Dear [redacted] ,We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID # [redacted] )We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experienceAt Avant, we pride ourselves in providing excellent service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously.On April 15th, you began an application with Avant via LendingTree As you know, that same day you were sent a welcome email which included information specific to your application with Avant The following day you called Avant to inquire about the terms of our installment loansThe representative answered your questions regarding your loan request and correctly advised you that you had not submitted a final application at that timeAdditionally, our specialist made clear that, in order for us to review your application for credit, you first would have to complete the application process Please also note that, during the course of the conversation, you specifically acknowledged that in order to complete your application you would have to do so at Avant.com Later that day you completed your application and proceeded to sign a loan agreement detailing the terms of your installment loan.On April 16th, one of our originations specialists called you to verify the information you provided on your recently completed application After our specialist identified themselves as an Avant employee, the specialist proceeded to inform you that Avant only needed to verify your place of employment to complete the final verifications process Please be advised that at no point during this conversation or any previous conversation did you indicate or imply that you had not applied for a loan with Avant.On May 31st, 2016, you contacted Avant and claimed that you had not applied for a loan through the Avant PlatformAfter confirming with your bank that you had indeed received funds from Avant, you agreed to schedule a payment for the remaining balance of your loanAt that time, the representative who scheduled the payment mistakenly informed you that your payment would be applied directly to the principal balance of your loan and the remaining interest would be waivedPer your signed loan agreement, all payments are applied first to outstanding fees, if any, then to accrued interest, and finally to principalAccordingly, a remaining balance was left on your account following your attempted payoffOn June 21, 2016, as your account remained open with a balance, your regularly scheduled installment payment was attempted as agreedDue to a stop payment filed with your bank, that payment was subsequently returnedNote that no further attempts to debit the bank account on file have been madeOn that same day, you contacted Avant inquiring about the payment and again claiming that the loan was not yoursAccordingly, on June 22, 2016, an Identity Theft Victim’s Affidavit was provided to you and, as a courtesy, a supervisor contacted you via telephone in order to address your concerns and to provide explicit instructions for filing a fraud claimOn November 29, 2016, you contacted Avant via email stating again that your financial information had been compromised and requesting that your account be closedIn response, on December 14, 2016, a second Identity Theft Victim’s Affidavit with corresponding instructions for filing an identity theft claim with Avant was provided to you via emailPlease note that Avant has not received any of the requested documentation from you and, as such, an investigation into your identity theft claim cannot beginWe apologize for any inconvenience which may have been caused by the misinformation you were providedAs a courtesy, we have waived the remaining balance of your loan, and your loan has been marked as paid in full as of your final payment made on June 2, Additionally, we take claims of identity theft very seriously here at AvantAccordingly, we have sent a third copy of the Identity Theft Victim’s Affidavit, as well as instructions for filing an identity theft claim, to the email address associated with your complaintAgain, please note that the requested documentation must be completed and returned to Avant in order for an investigation into your claim to beginWe trust this explanation resolves this matterAt Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experienceIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted] We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.Sincerely,Avant Compliance Department

Dear [redacted] , We are in receipt of your complaint with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID # [redacted] We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your customer experienceAt Avant, we pride ourselves in providing excellent service to all of our customers and take all feedback seriously.According to our records, on June 3, 2014, you initiated an inquiry for credit and signed an account agreement with Avant Credit of Maryland, LLC (“Avant”), agreeing to the rates and terms of a proposed credit lineOn June 12, 2014, your line of credit was approvedAccordingly, funds were issued to the bank account on file on or about June 13, 2014.On May 17, 2016, a payment was attempted from the bank account on file for the minimum payment due for that month, as defined in the account agreementThis payment returned on May 18, The return code for this payment indicated that insufficient funds were available to satisfy the payment that was attempted.On June 2, 2016, you contacted Avant in an effort to update your bank accountYour bank account was updated during this callIn order to verify the bank account you provided was a personal checking or savings account in your name, Avant advised you that documentation such as a voided check or bank statement was requiredAdditionally, Avant informed you that payments could be scheduled from the updated bank account at that timePlease note, per your account agreement, a late fee will be assessed to your account if the monthly minimum payment due is not made within fifteen (15) days of its payment due dateAs your May 17, payment was not made within this time frame, a late fee was assessed to your account on June 2, On June 3, 2016, your periodic statement for the month of May was sent to you via emailThis statement detailed your account status through May 31, Accordingly, it did not include the fee assessed on June 2, This statement listed the upcoming minimum payment due, effective May 31, 2016, as $On June 15, 2015, you contacted Avant telephonicallyDuring this call, Avant confirmed that the bank account on file had been updatedOnce again, Avant informed you that addition documentation would still be required to verify the updated bank account informationYou provided a bank statement during this call to satisfy this requirementOn June 17, 2016, the minimum payment due was debited from the bank account on file as agreedPlease note, per your credit line agreement, the minimum payment due each billing cycle will equal the interest accrued during the billing cycle, an amortized portion of the cash advance fees, a percentage of the outstanding principal balance as detailed in the agreement, and any late payment fees and returned payment feesAccordingly, the minimum payment debited from your account included the late fee assessed June 2, 2016, making the total minimum payment due, effective June 17, 2016, equal to $1,030.28.Per the ACH authorization you provided in your credit line agreement, you authorized Avant to automatically debit the minimum payment due on each scheduled payment dateAdditionally, you further authorized Avant to initiate separate electronic debits for any applicable late charge or returned payment fee, as detailed in the agreementOn June 18, and June 19, 2016, you contacted Avant via telephone disputing your authorization for the late fee to be included in the minimum payment due for the payment processed on June 17, During these calls, you also requested copies of your monthly statements for the past yearOn June 20, 2016, you contacted Avant via email to dispute the debited amountYou also provided notice that you revoked your ACH authorizationYour account was updated accordinglyThat same day, a written explanation was provided of the assessed fee and calculation of the minimum payment due for June 17, 2016, as defined by your line of credit agreementOn August 19, 2016, in accordance with the “Desired Settlement” as listed in your Revdex.com complaint, copies of the monthly statements that were initially provided via email from June through May were once again sent to the email address on file for your accountPlease note that the minimum payment due as listed in each of these statements may have increased prior to the upcoming monthly payment due date if additional fees were assessed to your accountWe trust this explanation resolves this matterWe are confident we comply with all applicable state and federal rules, laws, and regulationsAt Avant, we go to great lengths to ensure a transparent and customer-focused experienceIf you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Compliance Department directly at [redacted] We appreciate the opportunity to serve youSincerely,Avant Compliance Department
