This vehicle was towed to our shop with 179,miles and a complaint of misfire on #cylinder
The only diagnosis we did was a compression test which showed # cylinder to have very low compression and with the high mileage you would be wasting money to "overhaul" this engine
We did not drain
the oil, we did nothing else to the vehicle but the compression testThe customer took the vehicle without paying the diagnosis charge which he still owes
We will not pay for his motor nor will we waive the diagnosis charge he authorized

We have contacted Mr *** and came to an acceptable resolution for all parties We initially contacted Ford for assistance and were denied Next, we contacted the tire manufacturer, and again we were denied assistance The next step was to contact Mr *** and
offer a no charge installation and a discount on whatever tires he decided would work best for his vehicle Mr *** was informed of all these steps and felt that our offer of free installation and a discount was not enough, and he decided to contact Ford again, as well as the Revdex.com I spoke to Mr *** again prior to responding to this case, and I anticipate his arrival late this afternoon to decide which tires he would like, as we have agreed to split the cost of a new set of tires in the interest of customer satisfaction

So What I found out is that the consumer was sent warranty paperwork from the parts supplier that needed filled out in order to validate the warrantyThe consumer failed to fill out and send the paperwork back to the parts supplier therefore the warranty was never implemented.We offered several options and discounts but the consumer declinedWe cannot be responsible if the consumer failed to do his partWe are, however, still willing to discount the repairs to help him out.Pat D***###-###-####

I don't think a "glass expert" can tell us its not likely, we see it all the time low spots as well as high spotsAlso I have never heard of a deductible on windshield replacements and we do 30-a month for customersWe did not have any tools on or near the windshield so that statement is not validHowever, in the interest of customer satisfaction we will go ahead and reimburse the requested amount to the consumer.ThanksPat

The customer has a service contract on his vehicleWhen they sent out the inspector they declined any warranty due to extreme abuseWe do not make the call in this situation it is contracted out to a 3rd party appraisal company who determines coverageWe are willing to work with him on pricing

I have spoke with Mrs*** and apologized for the lack of communication concerning her vehicle
I agreed to take care of all her outstanding concerns with the vehicle that she listed in the complaint
We will replace her door handle at no charge ( part is on
order)
We will replace her key and remote as promised at time of purchase ( this part is in and already programmed)
We will replace her wheel lock set as promised by *** *** ( part is on order)
We will repair the water leak in the trunk area (completed today)
We have agreed to take care of the rental charges as promised by our GM
Based on our conversation she is completely satisfied with the resolution

I reference to the Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint submitted 2/14/18.Our Coughlin Circleville General Manager Andy G[redacted] has made several attempts to contact the consumer with no response. We understand her concern, however interest rates are determined by the bank not the dealership. This loan, like all...
