At Beauty Labs, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days from...

original order. During the 14 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 14 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 14 days from the date of order, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [redacted]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on [redacted], the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on [redacted] where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product.
The customer placed the order on 9/12/15. This is when they paid the initial $1.99 (discounted through customer service) for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed $47.33 for the 30 day supply on 10/10/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The customer was billed on 11/9/15 for their next 30 day supply for $47.33. To date, the customer has not contacted Beauty Labs with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled on 12/9/15 after the December charge declined. We will be keeping this account closed. We have refunded the amount of $47.33 for the November charge due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, [redacted] or [redacted].  Below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions:

Review: Ordered their product. Paid for the first shipment after trial period ran out. Did not like the results. Called to cancel the order and future shipments. After receiving a second shipment, sent it back. Called again to cancel after receiving a third shipment and was told there is no record of first cancelation. Billing for the current shipment will only be refunded after US verifying the first cancellation. With our phone plan, there is no way to verify this. Seems very convenient that there is "no record" on their end of our previous call. The first person we talked to cancelled the order. We are still getting the product. What do we do when THIS cancellation doesn't happen? How many times do we need to call about or pay for a product we do not want? Seems like a simple enough solution to me... Just refund our money.$87.63Desired Settlement: Give us a R.M.A. We send the product back. Refund the purchase price. Simple as that.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

We DID call to cancel the order. That is the whole problem. We DID call. It is not OUR fault YOU don't have a record of this call.Apparently this company thinks anyone who does like, or continue to receive shipment of their product must be stupid.Yes, we did agree to some terms and conditions. 10 days did seem to be sufficient time to really test this product's usefulness. A call WAS made. Cancellation WAS requested. Product WAS sent back as per instructions from their customer service. Now, since we do not want the product, and no longer even HAVE the product, we should not be responsible for any paymentsfor the product. YOUR customer service personnel instructed us to return the unused portion, which we did. At that time, we requested a refund and asked to cancel any future shipments. Terms or no terms... we followed the instructions from YOUR staff of reps. Now, I am requesting that a refund be made for ALL payments taken. We tried your product. We did not like the results. Send us a RMA , we send back the last shipment, you send the refund. Thank you.

Review: On 9/26/14 I paid online using my Bank of America Master Card for a "one-time special offer" of $4.95 for two 1 oz bottles of facial lotion. The company said try these two products together each for only $4.95 each. I noticed two charges on my November statement of $87.63 each. I called the numbers on my statement, and was put on hold for over 10 minutes. I finally gave up and left a message on both companies vm, Beauty Labs 855-864-2976 and Perfect Age Skin Care 855-204-5102. Only one of them called me back, was very rude and asked me why didn't I cancel the order after 14 days? I asked them what they were talking about, I knew of no 14 day trial period. They would not refund me and only offered to cancel my order...there was no order. I then called the other company, and they were the same way. I told them I was going to report them to the Revdex.com, and they said that was fine, they were affliated with the Revdex.com. I received my December statement, and I've been charged another 87.63 from both companies. These companies are affiliated, they have the same voicemail, they put you on hold forever and their customer service people are very rude and not accommodating.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund from both companies of $350.52.That's 87.63 from Beauty Labs and 87.63 from Perfect Age Skin care from my November statement, and 87.63 from Beauty Labs and 87.63 from Perfect Age Skin care from my December statement.

Review: These people advertise and promote free trial off beauty products and you pay ONLY for shipping at $6.95. Turns out the offer/promotion I responded too touted using two seprate products in combination that worked better than either one individually. So, all of a sudden the shipping charge was for two at 6.95 each, or $13.90. I let that little discrepancy slide when the bill came and paid it in full. Unfortunately, within all their promotional crap I did not notice that you have only ten days to cancel and return the unused portion or you have basically agreed to accept ongoing shipments monthly at a rate of more than $87 each or $174 total each month! The bill came, but before any additional product was received I called to kill the orders and request a refund. They said that since I had received sample product and not returned it within the 10-day,s they would only credit back a portion of the $87 from each vendor. (Second vendor's name was [redacted]) That alone shold have told me fraud! So they were willing to credit back only $52.57, leaving me owing $35.06, or $70.12 b etween the two vendor names. Fortunately, being a good credit card customer of VISA and [redacted], they "courtesy" adjusted my account for a full refund. Considering these folks nationally pull this "bait and trap" little scam and with shipping fees receive between $70 and $80 per victim, for a small product sample that truly valued would not exceed $20, that works out to everyone being victimized at he rate of $50 each. Nothing criminally chargeable here but certainly an unethical and planned ruse to make lots of money from credit cards and victims. The credit card people should not allow these people credit card usage to run this kind of operation.Desired Settlement: Stop these people from such advertising of "free" trial with such underlying terms that few will read or be able to follow. If they had a real product, they would not have people requesting refunds and contract cancellations AFTER the initial billing.

Review: In July I ordered an one ounce container of skin cream for $4.95 and at that time there was no mention of charging me additional money or sending me additional product. I was charged in August $87.63 for this skin cream that was supposed to only be $4.95. Yesterday, September 29th 2014, I received a 2nd one ounce container and I was also charged another $87.63. I did not order the 2nd container nor did I see anything about them sending additional containers if I did not cancel. I emailed them on 29September2014 at [email protected] requesting they cancel any products and to refund me the two charges for a total of $175.26.Desired Settlement: I would like the two separate charges of $87.63 to be refunded to my account. I have returned the 2nd unrequested, unopened one ounce container in it's original packaging to the post office for them to return to Beauty Labs.

At Beautylabs every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on beautylabs.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on beautylabs.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.

Review: This company made a fake website posing as an [redacted] Promotional website offering a product for about $5 so I ordered it. NEVER ANYWHERE on this false website did it have a disclaimer about additional charges, etc. But today I was charged $90.70!!!! I never authorized this, again there was no explanation or sign up for additional purchases or charges!! They falsely identified themselves as being backed by Allure Magazine and then made unauthorized charge to my credit card! I had to cancel the card.Desired Settlement: Please make them cancel this pending transaction!! I work so hard for my money and I'm not an ignorant internet user, I read the fine print and there wasn't any!!

Review: The add online offered a free 30 day supply of a skin care product, by paying a $4.95 shipping charge. Clicking on the order button took you directly to a page where you entered your shipping info and credit card information, and then it was gone. A little over 2 weeks later I was looking at my credit card statement, and saw a charge for $87.63 to Beauty Labs. When I called the company to protest the charge, they told me that when I ordered, I was taken to the company website that stated the conditions for the order, which were that after 14 days I would be charged the full price for the product, and every 30 days there after, it would be automatically sent and charged. This was a total fabrication. The only thing they offered when I protested, was to cancel the order going forward, but would not refund my money.Desired Settlement: They should return funds that I believe were fraudulently received.

Review: This company advised me when I responded to a tv ad for anti-aging skin care that they would provide a month's supply to try at a reduced rate of $39.99 and assured me there would be no recurring charges each month; that I would have to re-order. When I got my credit statement, they had charged me $47.77 instead of the lower rate, and I received, the next month, another shipment for which I was charged an additional $47.77. I was not able to access a rep when I called the number listed on my credit statement. In the meantime, my purse and all credit cards were stolen so they were not able to recharge me for another month's supply of stuff I did not order (I did not receive any further shipments beyond what they had already charged me for), they filed a complaint against me with a collection agency, stating I received product I never paid for!! I have proof on my credit statements that they charged my card with both shipments they sent!Desired Settlement: I want this company to retract any accusations of unpayment, don't send me anything else and cancel any complaint against me with the collection company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution will be accepted by me. I will wait for the business to perform the action set out; and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I find this company's complete disregard, in two responses, of my complaints about ordering this through their customer service, where they gave me completely dishonest assurance of no recurring orders, reflective of, unfortunately too common, sales practices not to be trusted. I ordered by phone as my 78 year old impaired vision eyes cannot read "small print" and trusted the info I received at customer service. Anyway, yes, wishing to put this to rest and consider it a lesson well-learned, I accept their resolution.

Review: I PURCHASED A TRIAL OFFER OF THEIR FACE CREAM. THEY SAY TO TRY IT FOR 14 DAYS. I RECEIVED IT 7 DAYS AFTER MY PURCHASE AND THEN 7 DAYS LATER WAS CHARGED FOR THE PRODUCT. HOW IS SOMEONE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT THEIR PRODUCT IS LIKE IN 7 DAYS? THEY GIVE YOU A 30 DAY PRODUCT FOR THAT REASON.

THEY SAID I WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL IF I WANTED AN EXTENSION WHEN THEY CLEARING HAVE THE DATE THAT THE PRODUCT CAME TO ME? THEY OFFERED ME 1/2 MY MONEY BACK. THE WOMAN IS NOW TELLING ME I SHOULD HAVE SEEN A DIFFERENCE IN 3 DAYS??? WELL I DIDN'T THEY ARE ALSO PARTNERING WITH PERFECT AGE COMPANY WHO IS DOING THE SAME THING. I TRIED CALLING THEM 2 TIMES AND WAS PUT ON HOLD AND HUNG UP AFTER 15 MINUTES. I FEEL LIKE THEY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM SO IT IS HARDER TO CANCEL. THEY ALSO HAVE NO PLACE FOR REVIEWS ON THEIR WEB PAGES. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT AS AN ALERT.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY FULLY REFUNDED AND NOT JUST 1/2. I KNOW I MISSED THE 14 DAYS BY 1 DAY! THEIR PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT IT STANDS UP TO BE AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. IF THEY WOULD GIVE PEOPLE FAIR CHANCE TO TRY THEIR PRODUCT THAN MAYBE PEOPLE WOULD NOT FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BEING TAKEN FOR.

Review: When I purchased a trial test of beauty labs instant wrinkle reducer, I was under the impression that it was a special offer that required me to pay the postage and handling fee for a 30-day supply. I got a bill for $87.63 plus the postage and handling. Their terms and conditions were not made to me at the time of purchase. So, I was quite shocked when I got my credit card statement. Also, this special offer suggested a companion product that I could purchase at the same terms of paying the postage for a 30 day supply. My bill for that was not only the postage but an additional price of $87.63. And they were going to send me subsequent products every 30 days for $87.63 each. I have since cancelled both. But still must pay for the shipments because as it turns out these offers were for a trial period and if I did not cancel within that period I would be billed for said product. I feel they use deceptive practices to entice people to try their products and then must pay way more than they wanted to. The other product was from: [redacted], an anti-wrinkle cream, at [redacted]. suite 1 #[redacted], San Diego, CA [redacted]. Phone # 1-[redacted]Desired Settlement: My refund of: $87.63

Review: My wife and I ordered a "combination " of skin treatments for her (face) thus there are at least two presumably separate businesses and each has multiple addresses but are weak on listing their contact information. We finally reached one recorded message for Beauty Labs and later got a call from " [redacted]" via a third party called [redacted]. SO the matter of the address of these parties we cannot say. Initially we got an email saying use two different products together and get good results. Trial bottles were offered for $5.95 each. We ordered one each. They came about a week later. Then this morning we checked my wife's credit card and discovered both "businesses" had each charged her $87.63 for a total of $175.26 cents and said this charge was to be assessed monthly forever. As it happened I made a screen shot of both offers for just such an occasion as this and there is no mention whatsoever of any monthly or reoccurring charges. These businesses collectively have other complaints on the internet, and I have asked my bank to file a complaint. We hope you will warn others to do the same.Desired Settlement: AS above and cancel any further payment requests fraudulently billed.

Review: This company sent me a beauty product for $87.63 that I didn't order. They then debited my bank account for that amount without my knowledge or permission. I had ordered a product for $1.00 that I never received, and they charged my bank account $3.95. That's how they got my credit card number. They then sent me a small sample bottle of lotion without any order paperwork to substantiate the order. I was confused when I received their product, because I never ordered it. Then I got my bank statement and saw two large bank debits and two small ones against my account. Their sister company (Perfect Age Skin Care) is going to refund my money for the lotion I didn't order, but these people won't, because I filed a complaint with my bank and now the Revdex.com. Their advertising is very deceitful, and I think illegal. I have had to open a new bank account to keep these people from getting into my bank account again in the future. They have done this before. This is the third time I've had to change my bank account.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the total amount of money they took out of my bank account...$87.63 and $3.95 plus $5.00 to pay for shipping their product back...a total of $96.58.

Review: I ordered a trial sample of Beauty Labs product on Aug. 13. I never received the product until Aug. 24th which was after the 10 day trial period had ended. I never even opened the package or used the product. On Aug 25th they billed my checking account for $87.63. On Aug 26 I called the company and told them I was returning the product and expected them to return the funds to my account. The person whom I spoke with was very rude on the phone. I did return the unopened and unused product by mail on August 29th giving the order number and requesting that the total amount of funds be returned to my account. As of Today ( Sept 15th) that has not yet occurred. I am going to make an attempt to call them once again. What further action can I do ? I would like the total amount of funds returned to me.Desired Settlement: I want the total amount of funds ( $ 87.63 ) returned to my account immediately.

The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.beautylabs.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.beautylabs.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer placed the order on 8/06/2015. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 8/21/2015 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer contacted Beauty Labs on 8/22/2015 and again on 9/15/2015 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call on 9/15/2015, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $87.63 that day. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account. We stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis card with our contact information, with each order. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website, www.beautylabs.com or www.beautylabs.com/main/index.php. Review: On 10/13/14 I paid online using my Chase MasterCard for a "one-time special offer" of $4.95 for two 1 oz. bottles of facial lotion. The company said try these two products together--each for $4.95. There was no mention of having to cancel my account within 14 days or risk being charged an additional $87.63 for the "total price" of this bottle of lotion OR that they would charge me an ongoing $87.63 each for a continuing monthly supply of this lotion.

Once I noticed the credit card charges on my statement and was looking for a contact phone number, I found a small "Terms and Conditions" printed on the back of the brochure that came with the product stating if I did not "call within 14 days of my order I would be charged the low rate of only $87.63 for the bottle you received." This charge of $87.63 brings the total for each 1 oz. bottle to $92.58 or $185.16 for two!

I called Beauty Labs Customer Service and there is a hold message for at least 15 minutes. I emailed them requesting a refund and have not heard back yet.

Both Perfect Age Skincare (13223 Black Mountain Rd, Ste 1 #352, San Diego, CA 92129) and Beauty Labs each charged $87.63 to my credit card on 10/28/14.

I called Customer Service for Perfect Age SkinCare on 11/17/14 and asked for a refund and was told no. When I asked for a manager the woman said she could give me 50% refund of $43.00, take it or leave it. She said if I disputed the charges with the credit card, they would cancel the refund. I asked for names of supervisors and she gave me one name "[redacted]." (female) and that I could email them at [email protected]. Both of these companies state they are two different companies, yet you buy their product together on the same webpage, the products come in the same box, the company addresses are listed in San Diego, the charges appeared next to each other on my credit card statement and they use the same hold music/recordings when you call the "customer service phone number."Desired Settlement: Full refund of on both charges of $87.63 made to my Chase MasterCard on 10/28/14.

Response:

At Beauty Labs every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. The 14 days are from the original order date as we explain in the terms and conditions the customer agrees to when originally placing the order. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on http://beautylabs.com.com/ , the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on https://beautylabs.com.com/order.php where the customer would have ordered their product.
