I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The quote given over the phone more than doubled once Brian and his crew arrived Having spoken with others since then, they all feel that we got ripped off Perhps he felt we were easy mark seniors The roof is not, and was not deteriorated, as it's only years old In the worse casse the snow was no more than feet deep And lastly, the damage done was only in one area of the entire roof (approximately 1/3), and the company that repaired it stated that the person doing that part must have been shoveling against the shingle patternLastly, I didn't really expect much as when we filed the complaint we were advised that BML had multiple unresolved complaints That said we would like to go on record as being very dissatisfied with both BML's work and their response Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com spoke to Brian at business and the following was relayed: He did receive the refund I sent. I sent a check a while ago.

When quoting...

the job I gave [redacted] an estimate on the repair. I saw on the roof what needed to be done. When we tore the roof area off there was rotted wood that must be fixed. I showed [redacted] and told him there was rotted wood that needed to be repaired at that time. I did not know or could I tell there was rotted wood until we tore the shingles off. The leak is repaired and he has no further leaking since we fixed it. I have to charge people for additional work when it is discovered. I had no way of telling the wood was rotted. He told me when I gave him the estimate the leak just started. If the leak just started he would not have had rotted wood. Therefore upon getting into the job we discovered rotted wood and he was charged accordingly. The leak is repaired. Brian [redacted].

The contractor did not do any additional work on the roof other than what was listed on estimates. Contractor states that the repairs will cost $17040 but when finished he said he wanted $2040. This was a minor job and an inadequate job at that and certainly not worth the money I paid.
