Blue Leaf Estate Auctions Reviews (46)

In response to [redacted]’s complaint, we find it to be outlandish that we would be accused of vandalizing this home. To be asked to pay for damages for a property that is not there anymore is unfathomable. This unethical request by [redacted] would be against the law. When we conducted [redacted] auction, there were neighbors coming over inquiring about the sale, inquiring about doors, lighting, etc. One neighbor was attempting to take bricks and told us he had permission from [redacted]. We asked him not to remove the bricks as we felt it would be unsafe for the many people that were there. We have witnesses that were at the sale and can attest to the facts stated in this response. The copy of the contract from Blue Leaf Auctions states that the house fixtures can be sold, however, we chose not to offer any attached fixtures for sale. [redacted] herself did say that she would be surprised if there was $500 worth of stuff in the house and she would like for the check to go to the Phoenix Boys Choir. When [redacted] found out the amount sold was more than what she thought, she asked the check to be sent to her instead, leaving the Choir in the cold. We hope you can see, that this is simply a ploy by [redacted], using whatever means necessary to not only defraud an insurance company of over $5000, but also to extort even more monies from Blue Leaf Auctions. To accuse one of totally false claims just so they can benefit monetarily is truly saddening. All of her neighbors knew she was leaving, and I can only imagine this property peaking their interest and them possibly wanting a piece of history before its destruction. We are not in business to keep anyone’s money or to defraud anyone out of $600 measly dollars. [redacted] has received her proceeds from the sale of her personal property and we pray that the Revdex.com will find in our favor that there are $0 dollars due to [redacted] from Blue Leaf.

We spoke with Mr. [redacted] to find out why he submitted this complaint. We asked if he was unhappy about anything we did and he said no. He flat out said that if we don't pay him $500 that he will post bad stuff about our business. He is trying to extort and blackmail us for money. So Better Business...

Bureau, what do we do from here. This seems pretty unfair to me.

Response to Blue Leaf's statement.   Blue Leaf will be written as BL, and Rowan H[redacted] as RH.RH says 2 checks were sent from BL.  I have rec'd nothing.  In June I called BL's rep, Allen P[redacted] and left him a message---no response.  In July I called the office ([redacted], the number on the BL website).  RH passed me on to Stephanie.  She said she would look into it and call me back.  RH says she sent out another check that day;  I've never received it (contrary to RH's statement to Revdex.com, where he accuses me of hanging onto it for nefarious purposes). I did not receive a call back from BL, either.  My daughter put a post on BL's Facebook page on 8/27 saying BL was taking advantage of a 78 yo widow.  That brought a response; Sunday , 8/28/16 at 4 pm I rec'd a call from RH.RH accused accused my neighbors of being responsible for the theft and vandalism, but that it was no concern of his because the house has been demolished.  RH mentioned I told Allen P[redacted] the house would be demolished.  True; it's well known Paradise Valley houses of 1960s vintage often are.  I did not, however, give BL leave to do the demolishing.  I suggested to RH he contact his insurance company (A.P[redacted] told me BL is insured when I talked to him in April).  RH insisted that it is irrelevant since the house has been demolished and there are no signs left of vandalism.  He then said he would go around and question my neighbors as to what I had told them they could take.  Actually, I had given items to my neighbors, some had to be picked up, and I told them that it had to be done before 5/17 because after that everything would belong to BL.  By 5/15, everyone had picked up whatever they'd been promised.   It is hardly likely my PV neighbors vandalized my house; one is hard put to visualize a partner in a prestigious law firm going over to steal my toilets and cause all that destruction. At one point in the conversation RH accused me of ''losing the checks or misplacing them; you could, you know, be a little bit senile. After all, you are 78.''    Not a chance.BL  was to be at the house 5/19--5/23.  The destruction happened at that time, as my realtor came by on 5/25 to put out the garbage cans and saw a mess outside.  He and the new owner came by 5/26, at which time the realtor took photos when they both went inside the house.  There was no sign of forced entry, so it was obviously done while BL had the key and the house was open.  I suspect BL's advertising may have attracted some unsavory people who came over, with not enough people or any interest in protecting the house, or BL didn't actually hold a auction, loaded what RH wanted into a truck, and left people behind who were supposed to clean up but did other things, including eating and leaving trash, bags and containers from the food all over the place.   If the new owner had any thoughts about renting out the house for a while, it was not possible after  all the destruction.  RH says the vandalism  can't be attributed to BL since the house has now been demolished and all evidence gone.  He seems to be confusing destruction and demolition .  The vandalism and destruction  occurred between 5/19---5/23; demolition didn't take place until July.  The photos I will be sending were taken 5/26.  May is not July.  A proper business would have promptly sent me a check in May, along with an itinerary of what was sold, for how much, and BL's take from it.  I have had no trouble with my mail since moving to the Duluth area.  If I'd received a check I would have cashed it promptly to make certain it was valid, and then sent him the $5595.00 bill from the new owner, along with the pictures.    When I talked to RH I asked 3 times how much the check was for.  He could never tell me the amount, although he was calling from the 0865 phone, and Stephanie was with him.  I will be sending copies of the photographs, the bill from the new owner, and the original agreement with BL signed (illegibly) by Allen P[redacted], their agent,  by regular US Mail.  I would appreciate their being kept in the files of this complaint.  Unless the check for goods sold, along with a check for $5595.00 for the destruction arrives, this complaint will stand as far as I am concerned.

If I could give Blueleaf auction 0 stars I would. They sold my moms stuff for next to nothing a 2007 Chevy Colorado for 1500 $ and a 2006 Buick LaSabre for 500$. Neither had many miles on them. There where many other valuable in the house, but we received 2,800. They did some minor cleaning of the house. We live out of town so I believe that is why they took advantage. Some of my moms friends stopped by and they told them there was nothing for sale and were rude to them. The sale was from 7:00 until noon on Sunday. When many people are at church.

I have attended many Blue Leaf auctions and had a pleasant experience as well as a lot of fun. The staff is very professional and a great help to anyone needing auction services or who is attending an auction and has questions. I enjoy their professionalism and will attend as many of their auctions as I possibly can. Come join the fun.

The best company I interviewed. Hands down!!! Blue leaf estate auctions was upfront and honest in explaining the real values certain items in my moms estate. I spoke and met with four estate sale companies in Phoenix and found that some would say anything just to get the business, including telling me that values were much higher than they really were. Even I knew this wasn't true. Blue leaf estate auction came in with truth and some times bitter, but true. No one buys China and a box TV is a boat anchor. Thank you Blue Leaf Estate Auctions I recommend you to all.

In response to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint; he contacted us as he wanted to hold an estate auction. He stated that the City of Phoenix was after him to clean up his yard and he was running out of time. He had A LOT of stuff in his yard (kind of like a junk yard), with miscellaneous scrap metal, wood,...

piles of car parts, tools, furniture, appliances and random items. A couple of our regular buyers offered, prior to the sale, to go out and assist him with his things. They spent a week organizing his belongings, cutting his lawn, pulling weeds and moving heavy items to form walkways for buyers to get through his yard. These gentlemen did this out of the goodness of their hearts as the house was overwhelmingly unorganized.

When the sale took place Mr. [redacted] was present when we sold the motorcycle. We asked him if the bike was ok to sell at the price which was offered; he approved, the sale amount was $290.00. We asked Mr. [redacted] if he had the title to the motorcycle and he said yes, it was in the house somewhere and he had to look for it. The buyer was leery to purchase the unit without a title, because he knew how hard it would be to get a bonded title. I did allow the buyer to pay for half of the purchased price of the bike and he would pay the remainder when the title was produced. I told [redacted] that we would like for him to look for the title and the buyer would be back the next day to would pay for the remainder of the bike. The following day [redacted] still could not find the title. We told Mr. [redacted] that we would give him a week to find the title and the buyer agreed. The title was never produced and we did not hear from Mr. [redacted]

about it until he filed this complaint.

After the sale was completed Mr. [redacted] still had a lot of stuff on his property that he was not willing to part with or sell in the sale. He felt it was best that he hang on to these items. We are not a clean-up service, we are an auction company, and we liquidate not clean up. Mr. [redacted] was complaining that his yard still needed to be cleaned up. Again, one of our buyers offered to assist Mr. [redacted] with a dumpster (which is not cheap)! [redacted] also offered to assist with $75 towards the cost of the dumpster as well, to help out so that the yard would get cleared up before the City of Phoenix came back to inspect. Our buyer ended up spending over $1000.00 (one thousand dollars) to help Mr. [redacted] clean up his yard, this buyer expected and received nothing in return.

The day after the sale, [redacted] gave [redacted] a $1000.00 cash advance since the sale had not been finalized and all the credit card payments had not hit our bank account. We did give Mr. [redacted] a summary print out of what sold and the total amount. Mr. [redacted]’s sale was held on 3/15/2014 and 3/16/2014, and on 3/19/2014 [redacted] came to one of our other auctions and purchased approximately $1400.00 worth of items. We allowed for him to take the items and not pay. We would deduct this amount from the proceeds of his sale. It took me two weeks to reconcile the sale, post payments and make sure all expenses were deducted as his sale was extremely large spanning over two days. We did cut Mr. [redacted] a check for his sale, which included the full payment for the motorcycle. I felt since I made the decision to allow the buyer to pay half of the purchase price of the motorcycle at the time he checked out, due to no title. It would be easier to pay Mr. [redacted] the full amount now and when the title was provided, I would collect from my buyer. Since the title was not provided in a week, I did not feel it was fair to collect from the buyer, yet we still gave Mr. [redacted] the full amount of the bike.

We appreciated Mr. [redacted]’s business and enjoyed the sale, however the sentiment does not seem to be reciprocated. We did everything that we said we were going to do. I did provided Mr. [redacted] a breakdown of the sale, with prices, in addition to a check for $250 per his request in this complaint. As a business owner, I felt that I want every customer of ours be satisfied with the work and service that we provided.

Thank You,

Blue Leaf Auctions

Blue Leaf handled our estate auction in December; very professional, organized and efficient! Many skeptical observers of the sale were also impressed. The staff made a potentially difficult experience for our family, actually enjoyable!

Before I knew about the estate auction process, I cleaned out my Grandmother’s house for almost three months straight. There were so many things that we threw out and even donated to Good Will. When I called Blue Leaf Estate Auction, Roland answered the phone and was ready to help answer all of my questions. He asked me if I had thrown anything away and I regretfully said yes. I didn’t realize that what we think may be “trash” can actually be valuable or just valuable to someone else. Roland explained that he had someone available right away to come and look at the remainder of things I had left to make sure it was enough for the estate sale.

When I met with Stephanie, she was extremely kind and caring. She assured me that we had enough things still to have the sale, went over the entire process with me, and scheduled my estate sale much sooner than what I had expected. I was happy about that. She was very prompt with sending me all of the information over email that same day as well as scheduling a day to come back and take pictures. The picture process took less than an hour and she took a lot of pictures to help the estate sale be more beneficial. She also explained to me that I was more than welcome to attend the sale.

On the day of the estate sale, Blue Leaf had already arrived at my Grandmother’s house before me and I was early! They were so efficient and nice. The process of the sale went smoothly and I enjoyed seeing what an estate auction was all about. Almost everything sold and was completely removed from the house the same day. I could tell that Roland, the auctioneer, was very experienced and good at what he does. He was also very kind to everyone. Overall the entire process went so smoothly and Blue Leaf would be my company of choice if I ever needed another estate auction again. Roland, Stephanie, and their entire team did an amazing job and I’m very thankful for that.

Response to Blue Leaf's statement.   Blue Leaf will be written as BL, and Rowan H[redacted] as RH.
RH says 2 checks were sent from BL. That brought a response; Sunday , 8/28/16 at 4 pm I rec'd a call from RH.
RH accused accused my neighbors of being responsible for the theft and vandalism, but that it was no concern of his because the house has been demolished.
After all, you are 78.''    Not a chance.
BL  was to be at the house 5/19--5/23.

In response to Ms. D[redacted] complaint, when we first spoke with [redacted], she stated that the house sold and that they were going to demolish the property and she wanted to sell her personal...

property. We were informed that we could sell everything even the fixtures. We did sell all personal property but did not sell any fixtures as no one had any interest in purchasing them; the house was very old and dated. During the sale, we saw the neighbor in the backyard removing bricks. We asked him to please stop and not do this during the sale. He said that he has permission from the owner to take them. We asked him to please come back after the sale was finished to complete his task. Please note the house was not vandalized by Blue Leaf or anyone associated with Blue Leaf. I find it a little dishearten that this claim is even being made as the house was clearly demolished. ( Please see attached photos of Demolition permit form the city of Paradise Valley and pictures of empty lot ) After the auction I contacted [redacted] and asked her where to send the proceeds. (Please see attached screenshot from my email ) She did finally call us back and we mailed the check to: [redacted]   As of today, the check has not been cashed. I can only assume that she is holding the check because she has made this claim trying to extort money from Blue Leaf. It seems that [redacted] and her real-estate agent are trying to get money out of us for something that we had nothing to do with. To think that she was given a “bill” for vandalism would be absurd, when the house was clearly demolished. I would ask that [redacted] please cash her check and retract this false claim of vandalism and withholding of funds.

PS. I have more pictures than I am able to upload on the Revdex.com website.   Sincerely,   Stephanie G[redacted] Blue Leaf Auctions [redacted]

BEWARE!!! This company told me they would advertise my estate and I would make around 20,000 for everything we sold with them, they are Good talkers but on the day of my sale they changed the Contract from 25% to $1500 plus 25% for their share and Bullied me into this new contract! They Then Proceeded to sell everything in my home for Less then pennies on the dollar ! Even Fine Antiques and my husbands Expensive Garage tools! They totaled up the sales at 1550 and took their 1500 off the top of that, left me with 50dollars and then they Split!! Me and my husband are Elderly and desperately needed the money from this sale to pay med bills and try to buy a travel trailer to live in!! These people have robbed us of that and now we are left with nothing . Please spread the word to anyone thinking about using this company and Beware! Also the owner told us that there would be over 100 people coming to our sale but the only people that came were 15-20 of his venders that follow him to his auctions because he sells everything for nothing !

I had to come to Phoenix to help my parent's move out of their house. We were so overwhelmed by what they had that we just decided to sell most of the items and just downsize; so we looked online and that's where we found Blue Leaf. There were so many estate sale companies but what caught my attention was the fact they actually bring people out and AUCTION items off. I had never heard of this before but we read their reviews and decided to go with them... My parents and I couldn't believe how many people showed up to buy their stuff, and in a matter of a few hours everything had sold. We couldn't be happier to have called Blue Leaf, and we definitely recommend them to anybody!

Love attending Blue Leaf Auctions ~ very professional, friendly staff who are helpful & courteous.

I wanted to extend my appreciation to you for the estate auction of my father's residence on 8/31. I also received your check today as promised and wanted to Thank You for running such a professional and smoothly run process.
I still have family and friends who visited that day telling me about how amazing you were and the house left spotless.
Should you need a recommendation, let me know. [redacted], Jr

We hired Blueleaf to take care of my mother-in-laws estate. They were very professional. We interviewed six estate sale companies and [redacted] was the best. We were very pleased with the results of the sale. We would highly recommend Blueleaf.

I have been to several Blue Leaf auctions. It's always a lot of fun. I find Rolan and his crew to be extremely helpful and honest. I look forward to attending more of their auctions. I recommend them to anyone looking to liquidate or to attend an auction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response by Mr [redacted] is neither true or factual .He owed me  money and paperwork from the sale at my house .When a company does a sale then hands you a blank accounting sheet ,there's a problem .the itemization of the lots were there just zeros in the amount column and [redacted]d said that's how we do it . We'll that's not how I do it,So its like going out for diner and get a check that has everything you ordered just zeros for amounts wirh a total at the bottom would you except that HECK NO   I asked him for and accurate accounting with amounts for each purchase .They give a detailed sheet to the buyers but he said that would be very hard to do and take a couple of weeks I said fine[maybe this is a way to hide paying taxes on the sales but he does charge taxes on all sales so I don't know huh  .Meantime we had a problem of accumulating trash left primarily by one buyer I asked him [redacted] If he would go in on a dumpster and he agreed and said he could supply it fine I asked two other buyers with a lot of trash if they wanted to go in on it they agreed I paid [redacted] EVERYBODY'S PAYMENT EXCEPT [redacted]S AND WITH WITNESSES HE SAID WILL YOU PAY HIIM [redacted] AND 'LL I GET A CHECK WRITTEN FOR YOU so end of story right should have been .I sent [redacted] numerous texts to get my money and the billing statements and he would just make an excuse or finally he quit answering the phone and txts OF WHICH I HAVE PROOF  . So my only resolve was to contact Revdex.com and thank God they are there to help .Low and behold now [redacted] will do something. But to write in a phoney made up excuse for his actions only verifies the caliper of person he is ,I leave this to the public to decide if everything went fine then why was a complaint filed .the very nature of a complaint means you had a problem and I did with  blue leaf estate auctions.I would never use them again and its up to the public if they decide to use him.So in ending [redacted] should have just manned up at the beginning and none of this would have happened.Sincerely [redacted]      PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS STATEMENT AREA  THEIR NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THER COULD YOU REMOVE THEM PLEASERegards,[redacted]

We hired Blue Leaf to help us sell a lot of items that were initially set to be donated. Blue Leaf did a fantastic job, they were professional and courteous. They handled every detail, from advertising the auction, to coordinating the date and time, to helping clear all of the sold items out of the home. They are amazing. I would highly recommend them.
