Review: I attended Kaplan College from June 2014 to March 2015. There were constant problems with getting in contact with my advisors once I got to the clinical and externship part of the program. I completed my externship in February 2015 and was supposed to take my state licensing exam in March of 2015. After repeated failed attempts to contact my advisor and find out when and where I was supposed to be, I finally got a call the week before the exam and was informed that since I didn't attend the prep/refresher courses (that I was not told about) that I couldn't take the exam in March and would have to wait until April. I tried repeatedly to get a hold of my advisor regarding the April exam and was told there would not be an exam in April and I would have to wait until May. In May I was able to get a hold of someone at the school and was told that since I didn't take the exam in March I had to pay a rescheduling fee of $30, even though it wasn't my fault I missed the March exam, I paid the $30 rescheduling fee then a week later I received a call and was told that the May exam was being cancelled and I would have to wait another month. Now we are in June and I received a phone call telling me that because they cancelled the May exam and are now using a different test provider, I have to pay an additional $60 to take the exam. Future potential students need to be aware that the school is extremely disorganized and they, the student, will have to pay for the school's disorganization and mistakes when it comes to scheduling the clinical and externship sites as well as taking the licensing exams.Desired Settlement: The school needs to be held responsible and accountable for their disorganization and mistakes. The students should not have to pay additional fees for actions the school has taken which affect the scheduling of clinical/externship sites (which caused some of my classmates to be dropped from the program) or exam dates (which affect the students potential to obtain a job)

Response:
[redacted] and [redacted] from Kaplan College spoke with Ms. [redacted] on 6/3/15 regarding
her Revdex.com complaint #[redacted].
Ms. [redacted] confirmed that
Kaplan would be covering the additional $60 testing fee that resulted because
the campus switched providers between [redacted]'s original testing date that she
did not show for and the rescheduled date.
Ms. [redacted] confirmed the
upcoming test date on June 26th at 7:30 am and the mandatory practice date on
June 25 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm with [redacted] on the phone and followed up with
the information in writing. [redacted] confirmed receipt of the
information.
At this point the matter is
resolved.
