#SavedTheDay It was Sunday night. I had just finished getting our toddler out of the bath. My husband went to use the toilet and it backed up. But then, the bathtub started leaking from under the bathtub and the contents of the toilet and the 2 toilets from upstairs came up into our bathtub. The fetid water flooded 2 bedrooms, closets, the HVAC closet and our kitchen. It was an absolute nightmare.

I called 2-10 warranty and they assigned Mike *** who runs the Ayates Plumbing & Mechanical, LLC. He snaked out the catch? I think it's called and found someone's old t-shirt had been flushed down a toilet upstairs. We have college student renters who share the house with us. He and his sons (family business) got all the sinks and toilets up and running in no time, but there was still this bizarre business of the bathtub flooding from underneath. He explained that whoever had installed or repaired it before we bought the house has used flexible plastic pipe rather than plumbing it correctly. He said to be able to fix it correctly, the whole tub would have to be removed and the plumbing underneath corrected. I called and talked with 2-10 again. They said because we have supreme level coverage, they should be able to authorize a call back so Mike and sons can come out and make sure the tub doesn't ever leak again. So very happy to have our bathroom back.
