MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. ITS A MONOPOLY . WHO CAN DEFEND THE CONSUMER? . THE Revdex.com MUST GET INVOLVED. THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT ITS COSTING ME A FORTUNE. This issue has been resolved directly with the City of Phoenix Water Service customer.

The City of Phoenix Water Services is in receipt of your letter regarding Mr. [redacted]’ concern about charges on his city service account.  Mr. [redacted] bill increased in May by $1.45 compared to his April bill when he says he had 2 additional people living at the residence for 2...

weeks. Customer Service staff was in contact with Mr. [redacted] on July 2, 2015 and explained that his sewer fee and trash service are included on his bill each month, not just water service.  The water charges were actually lower on the May bill than the previous month because of the inclusion of a late fee for $1.90 charged because of a missed payment. Mr. [redacted] was also advised that his monthly sewer will be reduced beginning with his July bill.  He expressed an understanding of what was explained. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. that billing statement, you will notice a credit of $-5.39.  The current billing system for the City of Phoenix does not allow for automatic payments with credit cards, and we regret the inconvenience you are experiencing as a result.  Upgrades to the billing system are expected in the next year, however, we are required to remain with the currently contracted system until the end of that contract.  Again, we regret the inconvenience to you.Water systems are determined by municipalities which can provide the service.  If a Phoenix resident moves to another city, that city would provide the service.  If a resident lives in a smaller town or city, a private water company provides the service.  Water systems are provided by one source, generally a municipality, due to the expense of infrastructure, water treatment, system delivery and maintenance to provide the service.Sincerely,[redacted]
