Review: I purchased a vehicle on 11/**/2013 under the pretense that the dealership would handle all of the registration and title paperwork. after approximately 6 months a representative of the dealership gave me the paperwork and told me that I would have to do it myself. When I went to register the vehicle the DMV informed me that the paperwork was insufficient to register the vehicle. According to the DMW the dealership should have gotten the title changed over to them prior to selling me the vehicle, or the should have given me a title reassignment form when they gave me the paperwork. I notified the dealer and went to see him in person and he insisted that I had everything I needed to register the vehicle myself. It is now December 2014 and the vehicle still cannot be registered. I have been being charged this entire time from the finance company even though they were aware of the problem. I have not been able to drive the car since April of 2014 when I gave the dealership back the expired temp tag.Desired Settlement: I would like to be credited the money paid out during the time the vehicle could not be driven.

Review: Unable to register the car because of title issues from other state. Paperwork is taking over 5 months. The company keeps telling me they are waiting for California to issue title.Desired Settlement: Get paperwork before the end of the month. This transaction is preventing me from leaving the state to move.

Review: My wife and I put a deposit down on a car that the dealership damaged during transit. We decided to go to a different company to purchase our car. The deposit was fully refundable according to our sales person. That was 11 months ago. We are still waiting for our deposit back. We have talked to managers and the original sales person many times, but they are still holding our $500. Each time we called they said: "You should have it already! Here let me just contact our accounts department and you should have that money back in 24-48 hours." For a company that does business in the thousands or millions daily I would think they would not want to ruin their reputation by stealing $500 dollars. They stole $500 dollars, let me just make that explicitly clear. They received a deposit on a car we did not purchase and have yet to refund the money 11 months later. Avoid This Company. If the company feels this review is unfair I welcome their reply. I have all the paperwork to show this claim is accurate.

Additional information as requested:

I was originally working with Lester Jones at Bay Ridge Toyota. We have spoken on the phone numerous times since the first meeting most recently 3 times in September 2013 before this complaint was filed, in order to try and resolve the issue first, and again in September a day or two after the original complaint was made. Each time he said he would send a request to the accounting department, which is the same thing he had tried on several previous occasions over the past 7 months. Either he is not sending the request for a refund, or the accounting department is withholding my money. I informed Lester, via a phone message, that I had made this complaint. He said during the last phone call that he can only send the information to accounting. I requested to speak with someone in accounting and he told me I was not allowed to talk with anyone in accounting.

My credit card information is different than the one they now have on file, so the company needs to send a check directly to me.

Bay Ridge Toyota has failed to refund my money for 11 months now.Desired Settlement: Original deposit plus interest based on inflation and regular credit lending rates.
