Date: 11/14/17 Re: [redacted]   To Whom It May Concern, We are in receipt of Ms. [redacted]’s complaint. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will address this situation with the information we have in our records. Ms. [redacted] came to our office for an interview...

on October 16th and decided to join our services. During the interview, we provide various paperwork for our program, including an agreement which states the client fee is non-refundable. Once our clients leave our office following this interview, we immediately begin working for them and providing our services. We enter the client’s information into our system, conduct the national background check, enter detailed notes from the interview, discuss potential referrals on the new client’s behalf, etc. Ms. [redacted] sent us an e-mail on October 19th, stating she completed the online questionnaire and everything necessary to “finish the process”. She inquired about the status of her account. We left her a voice message and sent a follow-up e-mail, explaining we were waiting on the results of the background check and that we would be calling her as soon as we did. We received an e-mail from Ms. [redacted] on October 25th in which she stated she did not want to move forward with the process. We immediately called her upon receipt of her e-mail. Ms. [redacted] stated she changed her mind and was mainly concerned about not seeing photos of our male clients. We tried to provide her encouragement and ease her fears, but she was still apprehensive and wanted to cancel. [redacted], the Relationship Specialist who signed up Ms. [redacted] for our services, called her on October 27th. Ms. [redacted] said she was at work and to call back. [redacted] left a voice message for Ms. [redacted] on October 30th. Ms. [redacted] sent an e-mail on 11/1, stating she never heard from [redacted]. Again, [redacted] called and left a message on November 1st. They played phone tag for a few days and [redacted] left a most recent message for Ms. [redacted] on November 8th. [redacted] has not received a return call and now we have received this complaint. We have tried speaking with Ms. [redacted] about what has changed her mind since she joined. As we explained, the agreement states that our client fee is non-refundable, so Ms. [redacted] is not eligible for a refund. We only wish to move forward with her program and assist her in finding someone special. We know this was initially important to her. Kindest Regards, Boston Matchmakers

To Whom It May Concern, We are surprised to see that this case has been re-opened. We were previously informed the case had been “Answered”. We explained prior what has transpired with Ms. [redacted]’s program since she joined our services. We explained we have found 16 referrals on her behalf so far, but not all of these referrals panned out into matches. Yes, Ms. [redacted] successfully met with 4 gentlemen, spoke with 1 gentleman (but decided not to meet), 1 referral was cancelled, the most recent referral she did not connect with, and 8 referrals were rejected. Please note we did not mean Ms. [redacted] rejected the gentlemen. This means the referrals were rejected in our system for one reason or another, such as the men became unavailable, the matchmakers ultimately decided it might not be the best fit for both parties, etc. As we previously stated, we are just as disappointed if matches do not work out. We only want the best for all of our clients. Again, we explain to our clients that we will match them with those who are likely most mutually compatible, we use our best judgment when providing referrals and no two people are generally perfectly compatible. Our clients will not have a connection with all the people they meet. This is why we provide programs with multiple referrals. Some people find someone special right away and for others it can take time. We recruit and interview new people on a regular basis. Our clients never know if their perfect person can walk into our doors tomorrow. We would very much like to continue working with Ms. [redacted].   Kindest Regards, Boston Matchmakers
