and ready to take home on 03/16/2014, so I went to pick-up the van. When I was halfway home that Tuesday 03/18/2014, from picking up the van, it started leaking large amounts of oil. I took it back to the dealership that same day, and told them about the Leak. David told me that they were going to fix the issue, and was kind enough to let me take another car so I could drive it home. I went back again on 03/19/2014, and again halfway home in El Dorado Hills, a light came on, and the van is losing power as it is driving. They told me the van was perfect, and I have had more problems with the vehicle in a week, than I should have ever been having. I understand it was AS-IS no warranty, but these issues should not be happening 40 minutes after buying a car. I drive it and smoke comes out, and leaks fluid.Desired Settlement: AT this point, I do not want this car, and I'm willing to pay the restocking fee. I have 5 kids, and this van is not safe to drive with Children in the car. One of my kids has autism, and we bought it for his needs, and now I have to deal with this. This is not fair at all! I was told this van was in perfect condition, and clearly it wasn't.

Response:

On 3-18-14 the 04 Honda Odyssey was delivered to [redacted] thinking I had fixed a power steering problem. My mechanic test drove van for 20 minuets and experienced no problems. I told customer there is a chance problem could reoccur and if so I would fix it. It did occur again and this time it turned out to be a transmission issue. I took it to transmission shop yesterday and they are currently fixing the issue and it should be done Tuesday or Wednesday. Sometimes it takes multiple trips to shop to find actual problem. Fortunately for [redacted] it happened now instead of down the road for he did not purchase an extended warranty. I told him I would fix the transmission and he would not be responsible for any cost of the repair. The vehicle should be ready to pick up Tuesday or Wednesday. Thank you. [redacted]- owner.
