Review: I brought a JCrew dress into the store on 2/**/14 to be altered. It needed to be taken in quite a bit on the top and we spent some time taking measurements. I picked the dress up in the evening of 2/**/14 and took it home, only to try it on and realize that it had been altered nearly 3 inches too much and no longer zipped up. I went back at 10AM on 2/**/14 and asked for a refund and to see the tailor, but there was only an assistant on hand who was unable to help me. I was forced to go to another tailor to seek help, as this was a timely manner and I needed the dress that evening for a wedding. The new repair is $120, more than the original cost of the dress. I went back to Betty Brite in the afternoon and requested a refund for their alteration ($45), the new alteration ($120) and the cost of the dress that they had essentially ruined ($109). The new repair required the tailor to insert mismatching pieces of fabric and while it is wearable it is not the same. Betty Brite refused to refund me any money and asked to see the dress so they could see where the tailor is off, which I was agreeable to, but they said they would only be willing to refund the cost of their $45 alteration. I would like a full refund for at least the two alterations, if not the dress as well. Review: On 5/21/15, I dropped off 4 pair pants (one needing repair) and 3 shirts. I'd prepaid for the services ~ $24.20. Ticket indicated cleaning would be ready for pickup on 5/22/15 after 4:00pm. My wife went by to pick up cleaning on the 22nd and was told it would not be ready until the following week because the repair required more time and it was a holiday weekend. I returned on 6/01/15 to pickup it up and was told the only thing there was the one pair of pants that was repaired. They are now claiming the other items had already been picked up. Their log book does not show any record of the clothes being picked up. We still have the cleaning ticket, which is normally turned in at the time of pickup. The company refuses to give us the owner's contact information; owner refuses to meet with us. They indicated they have no intentions of further action.Desired Settlement: We would to be compensated for the lost items.

I took two newly purchased sport jackets to have the sleeves shotened.I was quoted a pricetold of forty dollars to have them done I recieved a reciept for the amount qouted.I pitold to come back the following monday to pick themup.I returned on tutwo days esday to pick them up,I gave thof 87 em my reciept and credit card to pay for them. two days later I checked my bank balance and noticed a charge of eighty dollars.I returned to the cleaners and asked why iwas over charged.he had already taken my reciept when ipicked them up, he told me it cost ffortyorty dollars per jacket.but my reciept said forty which I did not have.I ,I am 87 yrs old with bad eyeste.I feel iwas taken advantage of and icould do nothing about it.
