Axis Auto Group Reviews (48)

We are very regretful that the customer, Ms. [redacted] went to the wrong tire shop and Axis Group is willing to reimburse her $75.00 for the replaced tires that she paid for. Please come to our office so we can issue you a refund for that cost. Thank you.

We have since reached out to our customer, [redacted] and came to a mutual agreement with respect to the warranty which will be honored. There was miscommunication from our side and we are very pleased to say that our customer is satisfied with the purchase of this vehicle.

Review: I went to Axis Group to purchase a car that I had seen online. It was listed as $1,400 dollars. When I went to look at the car it was noisy and the brakes screeched. When I asked the dealer, [redacted], about the brakes, he said that they would fix them if I purchased the car, which they did. The car also had a bad smell to it, which [redacted] reassured me was just because it had been sitting on the lot for too long, and the smell would go away. When I said that I was interested in purchasing the car, there were two fees that were not advertised (a dealer fee, and an inspection fee) that brought the total purchasing price to $2,244.00. He assured me, that while they did not offer safety/emissions, that the car would be guaranteed to pass inspection, and if it did not, then they would fix any problems.

When I brought the car home, I took the car to AAMCO to get it checked out, the mechanic found that the car had a large hole in the gas tank, the front pipe of the exhaust needed repair, and there was oil leaking from the engine. Not only did the dealer give me false information about the car, he sold me a vehicle that was a danger to myself and others on the road. Had any thing caused a spark (from the exhaust) the gas tank could have exploded, which could have been fatal.

The conduct at Axis Group is at the very least unethical, if not bordering on criminal.Desired Settlement: I would like monetary reimbursement for the dealer fees and inspection, which were clearly fraudulent. Totaling $800.00

I would also like monetary reimbursement for any repairs that are necessary to make the vehicle safe for operation. The total on these costs is pending. I will provide receipts for all services required.

Response:

In response to our customer [redacted] Please be advised that on APRIL 28th, 2014 Mr. [redacted] came to AXIS Group to purchase a 2003 Toyota Corolla. He test drove the vehicle and was satisfied . Our sales rep sat down with Mr. [redacted] and disclosed all of our pricing and fees, which is disclosed on our website for each vehicle. Mr. [redacted] agreed to the total price and paid in full and took delivery of the vehicle. He asked us about the brakes as mentioned and we fixed them. As far as a gas tank leak , we at Axis take pride in selling safe, affordable vehicles. The car did have a pre-delivery inspection performed and there were no holes or leaks in the gas tank. We would never deliver an unsafe vehicle. As far as our fees, if you refer to [redacted] our website has a disclosure that states prices do not include tax, motor vehicle charges, pre delivery safety and service inspection fees , doc fees and interest charges. So we feel that all the proper disclosures are visible to the consumer. Thank you for allowing our opportunity to respond to this inquiry.

Review: I took my vehicle to the dealer 3 times for the same issue. My check engine light was on. The sales man said he would take care of it. just bring it back in. I brought the vehicle in and nothing was done. I tok it back again. the mechanic said he replaced the sensors but the light as still on. He told me to drive the car for a while it will go off. nothing I took I back to him and also told him my ac was not working can they check it out. [redacted] the salesman said ok. thery told me I need a ac cmpressor. told me they dont supply them they would go half with me buy the part they would do the labor. long story short they had me bring my truck there 4 times and nothing was done.Desired Settlement: I would like the vehicle repaired, replaced or a refund.

Review: We purchased a vehicle from Axis Auto and was told we would get a title soon after that it "sometimes takes a bit" from NJ. We have made numerous calls and now we cannot drive the vehicle we bought as the time has elapsed for the temporary plates and now I have to take a taxi to work as I cannot register my car. It sits in the driveway. I have to pay for a car that I cannot drive and pay for a taxi to get to work.Desired Settlement: I want the title as promised as soon as they receive this complaint. I do not want to wait one day longer. This is not how you run a business.

It was not positive experience at all. I purchased a 2007 Nissan Maxima on 3/26/15 from Axis Group Biz for 7,800 dollars unfortunately three days later transmission started slipping so I took the car to Nissan. Nissan told me for this vehicle to run safely it would take 12,000 dollars to repair. I called Axis Group Biz to rectify this problem, already saying your stuck its not our problem. Axis Group Biz defrauded motor vehicle commission with false odometer readings and myself saying this car was in good shape using Carfax to knowingly rip off there customers real nice guys. smh I have receipts parts etc why would anyone spend 7,800 on something unsafe now seeing there reviews this is a pattern SHAME ON YOU AXIS GROUP BIZ AKA AXIS MOTORCAR AXIS AUTO LLC many more...get more rip off report...

Review: I purchased a car from this dealershipin in full paid for the fees and when they gave me the tittle for my car it wasn't in my name I called them and told them about the issue and they told me I have to go to [redacted] to get it changed. I sold the car I purchased from them and my new car got towed because of expired plates couldn't get renewed because of there mistakes now I have to pay towing fees and 34 dollars each day for the days its thereDesired Settlement: Getting reimbursement for the money I had to spend because of them

Response:

Unfortunately, this complaint seems to be deliberately misleading. The client did in fact purchase a vehicle and paid cash for the car. The only "fee" they were charged is the normal "DOC" fee and ** State sales tax. The client was in fact, issued a title with their name on the document. Apparently, the additional fees they claim they should not have to pay were the normal fees levied by [redacted] when registering a vehicle. There were no [redacted] fees collect from the client at the time of the sale since they were to register the car themselves. They were also issued the standard temporary plate, giving them sufficient time to register their car. Also note: the client states they paid 85.00 to have the "title switched". A review of [redacted] fees will show that the amount to have a title "switched" or to issue a new title is NOT 85.00 and this cost was most likely the cost to register the vehicle itself. Conclusion: The client was issued a proper title with their name in the correct place on the document. The client apparently tried to sell the vehicle to a third party, possibly attempting to bypass registering the car in their name first. The client was only charged a DOC fee and ** State sales tax here at the dealership and had full knowledge that it was their responsibility to register the vehicle. No DMV fees were collected by this dealership on the clients behalf. Lastly, any towing fees related to the client exceeding the duration of their temporary plate is purely negligence on the clients part, possibly attempting to bypass the normal registration process before selling the vehicle to a third party and is not the fault or responsibility of this dealership. . Any subsequent purchase, after the vehicle this dealership sold the client, is in no way our responsibility.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I did not register the car I had the tittle "switched " it shouldnt have had to be "switched" because it should of been in my name in the first place

As we explained in our lengthly response to the original complaint, the title was placed in the customers name which was on the purchase order. We titled the car correctly and according to the purchaser.Thank you.

Review: While looking online on [redacted].com, I came across a vehicle that was for sale. After contacting the sales department at Axis Auto group, they stated the car was still for sale, and inquired when would I like to see it. After answering all my questions, I set up a time for the following day and gave the salesman my Debit card information for a refundable $500 deposit in order to hold the car for 24hrs so they would not sell it. The time of this call was at 12:03 pm. Before we hung up, the salesman and I agreed on the "out the door" price as well as payment terms that were acceptable. Following that phone call, I had taken the amount of cash to purchase the vehicle out of an ATM for my drive the following morning (4 hr drive from my home to Axis Auto Group). Around 7:30pm that same evening, I received a call from the salesman at Axis Auto notifying me that the car had been sold to someone else who came in off the street. After requesting to speak to a manager, he called me back and explained that the car had been sold around 7pm to a gentleman that had looked at it earlier in the day. The manager stated that even though I had issued my card for the deposit per their store policy, I was not a guaranteed sale and the gentleman that purchased the car was ready to buy now. As of 8pm, the Car was still listed on Axis Auto Group's website, as well as [redacted].com.Desired Settlement: I want Axis Auto to adhere to their policy's for deposit's on a vehicle. I have been searching for this type of vehicle for some time, and when I, as the consumer, did all in my power to purchase this vehicle as directed by Axis Auto Group. I do not think that they can return the vehicle from the other party that had purchased it, but to find me a like vehicle with similar miles/features that I had been told would not be sold until I had a chance to look at it.

Response:

While we try to accommodate every client where taking deposits are concerned, from time to time, there will be an overlap in communication between sales personnel and that is apparently what happened in this particular case. While the sales representative who took the original call did everything he could to be certain there was no other deposit on the vehicle in question, there had been an individual who had already expressed their desire to purchase this vehicle and the process had begun about the same time the call was taken from out of state. We have two locations which can sometimes make for a slight overlap in information. In this case, although the deposit information was taken over the phone, when it was passed along to the second location to hold the vehicle, the salesman actually selling the car (key in hand) had not yet interacted with his manager, thus the overlap in information. Key points to consider: this client's credit card information was never run. This was the result of the manager realizing that the vehicle in question was being test driven by a client presently in the show room. Since the client was physically test driving the vehicle when the deposit information was sent over, a deposit would not be run until that individual had the opportunity to either walk away from the vehicle or agree to purchase it. This was the case. Second point: the client who wanted to leave the deposit was called and told the vehicle was sold PRIOR to beginning to travel to the dealership thereby preventing him from incurring any travel expense or expenditure of time. While we completely understand the clients frustration in not having the vehicle available, this is, from time to time, the case where a pre-owned vehicle is concerned since they are almost always one-of-a-kind vehicles. Third point: the client had not actually test driven or seen the car in person. This is very relevant since clients, who leave deposits, often ask for their deposit to be refunded if the car, once seen and driven, does not meet their expectations. This could have been the case here and the possibility that the client could have driven several hours to "see" the vehicle and yet declined to purchase it is always a possibility. In summary, while we understand that the client feels somehow slighted by the vehicle not being available for them, everything that transpired was according to policy. Everyone made every effort to see if the vehicle was available when the inbound call came in requesting to leave a deposit. NOTE: the client had communicated more than once before calling to leave the deposit but was hesitant at first. Once it was realized that the vehicle was not available, the client's credit card was never run and no funds were taken from the client. Lastly, the client was contacted prior to traveling, sparing the client from any inconvenience of traveling only to find the vehicle sold. We strongly believe that this less than ideal situation was handles in the most professional way possible as to not inconvenience the client and we respectfully regret any inconvenience the client may feel was incurred.
