Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I am disappointed to hear the continued lies but if nothing else is offered I would at least like my money back to put towards purchasing new clothing for my husband and myself He has not made any offers of reconciliation to this point so yes, my money back would be the least he could do Regards, [redacted]

Ref# [redacted] To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in reference to the above complaint On 7/31/we did in fact meet with the above claimantWe told her we believe we delivered all her items to here that were in our storage After reviewing her paperwork we saw that she signed for basic liability for her goodsBecause of that and her strong feelings that she did not receive everything, we paid her twice the amount due to her and also told her if by any chance we do find anything of hers we will return it to her and she still keeps the money The above claimant signed an agreement to this which states that by cashing the check given to her for her claim she will make no further claim against Becker MoversOn 8/8/she did cash the check so we feel that this matter is closed unless some of her items appearIf she continues this complaint then she is leaving us no other alternative but to turn this matter over to our attorney and take legal action against her Any questions please do not hesitate to call our office

On or about November 5th, I did talk with the said personI did quote him our hourly rate which is $for the truck and two menI told him the cost is from when out truck leaves our warehouse until it returnsI don't remember, but I could have told him that it could take a two hours, give or take a quarter hour but I again would have stated that it is what it takes with no guaranteesBecause no one got back to him and also of the misunderstanding there seems to be we have sent the said person a refund of $We are sorry for any confusion and hope this settles the said complaintAny questions please do not hesitate to call our office.Yours truly, [redacted] Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the above complaint We have settled the claim with the above customerIt did take us longer than to settle this, in which we do apologize forAny questions please do not hesitate to call usYours truly, Becker Movers

First of all I want to apologize for the length of time this took to respond to this complaintI
wanted to go over this job with the two people that did this job and unfortunately one of the guys had a
death in his family and he just got back
To start out with we did move the
***'s from Rochester, NY to Canandaigua, NYMrs***
did in fact report that she could not find one of her wardrobesShe filled out a claim form and sent it
back to usAfter careful review we denied her claim because as the letter we sent her states (copy
enclosed) what we picked up in her home in Rochester we did deliver everything in CanandaiguaIn
talking with both men just recently, they both stated that Mrs*** even looked in the back of the
truck and saw it was empty except for the wardrobes we loaned her for the move even though she
denies this
I verbally told her that she should make out a police report and if for some reason we were at
fault we would reopen her case
We are sorry for any problems but as we have tried to explain to Mrs***, we do not believe
we are at fault in any manner
Any questions please do not hesitate to call us

On 7/31/we met with the customer and have resolved the complaint
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call our office

At this point, it is a he said / he said situationThey told us different spread datesThe day of the piwe asked at least twice about the additional insuranceI was told we did not need it! We had Furniture that was damaged and items missingThey came highly recommendedI even called times asking for paperwork to be written upSO at this point it looks like we need to agree to disagree

This letter is in reference to the respond letter sent to us by the above claimant
After reviewing the response letter she wrote, both parties seem to be in disagreement with
each otherMy driver said the truck was empty and I believe himHe told me she looked in the back of
the truck upon completion and I also believe himNo we do not inventory when we do local moves
because of wasting time and costing customers moneyWe do not need to do it because we load up go
to the destination and unload so there is no sense to itMost movers do it this way with local moves as
customers are usually with the truck from loading, driving, and unloading
As far as talking to the police, I would think it would be a matter for them, as this seems to be a
grand larceny case
We do not know what to do at this point as we seem impassive
If she is looking to get her insurance money back, fine we are willing to do that but without any
kind of proof of our wrong doing, that is the best we can doI am sorry
Any questions please do not hesitate to call our office

It is a blatant lie that I checked the back of their truck- I wish I had I asked where my wardrobe was and the mover said it must be in the garage or the basement because he did not have anything else to unpack It was NOT in either place and was not delivered The police said it is not a police matter but to take it up with the movers I tried I understand it is my word against theirs but they did not fill out an inventory log that should have been checked off so we would have proof it was delivered Since this was negiligence on their part I am being penalized I do not feel it is fair that I paid for insurance, did what I had to do and they collected their fee but lost several thousand dollars of clothing*** ***

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in reference to the above claimant
To start out with I do not like to bash people so I will do my best not to do that
I went to the above claimant's home on 6/5/to give him an estimateBefore I went there
the
above claimant was told that we were booked up until after 7/4/by the girl in the office and I also told
him when I did the estimate
At the time I did the estimate I also told him it would take up to 10-days at the longest to get
thereHe also asked me if he had to be out by the end of June, what could we do for himI told him for
a minimum fee of $(normally the cost would be $600.00) we could hold it until we could register
itHe called at a later time and told me he needed it picked up by the end of June but could not receive
it before 7/15/Because of the above delivery dates we registered his shipment for pickup of 7/9/
- 7/11/and delivery 7/15/- 7/27/We had to do this because he could not receive it before
7/15/
Between him and his wife they complained to the van lines that they were never told about the
delivery spread dates so the van lines paid them from 7/11/- 7/20/@$75/day even they knew
they could not receive it before 7/15/and still took the money
He is right that he did not sign or receive an order for service to sign because he was gone
before we had dates from himThis paper only shows his estimated cost, which he was given, and the
spread dates which he manipulated in getting the $reimbursement from the van lines
If he asked about a contract I have no idea, but if he had asked, I would have told him that the
official document for the shipping of his goods is called a Bill of Laden which he signs on moving day
When I did the estimate I gave him a brochure on how the liability works and it is his choice and his
choice only
As far as any claims, he would have been paid from the van lines directly by what liability he
signed forHe chose the basic liability and was paid by that
Mu, only fault is that I told him verbally about the delivery spread dates and did not get the
estimate signed showing the datesAs far as the liability, when I did the estimate I explained it though
with him and told him if he has any additional questions to just call me
I feel that he was overpaid on the delay charges and he did not take out additional insurance at
the additional cost which he knew about so I feel that what the van lines paid him was fair value
Any questions please do not hesitate to call us
Yours truly,
Becker Movers

this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did meet with the manager & he assured me he will continue to look for my things I will not consider this resolved until everything is found & returned to me My insurance claim was pretty much rejected because the company can not believe so much stuff has been lost I received a check for $- which covers less than half of the television that was broken by sheer negligence The manager was very nice, and I do believe he is trying to do the best he can, but the bottom line is, I want my things and I don't have them And, until it can be ascertained that by some miracle, they are not in the warehouse, I won't even get any insurance moneyMeanwhile, I have to replace dishes, silverware, clothes, linen - many every day items I can not afford I am truly sorry I can not be more accommodating in this matter, but I am very anxious to resolve this as soon as possible, and the manager has explained that they have so many containers, it could be a long time before anything happens

Revdex.com spoke to Brooke at business and the following was relayed: We are working with the customer. We were scheduled to go to the customer's yesterday to see the damage but the customer cancelled. We are waiting for the customer to call back and reschedule.

We did talk with the daughter about the move and cost. We have made the agreed adjustment to this job with the customer and the problem is solved. Any questions you may contact us anytime.

This letter is in reference to the above person's complaint.During the move an accident did occur and a piece broke off her washing machine. We went to [redacted] toget the part and they did not have It in stock so they had to order It and that is why it would not be fixeduntil 2/22/17. We have since...

dropped the piece off to her and called her numerous times to see if sheneeded assistance to get the piece put on the machine but has never returned our calls. As far as her comment about It taken to long, we dispute her claim as the manager that went out to herhouse after loading saw how full the truck was and agreed that the times would be right. They do talkto each other as a form of communication. We feel we completed our commitment by repladng thebroken piece which seemed to be her biggest concern. We are sorry about the problem and hope this matter is settled.Any questions you or Ms. [redacted] have can contact our office.Yours truly,Becker Movers

This letter is in reference to the letter you wrote to the Revdex.com. Yes you were quoted $2300.00 - $2800.00 for your move. Also on your estimate sheet it also says that this is only an estimate and you still will be charged for the exact charges. Also on your contract signed on moving...

day we are not responsible for damaged items packed by the owner. Out of good faith we are sending you a check for $300.00 for the misunderstanding of your move cost and any damages.Any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call. We also want to wish you well in your new home and also want to wish you happy holidays. Yours truly, Ron W. Becker Movers

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Their claims are 100% incorrect. I did not remember where I bought the mattress, later recalling that I had purchased it online - not at a local store and therefore do not have any warranty. Becker Mover’s attempts to contact [redacted] or their “buddy” who has a bed they can get for me were solely to remove them from being on the hook for THEIR mistake! They refuse to take any responsibility. Additionally, the manager Brett, along with Becker Movers AND the moving guys themselves saw the mattress in person and were sent detailed photographs of the damage (which was NOT exclusive to the massive lump! The movers had pulled all the stitching on the pillow top up when wrenching it around to move it rather than utilize the handles on the sides (as had been done both times it was successfully moved in the past). Additionally, those photos went to 3 local mattress stores AND 4 furniture repair places in an attempt to get it fixed; all of whom said (confirmed) it was not repairable. All of this was communicated in documented and recorded messages to Becker Movers. I attempted to call Becker Movers 7 times between the day of my move and finally buying myself a new mattress. I was never able to get to the person who manages claims because he was always and consistently out of the office. Each time I left a message, all of which were ignored. Two weeks after I had to buy myself a new bed, I FINALLY got a callback from Becker Movers, who at this point knew I had gotten a new bed and got rid of the old one, and it wasn’t until THEN that they decided they needed to see it again in person to approve the claim, which is utter garbage!! Unfortunately for them, there are 4 other (women) who have experienced the EXACT same treatment (damage to items, mistreatment of cliam and unsupported denial) who support that Becker Movers systematically mistreats, cheats and scams it’s female customers. They shouldn’t be operating as a business. As for me, I’ll be taking them to court. I have recorded messages (that they hung up on me multiple times when I’ve said I’m recording them. Now I know why. They didn’t want proof of their scam and lies!! Too bad, I’ve got it!) [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,[redacted]

We used Becker movers to move a 2800 sq foot house, 4 bedrooms. Becker sent a medium size moving truck, just one. It was a nightmare. The truck had to make two trips, plus the whole family had to make several trips in our personal cars. We had a pair of women leather boots and a safe stolen by the movers that day. In my opinion, don't use them.

This letter is in reference to the complaint we received from you about the above person. To start out with we did in fact move the above person into our storage on December 10, 2016and moved her out on Apri114, 2017.Shortly after her moving in she called our office about some missing screws and...

brackets. Welooked and found none. We told her this and we would send her out a claim form for these items. On May 15, 2017 we received a claim form for 10 items that we knew nothing about except fortwo items for missing hardware. On June 2, 2017 we sent a representative out to the home to look at the claimed items. Heresponded to say that there were some scratches on her items and that everything was put togetherexcept for the 4 screws to the leg of the pinball machine. At no point from her move out of our warehouse on 4/14/17 untii7/S/17 was there anymention of missing items other than screws and brackets to the items they took apart. After reviewing the contract that she signed on moving day, which was $.30/lb. per article forliability we found it easier to pay her according to the contract she signed rather than argue with thecustomer. We also told her that for storage we only have the basic coverage of $.30/lb. per article becausemost home owner's insurance company's cover the items when in storage. Why would you doubleinsure anything as you cannot collect twice for the same claim? We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] was unhappy with our settlement but we felt that it was a fairsettlement. If anyone has any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.Yours truly,Becker Movers
