I am rejecting this response because:the charges on the website state per tow, for storage fee, and for the gate feeWe were charged for the tow, for storage, and twice for gate feesAccording to their website my fee would have been Now, I was charged Its dollars, I get itBut what is advertised should be what I am being chargedSo in the future maybe the employees need to be reminded of the fees or if the prices are what I was charged, the website needs to be changed so someone else doesn't go through the same misunderstanding as we did

This vehicle had a permit , But it was not properly displayedEvery permit parking violation tow has the same policy available to the ownerThey are informed when they call to pick up their car “If you can show us your permit from outside of car without opening your door we will release it for free” This owner could not do this and went in the car and found it on the floor , clearly not visibleIts the tenants responsibility ( not ours ) to make sure permit is properly displayed @ gate fees of dollars each were charged as owner didn’t want to pay and had to make second appointment to retrieve his car There is no hourly charge.Gate fee is charged for after hour releases Regards, Brian @ BG AND SON

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke to the ***'s store security and was told they called B G and sons out for a truck that was parked in their lot that truck was not towed it was still in their lot Wednesday morningBut they towed my carI get that they didn't know I had a placard but I did and had it in the carI think they could have gave me a break on the fees since they kept my car overnight and my Mother was without her walker for the rest of the nightI spoke to the store manager and she checked with her staff and none of them knew anything about them towing my car, she also said the sign that is posted about unauthorized cars being towed pertains to cars that are parked overnightI just don't think it's right that my car was towedIf the police would of saw my car parked without the placard they would of just ticketed me they would not of had my car towed

Our rates are adjusted all the time Havent updated website is all.! She waa charged the rate POSTED AT THE WINDOW WHERE SHE PAID!. Not the website rates!!

Cant respond to this due to insufficient information No Vehicle info, no name of property they were towed from…etc Brian @ Bg And Son

Please be advised again, that we CANNOT and WILL NOT show or release the info on who signed for the towThis info is required by law to be redacted from the tow invoice pursuent to CVC *** This law was enacted years ago due to people seeking retribution for their cars getting towedWE have witnessed this happening many times in the past where managers had their cars keyed and tires slashed If you wish to take us to court ,that is your perogitive Know this though, you will be counter sued for dollars an hour for wasting my time Check that CVC code I gave you Regards , **

*** , or who it may concern,We cannot respond to this complaint as there is not enough info hereThe receipt you have from picking up your vehicle has an invoice number we needAnd on that receipt you will notice there is no authorized signature for reasons(1) All contracted properties
do not require authorization for fire lane towing .All other violations you mentioned do require this , but the signature is redacted on your copy because of CVC code People love to blame someone besides them self for not following the parking rules and getting towedthis law prevents them from seeking retribution from the person authorizing the tow. If you need more detail im going to need the invoice # or make and model , date and time , location of this tow. Regards , Bg

Handicap placard was not properly displayed so how would anyone know that she is parked legally in this space, provided for disabled people? Consider replacing placard with handicap license plates We are sorry for any inconvenience , but we are enforcing the parking rules according to
our contract

Dont park in someones assigned parking spot!….especially apt maintenance guys spot

In response to this complaint when we release a car that was towed for a permit parking violation we give the customer a chance  to show us the permit without opening the door. The vehicle will be released for free if they can do this.  This has been our policy for many years and the...

management of our contracted properties all know this  if your permit is not properly displayed you are subject to be towed. It is the tenants responsibllity to display permits in the window and not falling on the floor where it cant be seen. This towing policy is in place to ensure the tenants have parking when they get home.  Thanks and regards,   Bg

I sent in the receipt from Bg and Son. All the information was on the receipt from the company and also here are the picture where the car was parked....

And where the time not to park there. My car was towed from that spot on a Friday late night Sat early morning. I also contacted the District Attorney office. My name is [redacted]. Hampton Square is the name where my car got towed from. [redacted]

our website has been updated as the City of Stockton had a cost of living increase to the towing rates. My employees are not rude unless they are being treated rudely. Respect gets respect.  Parking illegally and getting towed can be frustrating.   **

Consumer states that the business has contacted him and they were able to reach a mutual agreement.

This vehicle had a permit , But it was not properly displayed. Every permit parking violation tow has the same policy available to the owner. They are informed when they call to pick up their car.    “If you can show us your permit from outside of car without opening your door we will...

release it for free”    This owner could not do this and went in the car and found it on the floor , clearly not visible. Its the tenants responsibility ( not ours ) to make sure permit is properly displayed.  @ gate fees of 90 dollars each were charged as owner didn’t want to pay and had to make second appointment to retrieve his car.   There is no hourly charge.Gate fee is charged for after hour releases.   Regards,  Brian @ BG AND SON

I am rejecting this response because:the charges on the website state 185 per tow, 53 for storage fee, and 92.50 for the gate fee. We were charged 190 for the tow, 53 for storage, and 95 twice for gate fees. According to their website my fee would have been 423.00. Now, I was charged 433.00. Its 10 dollars, I get it. But what is advertised should be what I am being charged. So in the future maybe the employees need to be reminded of the fees or if the prices are what I was charged, the website needs to be changed so someone else doesn't go through the same misunderstanding as we did.

I am rejecting this response because:...

You have failed to address most of my complaints. The updating of the website is too little too late but it is not the only problem. I was not rude to your employee, in fact I was very polite especially given the circumstances. I was firm in voicing my complaint yes, but I was not rude. He is the one who got defensive and only stopped being rude when I made it clear that I did not directly blame him. I pointed out that your website claims 24 hour seven day release of vehicles. He denied it and I used my phone to access the site and show him, he dismissed it and denied that that was the policy. So your employee and your website gave me conflicting information. This is important because I needed my car and went to pick it up right away when I found out it had been towed. I was denied access to my car and was forced to wait. This alone is quite the problem, but you failed to explain the worst of your company's actions: your illegal tow. In order to tow my vehicle, whether I was in violation of the parking rules or not, you needed written consent from the owner of the apartment complex. You are legally required to present it to me before demanding payment, and it is illegal to tow a vehicle without following this process. You did none of these things and you are therefore in violation of California towing laws. Any pre-written agreement with the property owners is invalid under these circumstances. Agreement or not, you need written consent from the owner at the time of the tow. You did not present it because you did not have it. I have read the other complaints about your business submitted to the Revdex.com, and they all tell a similar story. You are willfully refusing to change your policy and are a predatory towing company. You hope that most people will be uninformed and be unable to do anything about your illegal activity. Thankfully I have the tools and evidence to successfully beat you in court and if the charge does not completely go away I will see you there. Losing in court can be frustrating, paying fines for breaking the law even more so, don't tow people illegally next time.

Review: I was parked at [redacted] in Stockton,Ca in a handicap space I have a handicap placard but forgot to hang it from my rearview mirror, when I returned to where I parked my car was gone. I didn't know what had happened luckily someone told me it was towed. He said that they told it really quick. There are no signs saying that a car will be towed. So why are they able to do it. I don't understand how they can tow a car that belongs to a handicap person. My mother was with me who is also handicapped and walks with a walker it was in the trunk of my car. I was not able to get my car to the following so my Mother did not have her walker for the rest of the evening till the morning when I was able to pick it up.I was told by security they called them out about a truck that was parked there. I feel they towed my car because they knew it was quick money for them.I get that I forgot to hang my placard but I have a placard and it was in my car. I don't feel it should of been towed and I should of had to pay $238.00 to get it back.Desired Settlement: I feel I should have my $238.00 refunded to me.

Review: Employee was unprofessional, and didn't wait for a smaller payment when one could have been made.

Stockton Ca, XXXXX

Employee [redacted] was very rude, unprofessional, and careless. He couldn't take the time to tell me which company he was with and didn't even ask if I was the owner of the car. He just said it will be $92.00 to take the car off of the truck. He didn't offer me a chance to grab anything out of my car. He wouldn't explain what the fee would cover, and didn't give me a phone number or address of where I could find my car. I understand that yes my car would be towed, but when the owner runs out to get the car, with keys in hand the driver should be professional, and polite. He was disrespectful in his tone of voice and unhelpful. When he told me the fee would be $92.00 I ran into the house to grab money. By the time I was back he was pulling away.

So with no information and no car I had to lookup which company tows in the area. Once I called and found out fee information, the name of my driver, and when I could pick up my car I had a few more questions and the individual on the other side of the phone hung up on me, in mid-sentence. That is not how you do business. I am well aware that in this business there are a lot of upset customers, but I can assure you that there is no reason to hang up the phone on a customer. I expect the same amount of respect that I am showing the individual. I mean, after all, I did pay you $238. I think I deserve an extra minute on the phone.

When I came to pick up my car [redacted] mumbled and didn't speak clearly. I honestly questioned his sobriety. He got frustrated when I asked him to repeat himself. Which I only did so that I would know what he was asking me to do. His demeanor made me uncomfortable. He walked me into the low lit garage and didn't even show me where I could find my car. He just stood there and watched me. After getting my registration out of my car I told [redacted] he was making me uncomfortable. He asked what he was doing. I wasn't going to take the time to explain the situation to him, I just wanted to get out as soon as possible. The tone he used with me was almost a bark. When he asked for my driver's license it was still in the dark garage. He wouldn't let me leave the garage and hand it to him through the window, where all of my other transactions took place. That again made me nervous. You don't have a 110 pound young female follow a man twice her size into a low lit garage. Your garage should have better lighting it is unsafe. A business should legally be well-lit. I'm sure that your business has a policy on only letting the owner of the vehicle into the yard, which is reasonable, but you should also not design your storage area to make customers feel vulnerable, and unsafe when within.

Once my fine was paid I asked if he was the employee who towed my car. He said yes and I said I didn't appreciate the way he did business and he was extremely unprofessional. He said that he couldn't volunteer information to me. That is appalling. He also said that his boss had him on a time crunch. What kind of time crunch is so constraining that an individual can't even hand a person a business card. Or verbally communicate a business name and phone number or even address. When I expressed my concerns about his customer service to him he was very agitated and his body language did all but tell me to go [redacted] myself. His response was that the information is on the gate of the community, and on the side of the truck. I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to look at the side of the truck while I was running into the house to get money.

In conclusion, [redacted] is a very rude and unprofessional individual. He should not be agitated and hostile with customers. It is already a delicate situation and the business is gDesired Settlement: I would like to have the sum of $146.00 returned to me, due to the lack of patience the employee had for me to provide a $92.00 payment he said was required to simply unload my car, instead of the $238 fee I had to pay the next morning because the driver drove off before I could produce the money. I would also love to see your company conduct business professionally and with respect for their customers. No one deserves to be treated in the manner your employee treated me.

Review: On April 18, 2014 B G & Son wrongfully towed my 2001 Chevy Impala from the parking lot of my apartment complex. I called the office explaining that I have a permit to park in the lot & the manager explained to me that if I showed them proof that my car was not parked illegally I could get my car back without paying. I brought them the proof & the found a new excuse to try to keep my car! They said they owed my car because the tags were expired! They CAN NOT do that! They are not the police! In fact my cars tags were paid! I even received them in the mail a couple days after they towed my car! Now on top of them doing this illegal stuff to me, I was forced to pay $238 to get my car back!! I have two small children that I need my car for!! I've been trying to get my money that was wrongfully taken from me back, in doing that I reviewed the receipt & they put completely false information!!! Put that I was paying for a 2007 Red Poniac that was parked illegally in a fire lane!! I don't own or EVER owned that type of car!! I can't believe these people are trying to screw people like this!!! I want my money that they STOLE from me back!! & I want them to get in trouble for the scam & lies that the try to pull!! They should have their license revoked!! Stealing is AGAINST THE LAW!!!!Desired Settlement: I want my $238 that they STOLE from me back!! I want them to face disciplinary action for the scam, lies & money stealing that their doing to me!! I've already notified the police & they need to pay!

Response:

Scam, Lies And STOLE her money....Iam really tired of responding to people blaming US because their car gets towed because they didn't follow the parking rules. In this case the woman was towed for not having a parking permit on her vehicle. We have a clear PICTURE of this car with time and date stamp parked illegally in her apt complex. The picture is a close up of her window where she claims her permit was. She did not have current regist. or insurance and legally we need these items to release the car. We did give her the wrong papers to a different car by mistake and offered to give her correct papers when she came to pick up her other car that was towed for the same reason. Any questions , we are happy to help. ###-###-####

Review: FAILING TO PROVIDE ACCURATE AMOUNT DUE, REFUSAL TO OBTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY FAILURE TO PROVIDE INFORMATION IN ORDER TO RUN THE BILL UP.

VENETIAN PARK APARTMENTS DID AN ILLEGAL TOW, THIS TOW COMPANY TOWED MY VEHICLE WHICH BELONGS TO MY DAUGHTER, REFUSED TO LET HER GET HER PERSONAL BELONGINGS, SUCH AS HER WALLET AND SHE HAS A TODDLER. REFUSED TO GIVE HER INFORMATION REGARDING THE VEHICLE, AND APPARENTLY THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE FOR BOTH COMPANIES. THIS WAS NOT A IMPOUND BUT A TOW OFF OF PRIVATE PROPERTY INITIATED ILLEGALLY BY A MANAGER ON A TENANT. THIS COMPANY HAS GIVEN DIFFERENT AMOUNTS DUE AND REQUESTED INFORMATION THAT IS NOT REQUIED FOR A PRIVATE TOW. WHEN SPEAKING WITH THIS COMPANY NO ONE KNOWS WHO OWNS THE COMPANY, WHO THE OWNER IS AND THE BEST PART IS, "WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CALL BUT YOUR PHONE DOES NOT RECIEVED BLOCKED NUMBERS" THIS IS A KNOWINGLY FALSE STATEMENT. THE LONGER THESE DODGING ATTEMPTS CONTINUE THEY RAISE THE BILL. THEY STATED THAT AFTER THREE DAYS OF HAVING THE CAR THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL 70.00 PENALTY ON TOP OF THE DAILY STORAGE. THEY QUOTED PRICES THAT CONFLICT TO THE PRICES LISTED ON THEIR SITE.. THEY ARE COMMITING FRAUD AND EXTORTION.Desired Settlement: TO LOSE THEIR CONTRACT WITH THE STOCKTON PD AND OR SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT, TO RETRIEVE THE VEHICLE UNDAMAGED WITH ALL BELONGINGS AND IN THE CONDITION THEY WERE IN. WE WILL PAY THE FEES, BUT THE FEES THAT ARE ACTUALLY DUE....AND WE WANT THEM IN WRITING.
