Dear Mr. [redacted] (of Round Rock, TX) -You recently brought your vehicle to us for diagnosis of a check engine light concern. After pulling your vehicle into the shop, our technician hooked your vehicle up to the GM approved diagnostic tool and was able to determine the source for the warning...
light: an O2 sensor had failed. Further diagnosis revealed black, carbon build up on the throttle plate ‘butterfly’ valve once the air intake hose was disconnected from the housing. Carbon soot in this area is indicative of similar carbon buildup in the intake and engine injector systems. For higher mileage vehicles (80k) such as yours this is a common concern and in most cases this buildup can be significantly reduced by performing an engine induction system cleaning. This service can help protect the other O2 sensors on your vehicle from also failing. At this point - We are waiting on you sir to give authorization for repair or decline these recommended services at which point you will owe a diagnostic fee. There you have it: fault, cause & correction. One more thing friend ---Since 1971 the Hewlett family has provided honest, reliable auto sales & service to the people of Central Texas. We are proud of the thousands of families that have put their trust in us and are prouder still of the almost 300 folks that we have the chance to work with daily in our businesses. You brought your vehicle to our place of business and asked for our help in diagnosing a problem and offering a plausible solution. This is exactly what we have done. We have given you no reason to question our honesty, ethics or character. If you cannot appreciate our brand of customer service then you are reminded that you have choices as to where to spend your vehicle dollars.Mike HewlettOwner/Partner[redacted] Direct

I am rejecting this response because: Expectations were set by a reputable party at the dealership. A voicemail was left directly for the customer in response to the concerns and now the dealership is not wanting to be held accountable. I should not have to contact [redacted] nor Revdex.com to handle this situation to begin with as a customer and have utilized a lot of time dealing with this issue as it is.
Regards,
