Never buy from this dealership
Here is what happen to me after buying three vehicle from them. In February 2020 I stop in to purchase a new SUV. First of all I walk in the dealership and stood there for 5 min. and was never greeted by a Salesman on till I walk out and was getting in my car, this should had been a sign not to buy here. Never got to see the SUV I was interested in and was never asking to test drive one. But I sat there and listed to the Salesman. Before I knew in they had a payment for the new vehicle, less then my payment on the one I was trading in so I took the deal. Now this is the good part, I put a down payment down and $165.00 for title and registration fee. When I went to pick it up they told me they have to put new plate on it and they did in about two weeks I received a bill for another $145.00 for the new plates. The another thing I just found that they charged we a $65.00 fee on the purchase agreement for registration. The real problem is the $1000.00 I had coming back to me on the service contract on the SUV I traded it. they claim they used it for the down payment on the new one, whey did my new car payment stay the same with a $1000 down more I see Small Claim Coming up.

I would like the business notified and I would like the complaint posted for the publicMy ultimate goal was to lease a new car for the advertised price of $per month with the stated terms of $1,cash down plus first payment, the tax, registration and aquisition feesI'd like them to comply with their advertisement and follow through with what they promisedI have attached pages to show the advertisementIt was a full page newspaper ad and I have circled the one for the Impala "ANY 'LS or LT" with an MSRP between $27,and $35,and Total of payments $7,This was in the Saturday September 13, Democrat and Chronicle newspaper in Section F on pages 6F and 7F I have also attached the sample car I walked in with and asked them to price out for meIt was a Impala LT sedan with an MSRP of $34, I'd like to add that several times the salesman said to me, "We can make the payment anything you want it to be as long as you work the numbers right." I said, I want to work the numbers to be $/ month just like the adThats when he said I would have to put $5,down to get to $/ monthI also asked him to clarify how the first payment, the tax, registration and aquisition fees totaled $4,since the price was supposed to be $1,cash down plus the extra itemsThe salesman said the car I was looking at was an LTand not covered by the add and I showed him that the MSRP was in the correct range and that the add did not say anything about LS1, LS2, LTor LTbut ANY LS or LT automobile

It is clear [redacted] had the better deal with $6,offI did not ask BOB JOHNSON to beat $6,off, than present the coupon for $2,more offBecause to get $6,off at [redacted] you had to use the couponAgain the AD CLEARLY STATES WE WILL ACCEPT ALL COMPETITORS COUPONS RUSS did not accept the coupon and said he use to work at [redacted] and it's a good dealership , I better get going it opened hour earlier Thank You Revdex.com Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards, [redacted] As I stated in the complaint I was promised the return of my folding key/switch blade fob after recall service was performed and I returned to pickup my vehicle after one of the two services were performed to find the folding key to be stated as discarded and the only option   presented was a solid no folding key fob& nbsp;yes it came for recall services one being the unintended key rotation recall which required to my knowledge and was explained to me by the service representative that the ignition would be changed out and I was get a new cut key blade for my fob not a whole different key fob setup, which I inquired about and was promised to me wouldn't happen and that I would receive a folding key fob after service

Please accept this letter as our response to complaint id [redacted] I have attached a total of three lien pay off checks that we processed in our effort to pay off Mr [redacted] 's trade loan Upon delivery of Mr [redacted] 's new vehicle he provided us with his bank loan /> information of [redacted] BankCheck # [redacted] was sent out June 30thA week later [redacted] Bank called us because there was not record of an active loanWe then called Mr [redacted] who gave us the correct bank information of [redacted] BankUnfortunately the salesman, [redacted] spelled the City address incorrectlyPlease see copy of check # [redacted] Because of this, the check was never receivedWe discovered the error when Mr [redacted] called us two weeks later concerned about his unpaid loanAfter verifying with State Farm that they did not receive our check and verifying with our bank that the check was not cashed, we immediately over nighted another check, # [redacted] with the correct address We have been very apologetic to Mr [redacted] but have never lied to himI have also attached a copy of the "cashed" [redacted] check for proof that his loan was satisfied

Mr. [redacted] called our business center from Maryland inquiring about our used Cadillac. James, one of our call reps gave me the lead and I assigned him to one of our sales reps, Benny... C [redacted] . Benny and Mr. [redacted] came to an agreement on price and he was to make arrangements to come to Rochester for delivery. He was to take care of tax and license in Maryland as he lives there. Mr. [redacted] came in on Friday May 21st to take delivery and gave us a check for the car including tax and we went to the Dept of Motor Vehicles to get him an in transit permit to go home and he would then get it registered in Maryland. We told him we would send him a check in the mail the following week for the sales tax that he included in the cod check for some reason and we did mail it out to him the following week. I was off the day he came in for delivery and the manager on duty called me to ask about a spare tire that Mr. [redacted] inquired about. We had absolutely no conversation about a spare and actually the car has run flat tires so nothing was promised. As far as the Navigation, also nothing was promised and the car does not have it. As a good will gesture our service manager offered him free onstar navigation connection and directions for a year but he declined. As far as the keys, we did tell him that we would send them to him as soon as the person that traded it in gave them to us. As of today the previous owner has not given us the extra keys and if he doesn’t get them to us by next week then we will get a set made and send them to him as promised. Feel free to call me or email if you have any further question. Sincerely, Bill K [redacted] Sales Manager Bob Johnson Chevy ###-###-####

Re: complaint id [redacted] [redacted] came in to buy a new Traverse from us on August 30thHe came in based upon a sale we were havingThe sale was very aggressive as we were taking 25% off the price of the vehicle We did the sale price as agreed 25% off and he stated that he had a GM card for $which was subtracted form the sale price He understood the sale price of 25% off plus tax and license and got his Gm card of $off that The negotiated price was 25% off plus tax and license as stated by Mr [redacted] so the GM card of $off of that is pretty cut and dry I am not sure what Mr [redacted] is looking for but we gave him the sale price that he negotiated for Call me if you have any questions Sincerely, [redacted] Sales Manager Bob Johnson Chevy 585-413-

I'm on my 9th Car purchase from Bob Johnson  thank you Pete M*** George S***, and Mike B*** for always providing superior customer service, when I'm in and quality vehicles

In response to Mr*** and id number ***
I did not have any promises by the salesperson relayed to me
The 25% off was based on the base MSRP on the Traverse of $which is $
That comes off the MSRP of $and comes down to $plus tax and license less his GM card
Mr*** told us an approximate amount on his GM card and we told him the bottom line after tax and license
When he went into the finance department to finalize the transaction, he asked for the bottom line and told *** ***, the finance manager
that he had a GM cardMr*** knew we had deducted the amount already but didn’t communicate it to the *** so he said just to deduct it
We sell cars a month plus and do not have many issues
I am sorry if Mr*** misunderstood the terms but he got a great deal based upon our ad and unfortunately decided not to take it, which was his decision
Sincerely,
*** ***

In our previous response letter of August 11,2014, we identified the concerns, facts and
actions for Mr*** as well as the Revdex.comWe even provided copies of documents that
supported the events and timeline as well as the desired settlement which was proof that
the loan was paid offWe admitted human error
As for the request of apology, our Sales Manager, *** *** personally apologized
twice during two phone conversations with Mr***We can not make a comment
regarding his credit report, as that is private undisclosed information

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe dealership was indeed doing a 25% off promotion
However, the salesman communicated that we would be receiving additional
discounts beyond thatWe had an expired “Personal Offer” from GM that would
take an extra $1K off the price of any new vehicleWe presented that to the
salesman and he said that while it was not valid through GM, the dealership
would be able to offer an additional $1K off (this is after he confirmed the
25% off sale)He further asked us if we were eligible for any other GM
discounts which he listed offThe one we answered positively to was being
members of a credit union
While I don’t know the exact amount of the credit union
discount, at the very least the total price should have been:
$36,(MSRP)
-$9,(25% off)
-$1,(additional discount communicated by salesman)
Total: $26,
From that number we should subtract any discount for being
credit union members and then subtract our GM card points (and of course add in
taxes, etc.)
After agreeing on a purchase price which seemed reasonable
given everything we were told by the salesman, the dealership is now trying to
tell us that the purchase price (before taxes and excluding the GM card) is
really about $29,That isn’t even 25% off as they were advertising!
The simple fact is the salesman never told us the price we
were negotiating already included the GM card pointsThe instructions for
using the GM card (www.gmcard.com/how-to-redeem) clearly indicate that we agree
on our best price and then deduct the value of our GM card earningsThe
dealership did not follow that practice and did not communicate that they were
doing something differentWe further were told we would be getting additional
discounts above and beyond the advertised sale, which were either not true at
the time of negotiations or changed by the dealership when we went to pick up
the car
This dealership is guilty of either advertising,
deceptive and dishonest negotiation practices, or both

I brought my car in last week due to service lights that came on in my vehicleI brought it in on a Thursday night and was told I would have it by MondayCalled Monday several times (stated they were working on the vehicle at 11:30am) only to get a call back late at night stating that they haven't done anything on the car yet because someone was sickI finally got the car back the following Thursday night only to have my prescription sunglasses and a *** receiver stolen from my carI brought it up to them and of course they aren't liable for any lost or stolen itemsSlow service, horrible organization, and they are thieves! I will never go back to this place and I hope no one else has to deal with things getting stolen and slow service like I did

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted]
The business did not answer all complaints, only one. We agreed on only one lender and that was [redacted] bank. That was decided at the time of purchase in a face to face conversation with Mr. [redacted]. His answer is not sufficient as it does not portray the entire truth. He did call and I will return his call and tell him the same thing. What guarantee do I have that my credit has not been tarnished?

Re: id [redacted] came in to Bob Johnson Chevrolet on Saturday September 13, 2014. He spoke with our salesperson [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] came in on an ad we had in the paper for a special lease deal on the Chevy Impala. In the paper it showed that we were leasing LS and LT Impalas for $200 per month with tax and fees and an additional $1000 cash or trade as down payment. Unfortunately he picked out a 2LT Impala which was not one of the ad vehicles. The 2LT and the LTZ were not included in the ad price. So we told Mr. [redacted] what the additional money down would be to give him a $200 per month payment. He was upset and thought we misled him in the ad and pricing.
We sell 600 plus cars a month and unfortunately sometimes there can be a misunderstanding.
We feel that we were forthright with our ad and explanation of the ad. That being said, we always want to try and keep our customers happy so as a good will gesture we are going to call Mr. [redacted] and offer him the vehicle that he wanted
at the ad price.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Bob Johnson Chevy

Re: complaint id [redacted]

Our finance manager, [redacted], answered this complaint originally and has already spoken with Mr. [redacted]. In spite of the fact that [redacted] bank was used, it is not unusual for more that one bank to look at credit and apparently [redacted] looked at it as well and also [redacted] had the [redacted] rep call Mr. [redacted] so he could explain things to him and they had a private conversation.
We don’t use a lot of lenders and typically run a persons credit and then try to match them up with the bank with the best fit. We do not send peoples information to multiple sources.
As far as Mr. [redacted]s credit being tarnished, there are no guarantees in life but nothing we did is going to affect his credit.
Feel free to call me with any questions.

Sincerely,
[redacted]
