Please see attached contract signed by the customer which states in detail the repairs included and the prices quoted.Repair of the tub faucet was not agreed on or included. Please note the original price quoted was $and discount was $( 16% discount ) This customer also delivered a DVD to our office threatening to slander our company on social media and TV news if his demands were not metDo you have any recommendation on what recourse we have if this is done?We will email a copy of the DVD if you would like.We charge by the job as stated in the contract not by the hourHowever, there also were materials purchased and the overhead of our trucks, office staff, insurances, ectthat the customer forgot to factor into HIS plumber hourly rate that he came up with

We were the sub contractor for the General Contratcor on this job We generally do not have contact with the GC's client rather we go through the GC as it is his customerOnce we had authorization to deal direct with the homeowner we have sent our guys to address the issuesWe did not supply the fixtures, only installed what was providedThe lines were flushed out at least times alreadyThe sediment is from older pipes throughout the house clogging the faucetsWe already agreed to install an extension on the one valve recessed in the wallWe still recommend the booster pump to provide adequate and factory recommended pressure however already agreed to assess it again once we clear sediment from the faucets (3rd time). Please let me know how this complaint can be reolvedThanks so much.We have been in contact with the homeowner multiple times and I will copy & paste an email thread below as proof of just this conversation, not to mention the multiple other times we have spoken to this customer regarding his issuesFrom: [redacted] < [redacted] >Date: April 16, at 12:49:PM EDTTo: "***@bestchoiceplumbing.net" Cc: [redacted] >, [redacted] >Subject: Re: Plumbing Follow UpThe extension kit is ordered$I am awaiting a proposed ship date, and will let you all know when I have itOn Thu, Apr 16, at 12:PM, [redacted] < [redacted] > wrote:ok, I will do so todayOn Thu, Apr 16, at 12:PM, ***@bestchoiceplumbing.net wrote:Please order the extension and let me know when it comes in so I can scheduleI'll pay for the extension [redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted] ** [redacted] Bob H [redacted] Best Choice Plumbing [redacted] ***Phila., Pa., ***Phn###-###-####Fax ###-###-####On Apr 16, 2015, at 12:PM, [redacted] < [redacted] > wrote:Bob;Thank you for finally responding to our concernsI appreciate that you seem willing to resolve this, we would certainly like that to happen as soon as possibleBased on your responses I think your staff are feeding you inaccurate information about what was done and what needs to be doneIf you would like to stop by the house you will see clearly what is going on and where your staff dropped the ballWhatever the case, if we can get these problems resolved we will be happy to put this matter behind usIn response to your responses.1) The sprays were only actually cleaned once, the last time someone was thereOther times Bill simply took the spray cover off and never cleaned the fitting which connects to the copper line, which is where the clog actually wasOnce that was done for the wall sprays, then suddenly worked fine without the pressure pump on The remaining valves and other fixtures have also not been cleanedWhether the debris was from the install or from old pipes should not matter, new installations routinely have debris in the lines, cleaning the fixtures when they are first started up should be a part of the process. Please lets do that now for all the remaining fixtures2) I have not ordered the extension, Its cost is $dollars, It is required as a result of incorrect installation, you should pick up that costOnce you confirm that you will cover the coat, I will order, or give you the order information to order the valveOtherwise you can open the wall and correct the installation to the manufacturer's specs3) The spray worked fine when first installed withNow that it has been cleaned it works fine with no pumpThe specs show optimal pressure as psi, The actual pressure is The workable pressure range as you can see by your own attachment and confirmed by the Manufacturer is from to PSIIt does not need to be pumped up to 70psi to workThe pump is not plugged in or turned onThe pressure is fine on the sprays that were cleanedIf Bill had actually cleaned the fixtures correctly there would have been no reason to install the pump which he deceptively forced on me even though I have insisted since day one that the fixtures were cloggedThe sink faucet was clogged, your people cleaned it, then it worked greatWhy was this such an issue with the shower? Revdex.com: I am rejecting this response because:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I do not agree with a number of the statements put forth by the businessI do agree that the business has been in touch with me finally after I filed this complaint, and invoked other, harsher remedies I agree the business sent people over on several occasions, however they did not clean anything until the last visitwhere they cleaned one part of the system and it actually worked as promisedThey left before cleaning the remainder The business representative used the clogged pipes to upsell us a pressure pump we did not want THe pressure pump did not affect the problem or resolve it in any wayOnce the plumbing company actually cleaned some of the pipes the system started working againThey have not cleaned all of the pipesThe pressure pump is not on, the cleaned pipes work fine, and the non-cleaned pipes do not work wellWhen the pressure pump is on, we get exactly the same resultWe have ordered additional parts required to correct the piece of the system which was not properly installedThe business has indicated that it will pay for these parts, will complete the repairs and will assess the pump which they are trying to force us to purchaseI have invited the business owner to meet me at the site and evaluate the situation for himselfIf he did so, he would not be making the claims he is making for the facts of the matter would be obviousHe has not responded to that offer thus far, I hope he will take me up on it I have ample pictures, video and correspondence to fully and thoroughly document these claimsThe matter should never have required this much effort on our part to get a response from the contractor or specifically the plumber, and if they had responded promptly and appropriately the issues would have been resolved long agoI have called the plumbing company on at least occasions to speak to the owneron each occasion, I was told he was not available but someone would call me backOn each occasion, I had to call back to get a response and did not receive a call back To date, I have not had a single business or courtesy call form the company owner to whom I paid so much and from whom the job is still not complete, leaving me with only a sense of waste and aggravation I now appreciate their promises by email to complete the job, but no longer have faith in their wordOnce the problems are fully addressed, financial matters reconciled, and the plumbing functions as intended, I will be happy to withdraw the complaint, and praise the company for completing the job Regards, [redacted] Complaint: [redacted]

Please see the attached pictures taken at the jobsite just before the guys left the jobsiteThere is no indication of our crew lifting a slabThere would be no reson or motive to do soThe ditch was properly backfilledYou can CLEARLY see in the picture that there is NOT a void under the slabThis picture speaks for itself and disputes the claims made against our company As far as the gas - our crew did not know where any leak wasThey smelled a gas smell & followed procedure by notifying *** [redacted] came out and replaced several services on the block after getting onsiteThey were original services to the homes We only excavated in the area show in the picturesThere were multiple leaks at several other neighbors housesIt is not possible for our crew to disturb or cause a leak in an area where we are not working close toIt is unfair to blame us for these leaks simply because we were there I left a message for customer todayI want to just explain this to customer and try to help her realize this was not our fault

We have tried our best to fix the problemAs of the other day we dropped the resized window off to customer and I emailed her to see if everything was okI have not heard back on that yet

Best Choice Plumbing and Heating has been getting away with shotty service for many years, They should not be at an A standing with the Revdex.comI know of several incidents of negative service and I agree that they create a bigger job than necessary, They stated on a better business complaint that they do not put a snake down a broken drain They put a snake down a drain in the Park Avenue broke it off and left it in the drain and left the property, A class action suit should be lodged against them for the criminal way they swindle the public and get away with itConsumers beware for your own goodCW

In response to some of the customers concerns we were hired by HIS Contractor to do the work and that contractor was present on at least occasion where plumber took apart faucet and cleaned debris and that was not the only time we cleaned it We did not leave without cleaning the rest of the faucetThe plumber was told to leave with abusive & foul languageCustomer could not wait any longer for us and demanded we leave. The problem with the pressure pump has yet to be determinedWe are still waiting on part to come in and then we will go out and complete the job and access the whole situationIf there was a mistake made we will fix the situationWe have been in business a long timeWe are a family owned company and will stand by our workWe are not going anywhereWe have been to the property several times & are more than willing to come backWe are just waiting on confirmation for the part to come inThe owner is not available at all timesHe is pulled in many directionsBut we are fully stafffed and can handle this issueI personally have talked with the customer a few times even before this complaint came in so I'm not sure where that came from that he was not getting called backMaybe not at the exact time he wantedBut there has been communication at all times between customer and the company. Please contact me for any more information that you will needThanks so much

This customer called us to their property asking for an estimate on replacing a curb trapWe gave her the estimate after observing her situation and she wanted to go ahead with the work She signed a contract and also signed an information flyer clearly explaining some issues that could occur when excavating and disturbing the ground and working with old pipesAgreeing that you fully understand all that is required as the homeowner We completed the job on 2/25/that we were contracted to doWe pulled permits with the City of [redacted] and had an inspection done at the time of work performedWe also have pictures of the job we did showing the hole open and the pipes exposed and you can clearly see there is no damage to water lineNothing is leaking If the customer is now having an issue with her water pressure that is a seperate issueWe worked on her sewer line and had nothing to do with the water lineHer sewer line was old and as stated by customer she understands that her pipes are old Customer did call us earlier in the month and we came out to check our work and we did clear the drain free of charge per customer request We cannot come out free of charge to re excavate job just to prove to her that we did not do anything to her pipe

When we originally did the work here we have pictures of the drain cover being back on when we leftShe is having a back up years later and calls another company not us to clear the drain and THEY tell her the pipe is too highIf the pipe was too high or didn't have a lid that would have been
visible years ago but we were never notified that this was a problemI explained this to her and told her that we can not be responsible for vent covers coming off years later but as a courtesy we would come and put a new on but as for clearing a drain there would be a chargeWe cannot come & clear a drain years later or anytime for free just because years ago you had work doneBackups could have come from anythingPeople flushing the wrong things or any other reasonShe did not like thatAs a result we ended up going out there and fixing her issue as to the pipe being too high and put new drain cover on and CLEARED HER DRAIN AS WELLI followed up with customer after work was done and she was happyPlease let me know if this complaint can be resolved and not publicly displayedThanks so much

Tell us why here...This customer had excavation work done with our companyWe have an information flyer explaining all the things that could occur during excavation including not only your sidewalk may be damaged but in some cases the neighbors sidewalk gets disturbed as wellIn that
case if the neighbor does not repair, you the customer are taking responsibiltyThe customer read & signed this information flyer. As far as the ***, We DID NOT HIT A GAS LINE, during the course of the job the workers smelled gas and NOTIFIED *** as that is proper procedureThere was no break from our companyWe did nothing wrongWe smelled gas and notified ***In the pictures you can see that the cement was cracked before we even started , and when we finished it was left in proper place and was not sunk downIf the cement sank it was because the customer had excavation work done and again that is mentioned in the information flyerWe did not do anything to customer cement.
This customer had work done on 3-3-We were never contacted till 4/22/and I told her I would have my cement guy come out and look at it next week and give her an good price to fix her cement and I called her today with the price after my cement guy went out and she said she already had the work done
Please review this and contact me for any further information

As explained beforeCustomer called us out to give estimate on curb trap because she had *** *** out and they unclogged her drain but told her she needed a curb trap replaced - it backed up again so she called us to give her an estimate on the curb trap. We came and did that after we assessed the problemShe wanted to get the work doneShe signed the contract and we performed the work on her curb trap onlyWe have pictures during the job that water line was not leaking at the the time of our workWe pulled permits with city and have job inspected by a city inspectorWe backfilled the job and everything was completeCustomer called months later saying she had low water pressureWe came out to check our work and assess the problem and our plumber determined that her water line needs to be replacedIt has nothing to do with our workCustomer did sign an information flyer which clearly explains that sometimes when pipes are old and excavation is taken place and pipes are fragile and disturbed a leak may occur or an additional pipe may need to be replaced which would not be Best Choice Plumbing's responsibiltyWE explained to customer that we did come out and check our work it has nothing to do with our work it is her water lineWe cannot redig the job just for customer to look it and see that it is her water linePlease let me know if there is any other way we can be of assistanceThanks so much! I can provide pictures and signed contract if needed

Please see attached contract signed by the customer which states in detail the repairs included and the prices quoted.Repair of the tub faucet was not agreed on or included. Please note the original price quoted was $and discount was $( 16% discount ) This customer also
delivered a DVD to our office threatening to slander our company on social media and TV news if his demands were not metDo you have any recommendation on what recourse we have if this is done?We will email a copy of the DVD if you would like.We charge by the job as stated in the contract not by the hourHowever, there also were materials purchased and the overhead of our trucks, office staff, insurances, ectthat the customer forgot to factor into HIS plumber hourly rate that he came up with

I will be doing business with Best Choice again They were on time and very helpful

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Just to note, I heard from the office manager on 11/19/that the plumber came to my home on 11/to replace the window. I responded to the office manager on 11/notifying her that the window was indeed replaced and she replied that same day thanking me for my patience.

The original paperwork ( see attached ) given to the customer prior to the begining of job explains the posiibility of storm water entering the basement after an excavation jobIt also explains the process & time frame of cement repairsWeather and the holidays were a part of the delayOur
crew cleaned up all of the water & mud that entered the basementWe offered $for the throw carpets that we removed as well as the damaged laminate floor to try to resolve the situation & keep the customer satisfiedOur offer still stands.
We have been in contact with this customer the whole time, especially the Operations Manager and the Office ManagerAny questions please direct them directly to them so we can handle this quickly and efficientlyThank you

I understand the customers frustration as her paperwork does said cement in 2 weeks. Normally we say 3-4 weeks just because with weather conditions sometimes the 2 weeks gets pushed back a lil bit as certain weather conditions do not allow us to cement some days. The customer was on our cement route...

so when she called we would confirm that she was on list but we did not have a definate day. We DID NOT  AVOID handling her complaint, we handled in the best way we could and that was to confirm that yes you are on the schedule and we will make the notes that you are calling and want this done ASAP. The cement guy who is a totally different crew then the crew who did the job did go the wrong [redacted] and was at total opposite end of city with wet cement so I explained the situation , apologized and told her we would not be out that day because the cement would start to dry by the time we went to her house. That was not excuses. Obviously, cement cannot be done in rain so on those days the cement list of people have to wait and it gets pushed back another day. We charged her credit card the full amount because the PLUMBING WORK was done.... Balance is due when plumbing work is complete. The cement gets done after that - after the ground has settled. She has used us on multiple occasions so she knows that we are a reputable company , we have been in business a long time and we do not want to make customers unhappy. Unfortunately sometimes things happen unplanned and this took a lil longer than originally thought. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much.
