The web site states Springleaf's loan process is fast and easy. Well I applied online on June 19th and I had to call them for a status which took 10 days. It was a waste of my time. They had tons of questions but never asked to send documents. I became so frustrated with the phone tag I told them I was no longer interested. The process could have been less stressful if the agent requested all documents then verified the information. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

SCAM! DO NOT APPLY!

I applied for a loan because Credit Karma told me my chances were high of getting approved and I could consolidate some debt. Like everyone else's complaints, they told me I was instantly approved and then called me saying it was for a lower amount because of my income. I still accepted the offer, and was told I would get my money the next day after submitting ALL my personal info to them. Like an it. Now there is no money in my account, and they are not answeing my calls. Do not fall for this scam of a company! Kal from Minnesota was the person helping me. Who knows where they are really located, but I now realize they are probably stealing identities or up to something bad. Now I have to close my accounts and protect my info, on top of already being stressed over debt! I thought this was an opportunity to rebuild my credit, but now I see they are just taking advantage of those who are already down.

I've also seen several claims of people having to sign their vehicles over as collateral. BEWARE!!!!! I can't believe this has happened. Don't trust recommendations'from just anyone!

My experience with Springleaf financial services is kind of awkward, because I can't understand how they do things. When I applied for a loan with the company I, was asked how much money did I make and I told them. When I got to the office I was rejected because they stated that I did not make enough. Although we had spoke on the phone several times before I went into the office.

The amount of money changed when I got into the office. The lady I spoke to was named Sharea in the mt. zion office. I was not denied credit when I applied with the company. She stated that I didn't have enough earnings to qualify for the loan. When the mail came that evening I, got a letter from them stating that I was denied credit with them. I know the post office is good but, how can a person not qualify for a loan and get the letter the same day in the mail.

Now that credit denial will be on my credit as a inquiry. Although I was not denied credit.

Best experience I have had in a very lone time they took time to find the best loan for me they also lower my monthly deit thanhs to all at springleaf

I guess I should have read the negative reviews posted through the Revdex.com because all reviews have a fact within them. I feel that myself I got mislead into a supposed "approved " loan. I initially applied for $3800 and got an instant "approved' confirmation of $3000. I received a call back from a representative from SpringLeaf financial and they took my info down and continued the process. A day later they leave a message at home saying that they had good news, I call back and then comes the fact that I have to put my car down as collateral, so that I could get my the full $3800 requested, so I agree. I then submit more information than I should to then come and find out I got denied. Also forget getting a call back to tell me that I got denied I had to call in 2 days after submitting paper work. All the representative could say is sorry we have mailed the reasons why the loan was denied. I sincerely feel mislead with the process of his company. I would never recommend this company to anyone, very disappointing and bad experience.

They prey on the elderly. if you want to make automated payments they attempt to take the funds from your account 3 days before your due date. Their reason they said is: "To ensure the funds are available". If you don't get paid until a certain date, and the funds are not there at the time they try to pull the funds, you bank account will be charged an overdraft fee. If you have a specified due date with the One Main to make your payment, but you don't get paid until after your due date. They start harassing phone calls. They lose payments.

I was redirected to the Springleaf site after having a applied for a personal loan with another company. I was advised that Springleaf was a good fit for me and that they would be able to help me get out of debt. After applying online I got a call right away and the rep took all my information incl the loan amount I needed. after a day he called back and advised that I could only be approved for 25% of what I needed. I figured something is better than nothing and agreed. I filled out all the required paperwork and gave them pay stubs and everything. after not hearing from them after a few hrs, I called back and was told that I wasn't approved bc of something on my paystubs that they thought was a 401k loan, which wasn't. After I explained to the rep what it was and that I would provide other stubs to prove it wasn't they "resubmitted" my application. After waiting a few hrs and no call back I called again and was told that I wasn't approved bc of my 401k loan, which I explained AGAIN that didn't have a 401k loan. the rep helping me told me he was going to try again. After waiting over the weekend for what I thought would be a positive answer since I met the income requirements, (i even made more annually than what I said) provided ALL the info they needed and my overall credit wasn't horrible, I called them on Monday morning to get status. I was told that they couldn't give me the loan bc I didn't have enough expendable funds. first this company had the wrong info with the "401k loan" mistake, after I told them about 3 times, but after a week of giving me the back and forth they STILL didn't help me. Not sure why I referred to this company as a good fit, when they obviously don't want to help the hard working people that just need that bit of extra help to consolidate debt. I feel like I completely wasted my time. On top of the fact that this company now has all my personal info, including my bank acct. I def wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. it's not worth getting your hopes up, thinking there is a light at the end of the tunnel, to then be told no...

These people are a deceitful! They claim to be able to give loans to people with bad credit, but that's misleading! I applied for a $2,000 loan and was approved for up to $4,000 with a car title. I told the representative I didn't have a vehicle under my name. The rep then said my wife could co-sign since my credit wasn't high enough. She made it seem that I would have a better chance of securing the loan if our credit scores and INCOME were combined. We went to their office, and after being made to wait a really long time, we were told the only way we could get approved was to use my wife's car title as collateral....basically a title loan. For everyone who knows...title loans are a HUGE rip-off! You borrow $4,000 and end up paying back $11,000...more than twice as much! We were then told that we could apply later when our credit improved...NEWS FLASH: If we already had good credit, we wouldn't need the loan in the first place, imagine that! They claim to "help people with bad credit" but that's clearly not the case as my credit was the reason we were denied. So I guess you have to have "good-bad credit???" These people are like any other typical shady loan sharks. Don't waste your time with them. They lure you in telling you you're approved when you're really not. For a $2,000 loan I was told the payments would be around $95 a month. Had I been approved, I could've and WOULD'VE easily made $300 monthly payments to pay it off faster. I totally had the means and income to afford this loan and the monthly payments, but no, it all comes down to some stupid 3-digit credit score number with these people, though they claim to focus more on your income rather than your credit score. That's clearly not true, or else I would have been approved. If you get any "pre-approval" letters from them in the mail, tear it up. These people are just after your cars and assets.

Their customer service is ridiculously bad. The do not return phone calls. We asked for a payoff letter two week later they had not sent the letter. When we called about it they stated that it was in the notes but a ticket was never created, and they would fax it, they never did. The people over the payoff letters will not even accept incoming calls.

If you have no other choice and need a loan and have to obtain a loan from Springleaf please be aware that the majority of your payment will go to interest instead of the principal. I over pay my payment every month to hurry up and pay off this loan, 55% of my payment went to Interest. This loan was the biggest financial mistake I have ever made, instead of this loan helping me, it's actually hurting me.

One of the worst companies to do business with. Now on week 12 waiting for my car title. When they did send out this week it was sent to an address I have not lived at for over 3 years. Have no idea when I will be receiving the title. This shows how incompetent this company is.

I got a loan for a motorcycle and it has been insured since purchase a few months ago we switched insurance companies and had one main notified about the change. They sent a letter out stating that we were going to be charged for insurance because it is a requirement. After calling them several times I and my spouse spoke with the lady there to straighten out things the lady was very rude and unprofessional but said everything was resolved but yet again I received a letter saying that I am being charged for insurance on my bike which has been covered and they have information on.
