Review: I hired the Beltman Group to move my household goods from [redacted] on 11/12/2014. Mr. [redacted] was the driver of my van transportating my household goods. When we got to Florida, some 12+ boxes were missing. I called Ms. [redacted] at this time to let her know what I was missing and she told me she would track Mr. [redacted] down and see what the deal was. She did this and it took another week and a half to have my "missing boxes" send via FedEx first three boxes then four. In these boxes were my gransmothers 60 year old china, some glass such as soup tourine that my mother made 30 years ago, an "Irish tree" from [redacted] and so forth. I did put in a claim for the broken things and received 275.00 not nearly what it cost and some things are not replaceable. My problem is I have had multiple emails with this group and with the main Northamerican Headquarters as I feel that my things were not delivered as promised. I did ask Mr. [redacted] at time of delivery if there were any more boxes on the truck and he told me"no", then I had to call and track him down and then it took 3 days before he called to say yes he still had some of my boxes. Then knowing that these things were mostly china, he sent them through FedEx and of course they were broken. He even went through my things and repacked some of the boxes to combine them. I have had multiple emails and contacts with this office and no resolution. I feel I paid them in good faith 3800 and feel they should in good faith pay or at least offer me some kind of money back for the stress and heart ache of not being able to replace my things. Alot of things such as teapot and soup tourine was made by my mother before she died, how can that ever be replaced. Thank you.Desired Settlement: 1000 or at least somekind of offer.

Response:
Ms [redacted]'s statements are true this was loaded by Driver [redacted] from NJ to Fl at the time of delivery he stated all goods were delivered. . The driver still have the cartons on his trailer in the belly boxes , then Fed Ex them to her which he repacked . When sented in this matter item arrived broken. MS. [redacted] was informed to send in a claim with NorthAmerican which she and spoke to Customer Service. She was unhappy with the response form them about compensation of the damage china. This claim should go to Driver [redacted] with NorthAmerican not with hte New Jersey Branch.

Response:
I appreciate all the help From Beltman Group, but for 4 months I have been going back and forth with North American headquarters who tell me there is "NOthing they can do about reimbursement", only about my claim for damaged goods but that Beltman should be responsible as it was "Their Driver", as stated by head of North American. I agree, but in order for me to get this from the Driver, I have to put 500.00 dollars out of my pocket with no guarantee of getting anything back! I paid them in good faith and expect some compensation along with the cost of damaged good for services not "RENDERED". I did receive my check from North American for the broken/damaged goods, 275.00 andto replace all my damaged goods were well over 500 not to mention all this grief for last 4 months! Not acceptable. I took this all the way up in North American to the President at the Claims office, and was told just as described above, so why should I have to pay for mistakes that should have never happened! I think the driver is 100% at fault, and would be glad to go after him but not at another 500 cost to me. That is very, very unfair. I am open to any suggestions on how to go after this driver as long as it is not costing me anymore money. I paid 3800 to have my household goods moved as I said that is enough money from me.

Response:
the driver was not from Beltmann in NJ and the driver does haul for Beltmann Group. [redacted] has request her claim with North American and is waiting for the return .She could go to arbitration with North American to settle with the driver.
Review: We chose Beltmann Group to manage our relocation from CT to CA. We received an initial guaranteed price from Beltmann for $14,266 to handle the move. Our sales representative with Beltmann, [redacted], told us that if we sold or disposed of any furniture, or packed any of our own boxes that we should let him know so that he could reduce the total price of the move. On the eve of the move we told [redacted] we had packed 45 boxes and disposed of a desk and some chairs. He told us he could not come out to alter the quote, but that our price would be adjusted upon completion of the move. Upon completion of the move, [redacted] and everyone at Beltmann became unavailable and unresponsive. We have had at least 20 calls go unreturned. [redacted] and the folks at Beltmann ultimately said that because it was a guaranteed quote the price could not be altered, contrary to what Beltmann promised during the sales process (and this was one reason we went with Beltmann). When we elevated the complaint to [redacted], they ultimately told our beef was with Beltmann. Beltmann claims they used more materials than included in the quote based on some other inventory they took during the move that does not tie to the official manifest. However, they have not been able to provide this "inventory" to me, and I've been waiting for 5 weeks. At this point, I wouldn't trust it anyway as I didn't witness the inventory, nor did I sign off on it, and the inventory taken at the actual departure that I did witness should trump any other inventory anyway. Based on my treatment, their false promises and inability to actually provide this document, I would suspect any inventory to be fraudulent at this point anyway. According to the official inventory, they moved 125 boxes, of which I packed 45, leaving a net packed by Beltmann of 80, well below the estimate of 106.Desired Settlement: Per the quote, Beltmann charges $19.82 in material and packing services per box. We paid for 106, but they actually only packed 80. Therefore, we are due a refund for this part of the move of $515. As pertains to the large items we disposed of (and we disposed of a lot between the quote and the move, but we chose to focus on furniture), we ultimately lowered the weight of our move by 200lbs., per the quote. Beltmann charged us $1.08 per pound for the move, therefore, they owe us an additional refund of $216 for 200lbs of items they never actually moved. The grand total of the refund owed is $731. I should charge interest and a penalty for the amount of time I have spent trying to get this company to fulfill their obligations and promises, but at this point I'd be happy just to get the base amount owed. Any other penalties assessed in addition for their lack of accountability, inability to fulfill their obligations and general disdain for their customers would be appreciated.
