Hi I'm writing about the current complaint we have. I don't want to get into a fight through complaint responses and broadcast this through everyone but here is what happened. When we sent out technician to do the work the customer was drunk and only in his underwear. We presented options, then they called us again in the next few days and requested we come back to do the work. When coming back to do the work he was again drunk with a gun by the door and when we finished the work and attempted to collect payment he told the technician to get out of the house. We then called to police who came over and we then were able to collect payment. I'm sure I could get a police report but dont want to broadcast through the complaint that "We showed up to a drunk and near naked customer and came back later at his request. We weren't going to do work when he was drunk that first night. Then drunk again he backtracked from our agreement. We held up everything that we said we would do." the complaint is from the wife who was never at the home and did not have the interaction with us.

I am rejecting this response because: First of all - I don't make a habit of regularly excavating my driveway, it's really not much fun. While it's true Advanced did not provide the excavation, we only did it because their "highly trained" (Cody's words, not mine) technician was so sure we had a break in our line. He was so sure, in fact, that he was willing to charge us between 8 - 14k to fix said break in the line. So the charge was incurred because of the "expert" advice we were given by this company.Second - why would I want another Advanced technician at my house to verify that the first one made a mistake? I had a licensed contractor tell me they made a mistake, and HE didn't stand to make 14 grand off said error. I don't want Advanced Home Services anywhere near my home ever again. What I want is their mistake corrected, in the ethically correct way. We never would have had an excavation done had their technician not told us our line was broken. Considering their second technician came out and found roots in the line between the house and cleanout (something the first technician DEFINITELY should have checked), and since we put root-eater down the drain our toilet has been working fine (It's January now, that was July), I don't trust Advanced's assessment of the situation - then, now, or anytime in the future. They are NOT coming near my house again - I don't have another $900 to throw down the drain. Nor do I have another 14k to throw down the drain, if I go with their recommendations. They made a mistake, and the honorable and ethical thing to do is make it right. Making it right includes refunding us for the service fee, as well as the $800 excavation they cost us. That's what needs to happen, and they know it. At this point, Advances is making this a point of Pride, rather than doing the right thing because they screwed up. It's unfortunate, because any business that runs this way is bound to run out of new customers to take advantage of. Hopefully they'll do the right thing this time.
