Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint From: [redacted] Sent: Wednesday, December 09, 2:PMTo: drteamSubject: Re: Revdex.com- [redacted] [redacted] ,The issue has not been resolved. The business offered to buy the truck back less the taxes and fees I paid, which does not resolve the issueI can't simply return the truck and have nothing to drive away and I've not been able to find a suitable alternative at that dealership or elsewhereI emailed Meylinda L [redacted] last week and explained this...even asked for help finding a replacement vehicle, and have yet to receive any response by email or phoneIn my email I also asked for her to propose an alternate resolution. So, I was hoping to meet with them to discuss in personWhen I did speak to Meylinda L [redacted] previously (because I called her), she was completely dis-interested in what I was sayingIn fact, she clearly wasn't listening because she wasn't responding to anything I said or asked.Bottom line is that the issue isn't resolved to my satisfactionI'll go up to see them in an attempt to resolve the issue directly with the business in spite of my previous trips I've made in an attempt to do soBut, if the issue cannot be resolved in that way I'd still like to pursue mediation.I'm out of state through 12/and won't be able to deal with this until week after nextThanks, [redacted] Regards,

***, On behalf of Beck and Masten we would like to apologize about the first car buying experience with our dealership We did offer a gift card that was no availble from [redacted] and we offered to compensate him with a check from our dealership The check is here at the dealership after several failed attemp to mail it out to [redacted] It has been at our switch board since Feb 2nd and can be picked any time he choosesIf you have any questions or need anything please contact me directly Respectfully [redacted] Director of Sales [redacted]

On October 30, 2014, Mr [redacted] brought in his Chevrolet pi truck into our shop for an engine oil leak Prior to this repair, Mr [redacted] purchased a new GM engine assembly and had it installed into his truck by an unknown person and/or repair shopThe engine assembly was sold with a warranty for failures not related to the installation (since the installation was not done by an authorized GM repair shop) Our technician raised up the truck and found oil on the bottom rear of the engine His initial conclusion was that the leak came from the engine oil pan or the rear main seal To verify the diagnosis, he cleaned off the oil and then allowed the engine to sit overnight In the morning it was clear that the oil leak was from the engine oil pan Our technician resealed the oil pan Beck & Masten NEVER removed the transmission as that is not required to reseal the oil pan The allegation in the customer's statement that we did not tighten bolts from the engine to the transmission is - we never loosened the bolts in the first place However, it should be noted that the person that replaced the engine originally would be required to separate the transmission before engine replacement can be done If engine replacement is done without the proper training and equipment, it is possible to mis-align the engine and transmission, force the bolts in at an improper angle, and cause the damage the customer has alleged Mr [redacted] was told this on two separate occasions This first time a few weeks after our repair was done, and once again months later Both times we explained to Mr [redacted] that we did not remove the transmission A few weeks ago we also offered to inspect the truck at no charge to help advise him on what may have caused the failure Once again, we did not do anything except perform a very simple removal and re installation of the pan that is on the bottom of the motor This does not have ANYTHING to do with the transmission, and nothing to do with the apparent improper installation of the engine Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter [redacted] -- Mike [redacted] Director of Service Beck & Masten Buick GMC (281) 897- [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint I'd like to ask that the business read my complaint again and in fullAs I stated, I've returned to the business times now regarding this matter and have communicated extensively via email and phone with someone who represented himself as a manager and stated that he could assist in resolving the issueThat drive is miles and approximately hours for me round tripI'm not making the trip again unless I know what the resolution is ahead of timeTo date, the only proposed resolution was to offer to accept the vehicle I purchased as a trade, for a financial loss to me, on another vehicle that would meet my towing needsThis isn't an acceptable resolution for what amounted to either negligence, incompetence, deliberate deception...or all three on the part of my original salespersonLet me be quite clear that this issue was not due to any confusion on my partI went to a dealership and communicated my wants and needs with someone who is supposed to be a sales professional knowledgable in all things regarding the product being soldI'll purchase less vehicles in my lifetime than a mediocre salesman will sell in a yearThese sales professionals are supposed to be just that, which implies that they are expertsThey certainly should be more knowledgable than the average consumer, which I amIf the consumer is expected to be fully educated on the product with no burden on the business to provide that education, then there is no reason for them to existConsumers would just order a vehicle online and have it delivered to their home.I don't wish to do further business with Beck & Masten simply because I don't trust themWhy would I purchase another vehicle from them and injure myself even more? If I am to trade in and purchase a new vehicle I wish to do it elsewhere unless Beck & Masten is willing to do an even trade for a vehicle that performs in the manner in which the vehicle I purchased was supposed to perform, as falsely represented by Carlos H [redacted] , JuniorOr, make me whole in cash for the loss I'll take on the trade elsewhere.Again, I would ask that a Manager from Beck & Masten contact meI know that they have my contact information Regards, [redacted]

I have raised multiple concerns regarding deceptive sales pratices, falsely documenting the certified inspecrion paperwork, poor follow up service and moreI dont understand why the business has failed to address ALL my concernsI have asked several times for my concerns to escalated to a higher level of authority because the responses received have not been fair or justifiable to account for the experiences I've encountered due to their negligence and missed opportunities. When I got to the shop and my truck was on the lift I saw transmission fluid all over the bottom of my truckI then asked the tech why there was fluid everywhere and he said he thought it was the rear main seal and pulled my transmissionAfter looking closer I realized that he did not put the bolts back in my transmission yet so I took pictures of the truck while sitting on the lift with no bolts in my transmissionI have pictures with dates and times to prove itThis is clearly their fault and they won't make any kind of reasonable offers to make up for their mistake.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I responded to the Beck&Masten Dealership to provide the requested information directly. For right now, the claim is still pending until they send me the paperwork for the extended warranty. You can close this claim, but I reserve the right to re-open if [redacted] did not provide me with the papers.Have a nice day![redacted]

We have offered several times for Mr [redacted] to come to our dealership and resolve this matter and get a vehicle that will accomodate  his towing needs.  Our sales manager ,   Melynda L[redacted] has been waiting to complete this transaction, but has been ussuccessful in setting an...

appointment to do so.    We do apologize for the confusion on this purchase but we will make this right if we can get Mr [redacted] back to our location at his earliest conveience   Regards Parrish H[redacted] Director of SalesBeck and Masten Buick GMC281 897 6671[redacted]

On October 30, 2014, Mr. [redacted] brought in his 2006 Chevrolet pick-up
truck into our shop for an engine oil leak.  Prior to this repair, Mr.
[redacted] purchased a new GM engine assembly and had it installed into his
truck by an unknown person and/or repair shop. The engine assembly was...

sold with a warranty for failures not related to the installation (since
the installation was not done by an authorized GM repair shop).
Our technician raised up the truck and found oil on the bottom rear of
the engine.  His initial conclusion was that the leak came from the
engine oil pan or the rear main seal.  To verify the diagnosis, he
cleaned off the oil and then allowed the engine to sit overnight.  In
the morning it was clear that the oil leak was from the engine oil pan.
Our technician resealed the oil pan.  Beck & Masten NEVER removed the
transmission as that is not required to reseal the oil pan.
The allegation in the customer's statement that we did not tighten bolts
from the engine to the transmission is false - we never loosened the
bolts in the first place.  However, it should be noted that the person
that replaced the engine originally would be required to separate the
transmission before engine replacement can be done.  If engine
replacement is done without the proper training and equipment, it is
possible to mis-align the engine and transmission, force the bolts in at
an improper angle, and cause the damage the customer has alleged.  Mr.
[redacted] was told this on two separate occasions.  This first time a few
weeks after our repair was done, and once again 11 months later.  Both
times we explained to Mr. [redacted] that we did not remove the
transmission.  A few weeks ago we also offered to inspect the truck at
no charge to help advise him on what may have caused the failure.
Once again, we did not do anything except perform a very simple removal
and re installation of the pan that is on the bottom of the motor.  This
does not have ANYTHING to do with the transmission, and nothing to do
with the apparent improper installation of the engine.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
I'd like to ask that the business read my complaint again and in full. As I stated, I've returned to the business 3 times now regarding this matter and have communicated extensively via email and phone with someone who represented himself as a manager and stated that he could assist in resolving the issue. That drive is 71 miles and approximately 1.5 hours for me round trip. I'm not making the trip again unless I know what the resolution is ahead of time. To date, the only proposed resolution was to offer to accept the vehicle I purchased as a trade, for a financial loss to me, on another vehicle that would meet my towing needs. This isn't an acceptable resolution for what amounted to either negligence, incompetence, deliberate deception...or all three on the part of my original salesperson. Let me be quite clear that this issue was not due to any confusion on my part. I went to a dealership and communicated my wants and needs with someone who is supposed to be a sales professional knowledgable in all things regarding the product being sold. I'll purchase less vehicles in my lifetime than a mediocre salesman will sell in a year. These sales professionals are supposed to be just that, which implies that they are experts. They certainly should be more knowledgable than the average consumer, which I am. If the consumer is expected to be fully educated on the product with no burden on the business to provide that education, then there is no reason for them to exist. Consumers would just order a vehicle online and have it delivered to their home.I don't wish to do further business with Beck & Masten simply because I don't trust them. Why would I purchase another vehicle from them and injure myself even more? If I am to trade in and purchase a new vehicle I wish to do it elsewhere unless Beck & Masten is willing to do an even trade for a vehicle that performs in the manner in which the vehicle I purchased was supposed to perform, as falsely represented by Carlos H[redacted], Junior. Or, make me whole in cash for the loss I'll take on the trade elsewhere.Again, I would ask that a Manager from Beck & Masten contact me. I know that they have my contact information.
Regards,[redacted]

Mr [redacted], WE apologize for the confusion on the sales event fyler that was distrubuited to customers in the area.  We were unable to meet the requests from Mr [redacted] due to the negetive equity on the 2011 [redacted] pickup.  The new vehicle option was the only way that we could do...

business, that is  why we directed him to the new sales team.  The new vehicles have factory rebates and incentives that will help cover the negetive equity. We will remove Mr [redacted] from receiving any furture mail out s or flyers from here on out.    Once again we do apologize for the confusion and any frustration this flyer may have caused  Respectfully, Parrish [redacted]Director of Sales Beck and Masten Buick GMCP[redacted]@BECKMASTEN.NET
