I am dealing with them because my home loan was sold to them. The problem that I have is that they have someone else's loan documents loaded on my account. I am able to see the other person's social security numbers, loan information, full names, address, etc. It is everything I would need if I wanted to steal someone's identify. I have called several times about having these documents removed from my account but they are still there visible to me. My concern is who is able to see my documents because they made a clerical error.

I'm trying to refinance my home. I have a second small mortgage loan with Bayview that CHASE transferred to them. It doesn't matter what time of day or night I call the 800 number, the line is busy. I was terrified when I saw the Revdex.com rating for this institution. Revdex.com already helped by having other phone number. But as I try to refinance this is the kind of problems we are encountering with this company:
"Good afternoon, I am having a really hard time obtaining sub requirements, I have been faxing my request for almost a month now with no fax back of the requirements, I have called in a number of times and they tell me they are going to have the info faxed, still don't have it, I called today to ask to speak to a supervisor and was refused , can you have the borrower call XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask that sub requirements be faxed to me at XXX-XXX-XXXX? Sorry for this being so hard to obtain, I have never experienced a bank be this difficult, thanks! "

Very horrible nightmare of a experience! Our loan was sent to Bay view without os knowing by Bank of America, by the time we were able to figure this out we were behind because the person answering the phone would say hold on to your payment until we figure this out, well, after it was " figured out" we were behind and Bayview refused to work with us, we offered a good sum of what was owed but they refused it saying we are now in foreclosure if we do not pay the entire amount, getting passed off to different people who " have no idea what is going on" no sympathy just robotic pitch on " let me explain your options again" as if reading from a script! Then they had my husbands information all wrong, he's in their system as owning a cleaning business, they actually gave my husband this mans information which is illegal, we had finally felt it in our heart that it's not worth working with this company and its better to agree on a short sale or deed and lue, we signed on that and they offered us money to relocate, all papers signed and here we are a year later, receiving letters that because we failed to pay the amount we owe or are behind in we are now going into foreclosure!!! Wow! Foreclosure? We agreed and signed on short sale and when calling day after day they say sorry but we do not know what is going on we will figure it out, but now we're set for foreclosure in about 3 weeks and still no word back, we have all of our proof on papers signed and letters and emails but who is caring? How does this company get away with this? This has been a total nightmare, I'm sure I'm leaving out so much more detail about this incompetent company, I'm certain they either have no idea how to run a business or they run off of scheming people into loosing their homes by making it impossible to work with them.

I called to talk to them about a house a purchased (REO) I was treated awful.
The guy on the phone was rude to me and actually raised his voice with me when I was only inquiring about a question related to the house we bought. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL ! ! !

this is one of the worst companies I have had to deal with to start they acquired my loan back in Nov.2015 I got a letter from them stating that if I didn't provide them with proof of ins they would affix theirs to it When I called my insurance co. bayview had not contacted them about it Then I get a letter wanting payment saying I was behind but since they had just acquired the loan I had 60 days to correct it it,s funny for 23 yrs it has been automatically deducted from my bank account every month. they bought the loan I didn't apply or ask for it that's their responsibly to get from the seller and now they want my social security number so they can report my interest to the govt no other loan company that my loan has been sold to needed it just a terrible terrible experience dealing with bayview

This is by far the worst business that I have ever dealt with. Let me list their failures for you. Please keep in mind that I have only been with this business for 30 days.
1) I was told that I was not yet in their system and that I therefore could not make my monthly payment. However, they would still record the payment as being late.
2) Their insurance department is a separate entity from the rest of their customer service so it would be an additional 30 days for the insurance department to see my loan. So therefore, no insurance payments would be made from my escrow account until that time and I would have a lapse in coverage since they are refusing to pay the insurance company.
3) I spoke to an insurance representative who assured me that he would have it rushed so that the payment would go out. I provided him a second copy of the insurance binder. Received no response and insurance was not paid.
4) I called yet again on the insurance and was told that no payment would be made at all since the name on my account did not match the name on the insurance binder. Also, they had no policy on file so I had my insurance agent resubmit. So now they have submitted twice and I submitted once for a total of 3 times that the insurance was submitted. Was told that this was being escalated to management for payment anyway and that I would hear back in 24 hours. No one called back.
5) contacted customer service to explain the insurance concerns and was told how to update my name on the loan since it was incorrect. submitted all name change information and called back days later to confirm that the change had taken place. Was told that this change would not take place for at least 45 days! Asked for a manager and was refused. I had to insist 3 times before I actually got to speak to one and he was unbelievably rude and not helpful. finally agreed to bring it down to 5 days instead of 45. Was told that someone would contact me to confirm when change was made.
7) called back since I received no contact as promised and was told that the name was changed. Then called insurance department and was told that the policy attached to my file was for another address so that they would not be making the payment. Of course no one was going to call me about the address discrepancy. So I submitted the policy for a 4th time and insisted on waiting on hold until the check was cut. I was instead hung up on.
8) received a phone call from the insurance department that they were "following up" because the policy on my account did not match the address. When I inquired about the resolution the previous day her response was "I was supposed to call you yesterday so if someone else followed up with you then you should be good now" Um, no! I called, no one followed up with me, and please log into my account and confirm because this is scary. "ok I see the updated policy and a check will go out today". I was originally told 24-48 hours so this was in line with what the other gentleman said.
9) attempt to set up ACH and on every screen it says to continue to make make payments until they tell me the start date of the ACH. Confirmation email had no start date so I make my monthly payment to avoid being late again. Receive letter in the mail stating ACH will begin this month!
10) spend 2 hours trying to call customer service and keep getting hung up on when asking for a representative. Use email contact and obviously get no response at all.
11) So I call insurance department. I ask them to confirm the check number as it has now been more than 48 hours. They tell me that checks are only cut on Mondays and Thursdays so it will be cut today and that they still have no proof to provide. Of course no one previous mentioned that. Both said 24-48 hours. Again was promised to receive a call when the check is cut. I'm not holding my breath.
12)Then ask to be transferred to customer service since the phone keeps hanging up on me. Customer service claims that they will not deduct this month's payment again but I am not at all reassured. Was told that they know that the 800 number doesn't ever work!! Seriously?? You know it doesn't work but you don't fix it or have a different number?

Today is exactly 30 days since they took over my loan. I had to pay my insurance out of pocket in order to avoid lapse in coverage. So now they have the money in my escrow account but still have not dispersed the funds. And if they double deduct my June payment I am driving to their headquarters to expect an immediate refund on both items. Way to introduce me to your "business". Looking into refinancing options JUST TO GET RID OF THIS COMPANY!! I am that unhappy that I am willing to pay a hefty refinance fee just to leave them. RUN AWAY and do not ever use this company!

This company takes advantage of people and should be closed. They have ridiculously high mortgage rates 6.79% is absolutely disgusting shut them down.

This is a terrible company. They purchased my mortgage 3 months ago. They do not apply extra mortgage payments, they put them into a separate account to "hold". There is a deferred amount on my statements of $3500, but they cannot tell me what that is for. I pay all my taxes and have submitted the paid bill for this year, yet they still have an escrow balance (negative) and are charging me interest! When I call, no one can tell me what it is all about, there are no notes in my file. I have a credit rating of 725 and am going to refinance somewhere else! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
