Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The item I submitted was a [redacted] *** Please see attachments It is true that BBOS did finally correspond with me regarding this incident, but I don't understand the confusion between them and UPS, or why they are stating that the "item does not match"

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The handbag and the zipper were in perfect working condition before it was returned obviously used by the staff at Bag, Borrow Steal (BBS) Company I was informed via e-mail simply that the handbag wasn't being purchased without citing a reason for the decision I was informed of the handbag's condition( after the handbag had been in the custody of BBS for more than a week) after I called to inquire why my handbag had not been returned which was in excess of ten (10) days after being formed of BBS intentnot to purchase.An explanation was not been provided in the e-mail notice of intent not to purchase and why the straps were attached to a handbag in which the strap was "zipped" inside of the handbag If the zipper was broken upon arrival, how did you get the strap gain access to the strap which was stored inside of the handbag? And if the zipper wasbroken upon arrival, why would you attach the strap to a damaged handbag?It is obvious the handbag was carried and damaged by Bag, Borrow Steal It is unfortunate that a company, promoting its relationship with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) would operate in complete disregard of what this organization represents, fair and ethical business practices If you are unable to correct this crisis in ethical businesspractices, the stamp of membership in the Revdex.com simply taints the brand and discounts this as merely a business ploy to cloak unethical business practices; or maybe it just emphasizes the “steal” in your name.Sincerely, [redacted]

We did receive an order from the complainant to borrow an item from our rental siteWe manually process orders through our Customer Financial Service DepartmentPer our Terms and Conditions, borrow items are subject to a credit checkThe
complainant did not pass the conditions to borrow itemsWe cancelled the order and did not charge her credit card
The credit card is authorized for any applicable charges (rental fee, insurance, shipping & handling, and tax) when you make a borrow or purchase requestThis is not a sales transaction, it is simply an authorization to ensure that funds are available and that its a valid accountWhen the merchandise ships, the authorization then posts as a chargeIf by chance your order is cancelled, it can take 2-business days for the funds to release back to your account.Some financial institutes may take longerYou will want to contact them if your funds are not released within that time

On December 9th we experienced an error on our site that placed the incorrect price on certain itemsUnfortunately, this error affected this customer’s order and it was not discovered until the item was being prepared for shipmentWhile the amount was debited from the customer’s card, Bag
Borrow or Steal did not hold these funds for four daysOnce the error was discovered we canceled the order and refunded the amount back to the customer on the same dayPer our payment processor the amount was returned to the customer by 7:PM CST on Friday, December 9th 2016. As for the shipment notice and tracking number, it is our standard procedure to generate tracking numbers when preparing items for shipmentOnce the error was discovered, the order was canceled the package was never delivered to UPS and never left of our warehousePer our terms and conditions, the every customer accepts during the order process, we state:“Bag Borrow or Steal reserves the right to cancel any order at any time prior to delivery to the customerIn the event an order is canceled, the funds authorized or charged are released by Bag Borrow or Steal and are then subject to the rules of your financial institution, in determining the time that you will have the funds back.”In addition, once we cancelled the order, we added $in account credit for the customerWe also offered the handbag at the price it should have been on December 9th of $We feel this is the just price for a luxury handbag in pre-loved condition

Concerning assisting our customer in this situationOur customer borrowed an item from our Borrow section and did indeed return the item with permanent damageOur customer did also pay for the replacement value of said itemUpon receiving
full payment, we shipped the damaged item back to the customerPer our Terms and Agreements, the customer is fully responsible to update and verify that their billing and shipping information on their account is correct at all timesWe shipped the item back to the customer via UPS to the only address we have ever had on file for the customerUPS delivered the item to the address providedUPS will not investigate a package that has been correctly delivered to the address requestedWe did however have UPS try to pick the item up at said address on separate occasions with out successWe have done our do diligence and understand the customers issue and disappointmentHowever, again per our Terms and Conditions, we shipped the item to the only address we had on fileWe will not be liable for the cost of the item

Dear Customer, As we had responded previously: In this case, when we received the item in person, it was noticed that the overall condition and wear no longer met our condition standardsIt was not in regards to any refurbishment that may had been done to the item in the past, but the current overall condition including the exterior & interiorThanksBBOS

The complainant placed an order for an item on 12/08/Once order was shipped, we became aware that there was an error on our site and the item shown in the image was not correctWe had the item returned to us before it was delivered
to the customerWe then issued a full refund back to the customers credit cardAs a courtesy for any disappointment, we also added a $store credit to be used on any further transactionNo further compensation will be given in this matterThe customer is absolutely welcome to use our services in the future

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: this is the same generic scripted complaint that was given to me as I explained final sale or not the damage on the bag is bigger than pictured and there is additional damage that was not pictured the bag in the link is closed I received the bag flat and the damage is clearly bigger  you don't want to accept responsibility but it's definitely different then pictured

We are still investigating with UPS.  UPS initially closed their investigation without a resolution, but has since re-opened it.  Admittedly, we did a poor job communicating this with the customer.   Once UPS finishes the investigation, we will work with the customer to resolve...

the issue.  Our policy for consignment items that are lost in transit is to pay the customer the consignment percentage (70%) of the average of the last few recorded sales we have for the item submitted since there is no agreed upon price upon submission.  What is important about the claim from this customer is that the images provided for this consignment item from the customer do not match the receipt she is looking to get compensated for.
