The company failed to address their poor customer service problems from the lst complaint and now the 2nd. We have heard similar stories from others about delays, calls unanswered, etcand read similar Revdex.com complaints. Colton needs to address communication with staff and customer. I specifically headed the complaint as a Customer Service problem. How will they correct this for the future.

We diagnosed and performed the proper repair on Mr***'s travel trailer. Due to the fact that freezing temperatures were being forecast while his travel trailer was at our facility, we performed a complimentary winterization to prevent damage to the unitThe customer alleges that a hinge was damaged on his hot water tank door. Our technician denies causing this damage, but once the customer provides us with a photo of the damaged hinge, Colton RV will order the appropriate repair parts. The tongue jack on the customer's travel trailer failed as he was hitching up his unit. A replacement jack has been ordered and will be provided to the customer when it arrives, per his request. Colton RV will not be providing a power tongue jack in place of the manual jack

I called *** *** had to leave a message regarding servicing his trailer and the paint and fabric protectionWe will detail and reapply the paint and fabric protection for *** ***As far as the additional repairs need the trailer will need to be brought to the dealership for repairsAnd I agreed previously that this one time only we would keep the trailer until April 15th in storage.Again I have not yet been able to speak with *** *** about reapplying the paint and fabric protection And will call him again I will keep you updated

DAWN *** TOOK THE CANADIAN PAPERWORK TO DMV ON OCTOBER 16, TO GET A NYS TITLE IN ORDER TO REGISTER MR*** * *** MOTORHOME COLTON AUTO INC WAS UNAWARE THAT CERTAIN STATES DO NOT HONOR CANADIAN TITLES, PENNSYLVANIA IS ONE OF THEM ONCE WE BECAME AWARE OUR TITLE CLERK
TOOK IMMEDIATE ACTION TO GET A NYS TITLE DAWN HAS EMAILED AND SPOKEN WITH MR *** ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS REGARDING THIS ISSUE EXPLAINING IN DETAIL THE CIRCUMSTANCES DAWN HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ALBANY AS WELL AS CHECKING THEIR WEBSITE TO SEE IF THE NYS TITLE HAS BEEN ISSUED THE FOLLOWING ARE THE DATES DAWN HAS CHECKED THE WEBSITE: 10.23.15, 10.27.15, 10.28.15, 11.16.15, 12.02.15, 12.07.15, 12.09.15, 12.11.15, 12.14.15, AND DAWN SPOKE TO *** IN THE TITLE DIVISION OF ALBANY, NY ON HE STATED IT WOULD TAKE AT LEAST MONTHS OR MORE BEFORE WE SEE A NYS TITLEAT THAT TIME THEY WERE ONLY WORKING ON AUGUST, DMV TRANSACTIONS FOR TITLESPHONED ALBANY AGAIN AT THE END OF NOVEMBER AND WAS TOLD IT IS STILL PENDING REVIEW, DAWN REQUESTED THAT THEY PUT A RUSH ON THIS AS SHE NEEDED TO GET THIS REGISTERED FOR A CUSTOMER OUT OF STATE NOTES WERE PUT IN ALBANY'S SYSTEM OF THE REQUEST, HOWEVER AS OF IT IS STILL PENDING REVIEW OF THE PAPERWORK ACCORDING TO ALBANY CANADIAN TITLES TAKE LONGER TO REVIEW AND ONCE ALL DOCUMENTS PROVIDED HAVE BEEN PROCESSED AND APPROVED A NYS TITLE CAN BE ISSUED

Colton and Riverside, the manufacturer, had conversations in which: Colton refused to pay for the damaged panel even though Riverside said it left their shop in tact and we have the paperwork to show it damaged when received on their lot Colton said they would do an estimate on tank problem estimating it to be 3-hours at $139/hour for mechanics--not free We picked up the camper on 9/as we were tired of Colton's delays We had not received any communication from staff that panel and fan had come in Suddenly they were able to make these repairs when I was there ready to take RV Two items on walk-though list went unresolved by Colton: Colton did not resolve loose wires on slide-out We had to call Riverside several times for grey tank concerns In a conversation they said this slider problem was easy to resolve Seems Colton wasn't talking to them either We had also asked Colton to find out from Riverside about table folding down as their staff didn't know at walk throughNear the end with it unresolved, we had to ask Riverside We remain unimpressed by the poor communication of Colton and their focus on earning more money (Even Riverside was told they needed to pay $to for an estimate of work.) There is no resolution for how poor Sales and Repair/Parts carried or didn't carry out business (Sales problem was never readdressed by Colton in this Revdex.com closure.) *** ***

Good afternoon:Please be advised that Colton RV has re submitted both the awning concern and floor concern to the manufacturer for warranty approval. The roof issue was denied by warranty because the current issue appears to be environments rather than a manufacturers defect. There
appears to be, in our opinion, a petroleum based substance spilled in locations on the roof, causing the roof membrane to bubble. The roof membrane is intact with no puncture or leaking present. This condition was not present at the time of delivery.The customer was informed that the roof was denied for the above reason, that there was some type of environment and not structural issue. As such, it was denied by the manufacturer.The issue with the awning is cosmetic and does not affect the functionality of the awning, yet we did resubmit a claim.Feel free to contact me with any further questions regarding this complaint.Robert ** *** Service Manager Colton RV *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***

We did receive the tool for the tires.  So that is one of many problems settled.  As far as the protectant is concerned, we will will not accept them saying it's been done.  We've been lied to before. Three people told us that they would have to check it. We have no paperwork with the date on it. There are now some dirty spots on the trailer that cannot be scrubbed.We do not have any appointment scheduled as they implied  How about the tape underneath where the protection was not completed?  How about the electrical outlet? How about the leaky bathtub faucet?  How about the scratches on the bedroom door?  And now, after our last camping trip, the big electrical cable broke open because it was installed to drag on the road. And we have two Windows that won't open.The only resolution so far is the tool for three TRYON.

This is the second complaint filed here. Our refrigerator has not worked since purchased in April. The last complaint got closed becasue Colton indicated we were satisfied and fridge was working. By the time we picked it up and had time to test it, the deadline to respond closed. IT DID NOT work, we contact Norcold the manufacturer and they stated they told Colton to replace the cooling unit which they did not, when I forwarded the email to the manager, he had their service guy email us and state they would come pick up our camper and get it fixed but yet when I emailed dates back that they could come get it NO RESPONSE! I have emails from Norcold, Colton and my emails to Grand design for proof that they LIE! My fridge still doesn't work and we have had ro use ice all summer just to camp!I want my fridge and sound bar fixed ( which has not worked since purchase)

Called consumer to see if any contact was made, Colton gave him a dealer plate to go to Arizona with, and is going to send the Registration when they receive it. He is currently in Arizona enjoying himself.
