We always sell our cars with good intentions and the good intentions of helping them purchase a good, dependable, and safe vehicle.  We have been in business for 25 years and have a A+ rating with the Revdex.com.  The customers test drove the vehicle prior to the sale and...

the only complaint at that time was it was idling rough.  I informed them that we did a tune up and that had not fixed the problem.  The gentleman replied that "I have to a mechanic that will be able to figure it out."  The customers came to the shop on two occasions.  The first time was concerning the transmission. As far as the transmission, when I went with them on a test drive it shifted but not like a new truck.  I stated the vehicle is 17 years old with miles on it and it is not going to shift like a new truck.  I stated the transmission needed serviced.  The second time the customers came to the shop it was for the shifter cable, emergency brake cable and the headlights.  I replaced the broken shifter cable, fixed the emergency brake cable, and adjusted the lights at NOT COST to the customer.  I was not aware of any other problems with the truck.  I always do my best to help my customers with any issues with a vehicle and do the repairs.  If the customers would like me to evaluate the truck and discuss the issues that need to be fixed, I will gladly do so.  The truck is financed with us as we try to help the local people who cannot get financing with a bank.  If we didn't have good intentions, why would we finance the vehicle at ZERO percent interest.  We are here to help our customers. At this point, I do not know what action to take.  I feel that I should not have to deal with threats and false statements about me or my business.  Like I have mentioned above, we have been in business for 25 years.  We are a family owned business and do all we can to help our customers purchase a good, dependable, and safe vehicle.  We also help with any issues that might arise after the vehicle being purchased.

I have replied to the customers concerns each time contacted.  When the customer purchased the vehicle, a discount of $250 was given to compensate for the alignment the car needed.  She at the time of purchase, purchased a warranty on the vehicle for $115.00 from Auto Services which...

only covered the drivetrain.  This warranty does not cover rack and pinion.  When the customer took the car for the safety and emissions inspection in Missouri and issues where found, I fixed the issues free of charge.  These issues included a muffler and one wheel and tire needing replaced.  When I fixed the car, I went above the issues and replaced the complete exhaust system, a wheel, and replaced two new tires on the vehicle.  The safety and emissions inspection passed in the state of Missouri after the work was completed.  After four months and new issues, I have offered to fix the current issues with the vehicle for $280.00.  The estimates she is receiving from other mechanics is overpriced and the issue does not cost that much to repair.  I am not charging the customer labor just for the parts needed to fix the car.  I have tried to work with the customer each time I am contacted.  I am not sure what else I can do to help her.

We had to have the truck towed to the dealership when the shifter broke, When I went to pick it up, I talked to them, [redacted] told me what they did to fix it and not only showed me the cables and left them in the bed, I AM NOT questioning that they did fix this problem.         When I was getting ready to leave, I told him that MAYBE that fixed the transmission slip, In which he replied sternly " I'M Not putting anymore money into it" .I took it strait home that day. Stopped at the store, When I went to leave it did the same thing. and it is now gotten worse, I have to start out in second then shift up to drive to get it to go without bucking. I took it down to a 3rd  Mechanic who looked it over for me. that's where we found the the whole front of the bed is rusted off from the frame, And where they were supposed to fix the squeaking in the front end, they apparently rigged a piece of sheet metal where they were supposed to weld it back up sturdy. This thing is so ate up with rust underneath that I'm afraid to drive it out of town, The front end has a shimmy in it, I asked my mechanic if it could be wheel bearings, he looked at it and and said no but there is a lot of rust around the break assembly's that could be causing it.so have  fear that I could go down the road and a tie rod or something break or a  break line burst, This thing is a rust bucket .The first mechanic we took it to when it wasn't running right, said it looked to have been sitting for a time in water by the line on the bottom pulleys. When I asked I was told no It's because of Chicago weather. Either way it's a Rust bucket  and It shouldn't have been sold to us or anyone else.  I know he thinks he did us a favor ( By us I mean myself and my Girlfriend [redacted] ) by letting us make payments. I'd appreciate that if the vehicle was fit to be on the road. I'm sure He wouldn't want to take a trip in it.  Anyone can look at the mileage and see it hasn't a whole lot more than when I got it, I've been to Carbondale 3 times, Marion twice and my girlfriends a couple times , the rest is in town when I need to because I'm afraid to drive it.   And, Nobody threatened anyone.  We simply stated that we would be taking legal action.  The Attorney General's office has already been in contact.  Please just give us our money back.  You can have the truck back

After contacting the business about the aforementioned issues, the business owner advised that we have the vehicle inspected by another party. My fiance and I decided to take the vehicle to Dodge for a full inspection. The inspection at Dodge...

revealed there was not a head gasket leak; however, there were approximately 3,500 dollars worth of repairs and general maintenance that needed to be done on the vehicle to make it safe to drive. We contacted Best Buy Auto, and the business owner gave us a 300 dollar refund in order to satisfy our complaint.

I had many phone calls from the customer in which I responded to each time.  I offered to fix the issues free of charge that made them feel that the vehicle was unsafe.  I also did do repairs to the vehicle for the customers.  Once they stated they felt the vehicle was unsafe and wanted their money back, I told them I could refund them $900.00 but could not refund the full amount due to part of the money was for taxes, title and registration.  When the customer came to receive the refund and I figured the actual amount it came to $989 which is more then they had agreed upon.  I refunded the money and while in my office the customer wrote a reply to Revdex.com stating that they were satisfied and happy with the transaction but it seems that was never submitted to Revdex.com.  They also signed an agreement stating they were happy and had received the refund they accepted.

Spoke with [redacted] today.   He is telling me that we opened up a new complaint case.  I said no we didn't.   He apparently called and spoke with someone at Revdex.com and that's what they told him.  I said no, I told them all that you said and done and submitted the photos and documents and he yet argued with me.  [redacted] also said that [redacted] said all was well and he was satisfied.   [redacted] said NO he did not.  When he shook his hand he said Thank you.   That was it.  He still claims taxes etc were over $600.  When you return something you get taxes included.    This company is awful,  and we will let everyone know that.   Although we have been told that.  Selling junk vehicles that are a safety hazard.    Please post this response.   They owe us about  $800 more for a vehicle that is a hazard that we don't have and gave back to them.

The fact that you only paid 1500.00 for the car , I only can embraces you 150.00 , because that what would've cost to repair the fuel pump. apologized for his loud voice for screaming and yelling. We found that the timing belt jumped two teeth which could happen at any point. We gave him an option to buy a warranty, but he chose not to. He bought this as is. We always stand behind out work and work with our customers. We diagnosed the problem free, and the repair I did for him would have cost him $600 somewhere else. He agreed to this and was happy with what I was charging him. I do not know the change of heart after he finished with us. We have been in business for 25 years and have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. I can not please everyone, and I tried my best to help this customer. When he only paid $200 he left my shop happy. If he is not happy with this I do not know how I can help him. If he is having second thoughts about the car, the car had absolutely no issues when he left with it. He agreed to bring the car to us and help him diagnose the problem. We brought the car back and fixed it at the very very minimum cost.

Review: I purchased a vehical from Best Buy Auto Sales on 6-28-13 at The Grover Beach location, I was using my paid off 2001 Saturn L200 as a trade in which they valued at 1,500.00 and then I was also putting down 2,000.00 cash. several days later I was looking at the contract and my trade in was not even listed on the contract and I had already signed over the pink slip for my Saturn to them, I contacted the salesman ASAP in regards to this matter and was told he made a mistake on the contract and that he would issue me a check for the 1,500.00 the next day. after several days went by I contacted the salesman again and he told me that he would have to a signed check from the owner of the buisness, and another week went by and tried to contact the salesman again and I was told he was out of town for several days, I then contacted the finance company and the loan officer there said she would contact the buisness owner and have the call me regarding this matter. NOTHING YET!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want the 1,500.00 dollars that I was prommissed to be paid to me before the end of this month.
