was sold this car on 1/When the salesman was going over the car, I was told it had features that it did not actually haveI was also advise of only one mechanical issue & that was a "minor whine when starting the car"After I signed the contract, I was informed of another issue that was not disclosed prior to the saleThat issue was an oil leak in the engineI would say that's a pretty big issue that should have been disclosedThis company was not willing to fix it and assured me that "it was nothing, don't worry"At this point I lost all trust in the dealership & wanted my car backI was advised that was not possible & I was stuck with the carTo make a long story short, after I returned to my home state, I discovered the oil leak it much more severeI can't even turn my heater on because the smell of oil burning on the engine it overwhelmingThe "small whine" is actual a pretty major power steering issue that will cost quite a bit of money to fixThere's also an issue with the heaterWhen you turn it onit whine & rattlesIt would cost an estimated $to get this car to equal the car I thought I was buying (pertaining to fixtures that were advised - which is not accounting for fixing the navigation that does not work or adding heated seats that don't existAll of which was not told to me prior to sighing the contract)and making sure there are no mechanical issuesAt this point I'm over the features that I was lied to aboutI'm in the process of trying to trade it in or sell it because it's not safeI don't want nor can I afford to put that much money into repairsWhat I do want is for the dealership to pay for the repairs on this car at a *** *** service dealershipI want the oil leak fixed, the heater fixed & the issue behind the whine fixedI will accept nothing less! I was not told of the severity of these issues

If I would have wrote this review as soon as I walked out, I would have gave it starsThe next day, I went on their site because I was going to buy another car from themI bought a Camary with miles on itWhile searching I see another Camary with miles on it for $less, which I had no clue they even hadI was showed cars, a 14k car then right to 22kWhen I called about it the salesman Scott told me it was due to damage on back bumper and seat colorThe post said nothing about the damage and said it was being fixedLet’s say that's true that’s going to bring it down $& even if so why not offer it to memin after I complained the price of that car jumped $The following day I spoke to Ryan Hunter and he said that vehicle is not even for sale (it was still on site), when I mentioned it was still on site he said "that's how things are done”I guess I’ll have to chalk it up to be fast talked by a couple of used car salesmanWhat I will not take fault for; We were sitting with Scott and Ryan comes with “I got great news, you even got an extended warranty”The following day I noticed we were charged $for itI called Scott, he verified Ryan said that but said he wasn’t sure what was said behind closed doorsWhen I talked to Ryan he denied even saying that, and said "I do this for a living" I bet you do, how many other people you gotSo these fast talking used car salesman over charged me $BUYER BEWARE when dealing with this dealership and RYAN ***

Hi my name is *** and I’ve purchased a Jeep grand Cherokee from basil and it’s been in the shop times since December 7th up until now actually it’s currently in the shop now but this time I been with out my car since jul 9th is almost going on two months I’m in a rental that I’m pretty sure I have to come out of pocket for and still pay my car note and insurance and they were asking me to pitch in a dollars for the repair but I thought when purchasing my car I got a year Warranty that covered my engine and Transmission ......FEEL LIKE I WAS SOLD A LEMON ???????

On 11/29, I negotiated a deal on a vehicle but could not come to terms on the financingI left a $deposit on the vehicle to allow the dealership or myself to find a better rateOn 11/30, I received a better rate from a different dealership, so I notified Basil that the deal we negotiated would not be fundedI contacted Basil on 12/3, 12/and 12/for a refund of the $The cashier stated that she is unable to release the funds without management approval and the management staff will not return my calls

Poor customer service, misleading sales associates and irresponsible management I've been purchasing cars for years from various dealerships in the area and have had many good experiences outside of Basil Toyota They are fine as long as you fork over money, but if you have any concerns or issues, you are on your ownI love Toyota vehicles, but my experience with them has been so bad that I stop driving them all together I don't often post reviews like this so understand that this was so bad that I took time out of my busy schedule just to make others aware and hopefully avoid a similar experience

Me and my husband purchased Toyota Tundra from this dealership and bought extra warranty with an agreement if we don't file any claim within months then we will receive the full refund of the purchase extra warranty price We submitted the paperwork for the refund but was told by the personnel at Basil Toyota that the company that they purchased the extra warranty from was out of business but the new company that took over and currently working with Basil Toyota will honor our claim and we should receive the refund from 5-weeks (we should expect to receive the funds the first week of July 2016) We waited patiently but no refund, I called and emailed several times but no response We stopped by in August to check on the status was told that they lost our file, so personnel at Basil Toyota had to make another copy (I had the original with me) and fax the claim again He told us that we should hear from him (the claim handler at Basil) in a few weeks, I called and talked t

I had one of the worst experiences at this dealership The finance manager Mike, was rude and was less than professional with his appraisal and approachI was looking to buy a new van almost $40,and ready to write a deal Mike's insulting offer without a true appraisal made up my mind I would rather spend my 40K with a different dealership I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone

Mr*** vehicle was operating correctly with no issuesThey believed there were electrical issues and the problems could not be duplicated when they brought it in for serviceWe offered them a loaner car while it was being evaluated and they refused because the loaner car we offered
wasn't to their likingWe rented them a bigger vehicle from enterprise to accommodate themNYS Lemon law provides them protection if they have a reoccurring issue, but at this time there is no problem with their vehicleThey were refunded $for the sunroof they didn't have installed within days of notifying us that they weren't going to have it installed

Bank dictates what vehicle and what the customer is eligible for with money down.  There was a mix up between which Honda the customer wanted.  After we figured out which vehicle she wanted we then proceeded to do the deal with the bank.  That is where the bank need additional money down on the accord in order to complete the deal.  Customer did not see this a option, so we nicely asked her if she would like her deposit back that way should could go to another dealership to get a vehicle.  Her father was with her and they both insisted on wanting to stay with us and purchase the Accord.  We told both of them what she needed down in order to go with what the approval that the lender requested.  They both agreed to the additional money down and proceeded with the deal.  We felt bad about the mix up so we decided to give the customer a 2 year 24,0000 mile addition service contract $1641.00 VALUE at no charge to her for her inconvenience.  There will be no Billing adjustment or any way to lower any monthly payments along with any refunding any down payment.   ThanksRyan [redacted]Basil Toyota

Attached are copies of proof that Ms. [redacted] was refunded her credit card purchase via check due to the fact that she would not give us her credit card information over the phone or drive in with the card from her home in [redacted] so we could refund the $500.00. So out of a courtesy,...

against our normal business policy, refunded her the money via ck#[redacted]. The customer has cashed the said check on 7/29/15 and it cleared our account on 07/30/2015. Attached you will find the cleared check copy, our bank statement showing the check was cashed and the original receipts showing the customer signing for the purchase. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Basil Toyota swiped my card and toldme I will not be getting the [redacted]! They said it was a mix up and offered me the [redacted]. Mind you they never showed me the [redacted] until that situation the [redacted] wasn't in the picture before as they stated they showed me all the cars they bank offer they did not mention that what so ever! Then Ryan said you either take the deal or not he was not professional what so ever it was ver much miscommunication, lack of work. He didn't really give me an option it was Either take the car or go home with nothing and I came with intention of getting a car. Then asked me if I put this on social media they will not sell me the car and my father is my witness and everyone that was their included clients. They are trying to cover up the lies And horrible customer service as you know they have many complaints on their behalf. I want the car for the original price why should I have to pay more down and raise my monthly pay for a mistake they did I shouldn't have to  accommodate them they said do it for me . Wth my $295 a month at least !!!! They can have the two year warranty I want was first given to me . This is very unfair !

I do not agree. We as the purchasers were trusting the finance department to get the right payoff figure so we could decide if we could go ahead with the purchase or not. We are not finance people and don't know how their process works. I told them that we had deferred two payments and right out asked if that was included in the payoff and he said everything was included. It was very disheartening to find out only after everything was said and done that they never intended for those payments to be included. We trusted him to get the right payoff figure only to be told after the fact that they don't obtain payoffs. They basically estimate how much you owe by figuring how many months are left on your lease. That doesn't sound very professional to me. We are not the finance professionals - they are. If they had used the correct payoff figure and told us that they would not pay all of it we would not have bought the new vehicle. My point is we should have been told this up front so we could then make an informed decision but we did not have all the information. And now he is out and out lying by saying that he never said that all was included.
