Bearicuda Bins

Hello, I ordered one of your Stealth cans a few months back and I just wanted to say how pleased I am with it. It's been tested several times already and living in Colorado are bears can be pretty aggressive! On one attempt, the bear took a small bite where the lid connects to the can and gave up. Thank you for creating such a quality product. Oh, and your customer service is excellent.

I bought a couple of bear bins a number of years ago to cope with the bears tearing up our trash area here in the southern California mountains. Bears have knocked them around many times but today when I got home from church I noticed that one was gone. I couldn't believe someone would have stolen one. Plus it was the full one. I was worried that my identity could be compromised. I looked all around the property but it was gone.
Then I looked across the street. Yep. 200 feet away up a steep mountainside I spied it upside down in the cabin's front yard. I went over and the whole area was torn up. I guess the bear must have had a fun time bouncing it around.
My wife then told me that she heard the bears grunting and growling and knocking things around last night. No biggie since it happens pretty regularly but as you can see from the pictures, he was able to chew or tear part of it but never got to the goodies inside.
Both bear bins have been beaten up pretty regularly over the years but these have with stood lots of prying and beating. While we don't have grizzlies around hear, we do have some good 350-400 pounders who make trash areas a mess. They have destroyed chain link enclosures before.
This time Yogi did get it over a 4 foot cement wall, across the street and up steep stone retaining pile, over boulders and up and onto the neighbors property so it wasn't like he wasn't trying to get it open.
But he didn't.

I purchased two decorative enclosure from Bearicuda one for our primary residence and a second for vacation home. The first one purchased was back in 2012 for our home in [redacted]. I purchased the Aspen, it fits 3 medium sized garbage cans and it not only looks fantastic but is keeping raccoons and squirrels from getting into our trash. I selected the option with pneumatic lid which is a must! What a difference it makes opening and closing the lid, it’s like having power assist.
My complaint on the previous enclosures that we purchased from a local big box store was that they fell apart over time and my other complaint is that aesthetically they looked bad.
The Bearicuda Aspen enclosure design and color fits the coastal setting perfectly. My wife must have called the company a dozen times asking many questions. The owner, Kevin L[redacted], was very patient, answered every question and actually talked us out of a much more expensive option that we were adamant about purchasing, but we decided to go with his recommendation, one that we surely do not regret. Although the money was not a factor in our decision the Aspen saved us around $400 compared to what we were going to select originally. This enclosure really takes a beating by the salt water and it still looks great to my surprise, as everything I purchase slowly rusts or rots away. So be it when you live by the water.
I also purchased one of their Cedar Enclosures, very classy looking product. So far very happy with this product as well. I have not purchased any Bearicuda bear proof garbage cans so can’t really comment pertaining to those products but service, price and product quality was excellent from Bearicuda.
We appreciate Mr. L[redacted] honesty, most companies would have tried to upsell. Also, it was refreshing to speak with a live person that actually answers their phones, and is knowledgeable about general product questions. I like to call a company before I place an order, it gives me more confidence or less confidence depending on what I am about to purchase. Larger ticket items such as these I want to speak to a knowledgeable, live person and have the assurance that if I am not happy I can call that company and get a resolution. I own a home in Lake Tahoe, California, where we have many bears coming through our yard and down our street. I had garbage cans with tight fitting lids and I still
had to pick up garbage if I put it out too early. The bears seem to know what day
garbage day is!!! I finally purchased a Bearicuda bin and haven't had to pick up garbage since. I spend part of the summer in Montana at my son's house and they
have neighbor dogs that scatter garbage. I purchased a Bearicuda bin for my son
and no more problem with scattered garbage.

It's not just for Bears anymore...
We purchased the 20 gallon Bearicuda can to keep our Bloodhound Ruby Jean out of the garbage in the house. Bloodhounds are known for the naughty shinnanagins because they are extremely intelligent and their nose drags the rest of their body around, but even her clever open all skills can NOT get this can open! We did a few modifications to make the can easier access to humans like adding a handle on the top of the lid and a spin free frame around the base. Best money spent to keep our beloved pup safe from eating things she doesn't belong eating! Thank you Bearicuda!

I just wanted to let you know I am very happy with the Stealth cans I bought a few months ago. They work and were put to the test by a very big black bear 10 minutes ago!!! They have tried before but this time I witnessed it. Also your customer service is excellent. I had a little trouble with the locks and you immediately sent me two extras and they are working just fine. Your advice about loosening the nut worked! I recommend you all the time. Thank you!

The Bearicuda Stealth garbage can did safely arrive. I so wish I had a security camera near the garbage. After a week, the darn raccoons got VERY frustrated and were banging around to beat the band! I came out to find the Bearicuda Stealth Garbage Can several feet away and knocked over but closed! They were foiled! I have not seen them back since. YEAH! No more trash all over the yard (mine or my very happy neighbors!!!). Thank you Bearicuda!

Almost a year ago and after a lot of internet research on bear proof containers, I purchased a 96 gallon Bearicuda Stealth II bear proof container through a local waste disposal company. I am not in the waste disposal company’s service area but they sold me a Bearicuda regardless. The waste disposal company selected Bearicuda products to service a portion of one of their city service areas shortly before I purchased my container. This particular city passed an ordinance requiring bear proof containers in certain portions of that city. With all that being said, I encountered an issue with my container. I got on the Bearicuda website over the weekend and left a detailed email. Kevin from Bearicuda Inc. respond promptly Monday morning. The issue was not a warranty item related to Bearicuda, however, Kevin contacted the local waste disposal company and together they resolved the situation beyond my expectations. Amazingly the issue was completely resolved that same Monday. Some of the best customer service I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Remember, I am not a customer of the waste disposal company from which I purchased the Stealth II and it was not a Bearicuda warranty item, yet I sit here typing of the positive experience I encountered with both companies.

We ordered the Stealth model to see if it was as good at keeping out the squirrels as it is at keeping out the bears. Hard to believe but people actually told me that it was more difficult to prevent squirrels than bears. We are very happy to report success. No more trash all over the ground! Our facility looks great and we don't have to waste any more time cleaning up. Well constructed product, and honest, informative service. I'm glad we found you.

Just an update. It is snowing here in WV and to get 8 inches or more. I put my trash can out last night for Friday PU. This AM it was GONE!!!! No sign no tracks but it is snowing heavily now. Called the Sheriff and he said Oh lots of Bear troubles in the county go look for it. My neighbors did and found it down the road up near the woods upside down but unopened. I am so grateful for such a wonderful can!! Charlotte
PS My neighbor uses a bunge chord to secure his can but I think this will change his mind
