While Ms [redacted] believes that the manager she previously spoke bordered on verbally abusive, it has been noted in her patient file by Dr [redacted] , who personally attended to her pet Gaston on 5/26/2014, that she did in fact walk out of our office before he could complete his communication cycle with Ms [redacted] , degraded the front desk receptionist with profanities and threatened to sue our office***No vomiting after fasting, rads reveal persistent opacity in stomachOwner wants to take pt home but offered to performed U/S at no charge in house - still suspicious of FB in stomachOwner was informed that surgery is best option but owner still wanted to take homeOffered to watch pt in hospital another night and possibly offer food if she didnt want surgery yet but owner was notified that if he vomited again he would need surgery for sureAlso informed owner of risks of intestinal obstruction if the foreign material made it further down the GI tract including possibility of resection and anastamosis if he became obstructed and it did not pass through the small intestineOwner left before I could discuss a surgery estimateShe yelled profanity at the front desk receptionist and threatened to sue if anything happened to her dogCalled owner and spoke with herOwner requests to take another rad in several hours and see if status has changed at allWill keep on IVF over night and try a small amount of i/d, re take rads in afternoon but informed owner there would likely be no change.=========================================================================...

Client has previously declined recommendations for surgery and elected to treat medically - this being the 3rd instance - which in previous instances medical condition resolvedSurgery was recommended again upon initial examination with [redacted] - client elected to treat medically and not surgically

Ms [redacted] presented Parker in 2/6/for an examination to address decreased appetite (days) and vomitingDuring the examination diagnostics recommendations were made to address the presented medical issuesPerformance of blood work diagnostics revealed elevated white blood count, elevated kidney values - systemic infection, dehydtation and pre-renal diseaseIn light of the results, treatment options and costs were discussed with owner at which point owner elected to pursue the recommended treatment program of iv fluids, iv antibiotics and anti-nausea medicationClient was contacted late in the evening of 2/6/to inform client of increased respiratory effort; symptoms from a previously diagnosed heart condition which was temporarily managed by Ms [redacted] Owner was informed of respiratory distress at which point doctor recommended oxygen therapy and chest radiographs; which owner approvedPatient was later removed from oxygen therapy as the increased respiratory effort had subsidedMs [redacted] 's statements that "we knew he was not going to make it" are without meritPer State Board regulations veterinarians can not in good faith guarantee the outcome of prescribed treatments and/or therapies Ms [redacted] 's statement that she arrived "with the hopes they would suggest to euthanize and end his suffering" was never verbalized to the doctorAt the time of admittance the client stated the patient had occasional bouts of coughing when excited but was otherwise breathing normally - presenting problem was the decreased appetite and vomiting which upon initial presentation did not appear to be life threatening - at which point treatment recommendations were made by Dr [redacted] which client elected to pursueAll efforts to diagnose and treat were within industry standardsIn light of our efforts and review of the case a refund will not be issued for services rendered

On 9/11/I saw my puppy was limping, and decided to take her into Becker to check on the issue since she was okay when I left her in the morning for workThey ran x-rays that day and did not see any breaks, they also prescribed a pain killer for my petBecker has a day policy to take your pet back if they aren't "back to normal" after a few weeks or daysOn 9/15/I noticed my pet had loose stool (which was one of the side effects of the medication they prescribed to my puppyI called in and the Vet that saw me when the issue first started happening told me to discontinue the meds9/19/we took my pet back in to see if Becker can do anything else but prescribe medications, the vet that helped us with the issue the first time was not in they had a vet from a different location, this vet was not familiar with the issue and had not read the notes from the first visit, he eventually told my husband that she was having issues with her leg because of the diet she was on "we were not feeding her proper food" is basically what he said, and that we can go ahead and continue on the medicationI then called Becker on 9/22/to check if the first vet that helped us was in and they informed me she was, when I got to Becker they had told me that the "vet had just left" so issuing me another vetThey only told me they'll send in the x-rays to a radiologist and will get back to me within the week, telling me it'll take days at the mostThe only other things they offered me was arthritis medications, and a laser therapyI have sought out better help and turned to VCA animal hospital I went in for an appointment on 9/29/and they scheduled an x-ray for 10/2/sent the x-ray to a radiologist and within hours they called me back telling me my puppy had a fracture that would have had needed a splint but now was too late to put her in one due to the fact that the fracture had already started healingAt this point, weeks had past and "Becker had sent my puppy's x-rays to a radiologist" I have still yet to hear anything from themI had put trust in Becker's hands to take care of my puppy as their "mission statement" says they take care of their customersMy puppy had a fractured leg for weeks without the care she neededBecker did perform their job properly and were negligent in their duty to respond within the time frame I had been informedThey failed to provide services and caused my puppy undue stress since care on leg had not been handled in a timely manner
My dad has two pets and takes them to Becker for their well careI will be sure to let him NOT to take them there anymore

On May 24, at 1:20pm a reply was sent to complainant. The reply email has been attachedIn response to complainant's request for a full refund for all services, a full refund adjustment was issued for services not rendered and a partial adjustment for treatment services which were
renderedThe total refund amount credited back to the clients was $in light of the circumstances surrounding the complainant's visitThe professional doctor fees -- the examination fee, radiograph and the radiologist report from Pet Rays were items that were charged for -- as these diagnostic services were completed prior to the passing of the patientThese charges amounted to $for services rendered

I made a purchase of boxes of a month supply for small cats advantageand it cost me I compared to petsmart store and the total price would've been A little over That's almost double the price And watch out for "free" tubes because they will charge you for themThis is how they make up with their hour non emergency expensesSo unless it's emergency and they're the only one that is open, I strongly discourage anyone to never go there

I took my cat here on a Sunday afternoon It took 2+ hours to be called back to see a vet, and another minutes in the examination room before the vet came in The suggested treatment was extremely conservatithe point that it was gouging My cat was constipated and straining to poop Enema plus fluids (subcutaneous) would be sufficient *Before the vet even examined him* they suggested hour intravenous fluids, enemas, x-rays...all at a cost of over $ Now, I love my cat, but he is just having problems pooping Would be like a medical doctor ordering a CT scan on a patient who is known to have headaches Overkill I told them just one enema and subcutaneous fluids, over $dollars for that pleasure but it did resolve the situation for about $less than they had suggested (and about hours less than what they suggested) Both approaches would have worked, but I have to believe that they were going for the approach that would result in the most profit for them

Diagnostic bloodwork and Ultrasound report did not indicate pyometra present.Diagnostic bloodwork was performed 3/13, 3/16 and 3/17 and results did not conclude that pyometra was present in Bella. Radiographs unremarkable. Ultrasound report was completed 3/23/2016 with no abnormal findings. (Report...

Attached)[redacted] did not provide our office with any diagnostic reports or statements from any other medical provider that the bloodwork performed here was incorrect. I am certain that the bloodwork she had performed elsewhere did provide different results; however the data from the bloodwork performed in our hospital did not indicate a pyometra condition present.[redacted]' complaint of a misdiagnosis comes 32 days after her initial visit to our office. This is also 21 days after [redacted] brought in Bella for the ultrasound; which concluded with no abnormal findings which would be indicative of a pyometra. On 3/13/2016 [redacted] made medical recommendations in [redacted] account for "Bella" to have her spayed if the problems did not resolve. (Pg. 8 - Medical Notes)The diagnostic bloodwork performed elsewhere would provide comparative results as to why VREC diagnosed a pyometra condition when we didn't.Owner has previously declined surgery for possible pyometra 12/16/2011 and 11/4/2012.
