Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I do appreciate recognizing my certification but believe the significance of certification as a specialist with a State Bar has not been understood. I say this because upon reviewing my  AVVO score after the adjustment I have come to the conclusion there is little or no understanding what kind of experience, reputation and achievements are required to be a specialist, or for that matter, to have ever achieved that status. 
While I was verifying the above I noticed other well respected local attorneys with very low AVVO ratings. I think a "not yet rated" would be more fair and honest until adequate information is gathered. I suspect when a greater amount of attorneys become aware of AVVO's system of rating, AVVO's will face problems they can now avoid.
 
I would ask that no rating be given without adequate information and input from the public as well as other sources. This would reflect a greater amount of integrity in the process."

we do not remove profiles. While we include licensing information, disciplinary records, and any other information that we find online, the most fulsome information about an attorney's background - information that will help drive the Avvo Rating algorithm - comes from the attorney. Claiming an Avvo profile and adding information is free.

the more information available, the better the assessment can be. Avvo bases profiles on state licensing and disciplinary data, and manually adds other information it finds online. Every attorney is going to know best the details of their own background. That’s why we encourage attorneys to claim their profiles and fill them out.
