Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Upon contacting the HVAC company that came out to do the inspection on 1/20/and determined that the ductwork was the root of the issues and needed to be redone because even with a new a/c unit, the improper duct work would just overwork the unit again and cause the same problemsThe HVAC company said that it had been turned over to the builder, but the builder did not contact us to let us know anything, which is making me feel that it will not be handled as promised as this is in fact a builder issue for not properly doing the duct work per code Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Our roofing company Linear Roofing has provided further documentation to support that WR Roofing is not following building codesOur roofing company Linear Roofing has provided information that supports that the sales Representative for Atlas that provides shingles for Bloomfield did not provide accurate informationLinear Roofing and General Contracting also uses Atlas Shingles as a supplier and is working with Atlas leadership to further review the information that was provided by their sales representativeLinear Roofing is a licensed contractor and has provided their licenseLinear Roofing has provided further information supporting that #pound felt is not appropriate use for valley liningOn top of this they have also supplied Atlas Roofing Corporations specifications for installing a valley which states that their own specifications require Ice and Water ShieldFurther more all of the letters that were supplied by Bloomfield from suppliers of shingles reference that #pound felt on "New Construction" is common practiceCommon practice is not up to building code or Atlas Roofing own specifications for lining in the valleysThe building code does not state that "New Construction" is exempt for building codes as the letters that were supplied would lead one to believe I have provided a copy of Linear Roofing's license, which Atlas' representative informed was not licensed, also included Atlas specifications for installing valley lining, and finally a letter from Linear Roofing providing rebuttal to the information supplied by Bloomfield Bloomfield Homes needs to take responsibility for the leak that was caused in our house from the improper installation of the valleyOur expected remedy is that Bloomfield pay for the repair of the valleys on our house not installed to building code or Atlas Specification as well as the interior damage caused in our house Regards, [redacted]

We are in receipt of the response from the home owner on the above noted complaint dated 2/22/ At this point it appears we may need to agree to disagree with the homeowner on how some of the items may be repaired per the warranty Please note from our earlier correspondence, workers were not allowed to complete items being addressed per the warranty

We are still waiting on a complete report from the HVAC company to make sure the problems noted by Mr*** are addressed accordingly It is our understanding that deficiencies were noted and we will be getting back with Mr*** to go over the findings and to address the concerns Such repairs will then be repaired by the vendor that was sent out and will be covered by Bloomfield Homes under the limited warranty on the home Our service manager has been in contact with Mr*** and will continue to keep him apprised of findings

The installation of franchise utilities, such as the internet, is controlled by the providers of such servicesThe installation delays are unfortunate, and we understand the frustrationAs a developer/builder, we pass along information about franchise utilities to our consumers based on the
information that we have been provided

Dear Ms*** We are responding to the above claim dated September 14, 2015. We inquired again of the homeowner and received additional information in regards to the damaged air conditioner at her home. Upon further review of the pictures, and discussions with the homeowner and our
field teams, it appears the damage may have occurred as a result of work on the adjacent home. Of all the homes we have built, this is the first time this issue has come up in regards to a damaged air conditioner unit resulting from foundation work on the adjacent home We take great pride in working to resolve customer and community concerns as they come up. We apologize that this one did not get resolved sooner. We will be mailing a check to the homeowner this week for $1,to reimburse them for damages. We are also addressing some additional landscaping concerns brought up during our meeting. If you should have any questions, or need to contact me, please call me at *** Sincerely, *** *** *** *** ** *** Bloomfield Homes LP

Bloomfield Homes loves to sell homes to individuals that will call a community home for many years to come. It is a very personal and involved process and one that our teams take very seriously during the entire process with every owner knowing that this relationship will continue
for many years. We realize life happens every day and possibly a life situation, job etccould have impacted how one of our consumers desires to utilize their home Once a consumer closes on a home though, we have no legal rights or obligations to assess whether the home is lived in by the owner or rented Some communities may have restrictions on renting, but this community does not have such a restrictionPlease note that the form the consumer is referencing regarding days and one year is a mortgage created form that was probably required for the type of loan selected by this consumer, and is not mandated by Bloomfield Homes Tell us why here

I have attached our response to ID ***.Please call me if you have any questions.***Bloomfield Homes LPPresident ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:My complaint is regarding the unethical and unfair sales tactics your sales agent is using when selling homes in *** *** knowing that before we purchased our home that *** *** already was aware of homeowners having an issue getting high speed internet should have informed us BEFORE we signed contract to buy our home at *** *** *** She did not inform us but actually gave us brochures for *** *** ***, cable tv and home phone She also provided us a sheet as part of the new homeowner packet that included the "available" Utilities for our home which included *** and ***Why not warn the homeowner to let them know that even though you're advertising that high speed internet access is available that it may not be available to them because of their property lot address or whatever the reason might beWhy are you telling homeowners after the fact (contractor of Bloomfield - *** ***) told us at the day of our final walk through which was only a few days before our closing date that we would have no access to high speed internetCome to find out today that your sales agent to this day is still not warning customers of this issue especially for new builds by Bloomfield Homes LP located at *** and *** *** *** *** I have spoken to both homeowners and they were never advised of this issueThis is obvious proof that your sales agents will not provide the information needed to allow the potential homebuyers to make a well-informed decision before buying a major purchase like a homeWe can't work from home because of this issue as we are in need of high speed internet We can't attend online schooling to pursue further degrees without high speed internetDSL is not high speed internetIt is very obvious that Bloomfield Homes LP withholds pertinent information to protect their commissions and profit at the expense of the customer It's obvious that some homeowners wouldn't buy a home here if they knew before hand that there will be no high speed internet available for their new home

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   However, I would like to wait until they have fulfilled the proposed resolution before this case is closed.  The reason why I filed the complaint is becausethis Company repeatedly avoided the situation at hand and kept giving me the run around. Although I accept the resolution, I do not totally trust the company until the matter is actually resolved and not proposed.   I thank the Revdex.com for their successful efforts in securing a satisfactory response.  Due to the nature of my complaint, I would like to reserve closing the matter until all the proposals  have been delivered.

I have checked with our field personnel in regards to the consumers complaints on the carpet and the driveway and determined that these items were addressed during the limited warranty period.   Please note that this home closed in August of 2013 and the items noted in the compliant have...

a limited warranty that extends during the first year of homeownership only.  ·         Carpet –  The last service repair noted was September 2014.  Per the limited warranty, floor covering is covered in various aspects for the first year only and wear and tear is not covered. ·         Driveway – if a driveway has a crack larger than ¼” in year one, it can be repaired as noted per the limited warranted. Upon a recent observation of the driveway the cracks noticed did not appear to be even a ¼”, over 2.5 years later.       Per our review of this complaint, it should be noted that the claims being made are  outside the scope of the limited warranty on this home and our personnel addressed all such items during the applicable warranty period.                  [redacted]

We are in receipt of the response from the home owner on the above noted complaint dated 2/22/16.       At this point it appears we may need to agree to disagree with the homeowner on how some of the items may be repaired per the warranty.    Please note from our earlier correspondence, workers were not allowed to complete items being addressed per the warranty.

Dear Ms[redacted]We are responding to the above claim dated February 5, 2016. We have been working to address itemsbrought up during the warranty processes. In regards to allegations made by the consumer I will· address the most significant to assist you in understanding our position:• New cabinets-...

brand new cabinets were installed in the home- not used- the cabinetrepresentative was told they loved the cabinets after install and a week later they were notallowed in the house to assess allegations on 2/9/16. We have confirmed that brand newcabinets were installed.• Granite- [redacted] attempted to fix the concerns and was denied on 2/9/16.• Windows- [redacted] windows sent a representative out and all the windows/screens are workingwithin industry standards• Dishwasher was replaced with a brand new [redacted] dishwasher• Bath vanity tops -vendor was not allowed to repair on 2/9/16.• Doors, paint overspray, caulk, miscellaneous cosmetic items- all of these items have beenaddressed as we are informed of them• This homeowner unfortunately experienced a rodent in one of the walls after they moved in.We removed the rodent, replaced all of the drywall and bathroom areas that the homeownerwas concerned with. We went the extra distance to replace the entire bathroom, removeadditional sheetrock and to redo tile well outside the area impacted. This was excessive, but weworked to make the customer happy. We did not need to replace the tub, vanity and tile per ourwarranty, we did this to as an extra because they asked us to.• The challenge has been the homeowner's use of language, adding of items never seen beforeand the mistreatment of both employees and contractors. Work can be performed andaccepted and all of a sudden it's horrible and broken and must be fixed again. We agree thatsome additional rework was experienced, but the use of bad language and not allowing theworkers to perform repairs as governed by the warranty on the home has impacted the abilityto get this home done. At this time, per the attached letter, workers and employees will not goback into this home unless the homeowner commits to treating individuals properly. We take great pride in working to resolve customer and community concerns as they come up. Thisproject has taken the time and efforts of two of our employees almost a month to address. We have[redacted]1:had representatives walk this home and the quality is acceptable and in conformance with industrystandards. We continue to be in a position to honor the Limited Warranty on this home.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Upon contacting the HVAC company that came out to do the inspection on 1/20/17 and determined that the ductwork was the root of the issues and needed to be redone because even with a new a/c unit, the improper duct work would just overwork the unit again and cause the same problems. The HVAC company  said that it had been turned over to the builder, but the builder did not contact us to let us know anything, which is making me feel that it will not be handled as promised as this is in fact a builder issue for not properly doing the duct work per code.
