Wow clearly this customer continues to try to get away with paying there billGood thing is that I have HD video cameras in my office and all around the shop were they were giving permission to do the work and clearly stating when they were both here that they would pay for repairs, all prior to doing any work and her son was here on HD video giving us permission to proceed We never do any work without permission as this customer is claiming and furthur more we had an agreement with a signed estimate and signed paperwork to do the work We wouln't sign someones name just so we can now do the work which we already had permission to do thats why we were picking up the van in [redacted] That tow was free but of course they are now saying that they repairs should be what free too no way I have all the payperwork in orderThe issue is that none of the family members talk to each other all they do is point the finger on the next person who they say is going to pay the billWe were told that the son [redacted] was in [redacted] and that mom only had $to pay us now and when [redacted] came from [redacted] he would pay the balace including the repairs to the van that we have an estimate for, we said yes because we have been doing bussiness with these customers for years so we had no reason to doubt that he would paythe bills when he got back The estimate that was given was discounted because yes we did work on that second car before and it was well off warranty which they new PRIOR to doing the workThis was all arranged prior to us doing any workCustomer asked us when we pick up the van to deliver the truck to her house that was fixed and they try to pull a fast of with the tow driver telling him that they dont have the money right now they stated they would payThen they try to pull another fast one and say that they didnt want us to take the second car but luckaly we had a signed agreement and a promise to pay for both repairs by there mom or else we would have been stuck taking them to court which I have started proceedings onIt is very unfortunate that they bought a car that had no prior maintnance, we explained and showed the customer this all prior to doing work and warned that other issues may arise but as you can see they didnt want to hear itI will be moving on to small claimes to get all of our money that is owed to us and clear our name that this customer seems to want to smear we have an A rating because we take care of our issues when we may have one but we also work on over cars a year but when you have a dishonest customer who want to beat the system or just **at out have an agenda thats were we have an issue far from regular bussiness I take it very personal when it comes to dead beatsThe police was called and they saw were the mom clearly signed the authorizarion to dowork and the promise to pay and so they told the Son [redacted] to go discuss and other issues with his mother that stuck him with the bill which again has nothing to do with us this is not family court

As with all customer we try to make sure the work we do and the customer service we provide is above expectations. This customer did have a complaint but it did not act up while we had it. We put many miles and tried reverse... over and over again and it went into reverse. Customer was upset because we didn't take the transmission apart but it was not acting up while we has the vehicle. I even drove the car out of the parking lot in reverse. I did call the customer to imform him that we did order reverese parts anyway and made an appointment for customer to drop vehicle off. The vehicle is currently here and we found that the torque converter we installed did go bad causing issies with the reverse gear. I hope to have the vehicle back to the customer today with no furthur transmission issues. I do apologize for the inconvenience and we will continue to exceed this and every customers expectation.

We did a transmission repair back in December 2013. Almost two months later we towed the vehicle in at no charge because the customer stated that the vehicle didn't move. We checked the vehicle and found the timing belt/chain guide was worn out coursing the vehicle to jump timing and not start....

Knowing at that point that it was not the transmission we had repaired that was causing the vehicle not to start  we informed the customer of what we needed to do. They have us permission to inspect and we did. We gave the customer a price to do the work discounted since we had done the transmission but not free since it was an engine problem NOT a transmission problem and there is no way to affect, damage or wear out the timing belt by doing a transmission. We waited for the customer to decide on what to do with no charge for storage or charge for the tow and even after they said they didn't have any money and that they probably were going to just junk the vehicle I felt for them on the situation not because we did anything wrong but because we felt the customer was in a tough situation so I waved the inspection charge and both tows. So now seeing this complaint after we showed the customer the part of the vehicle that was bad and that there was no way we could affected it I feel stupid for not charging them for the tows or the inspection. Especially after they come in a few days later with a tow truck bringing the car to another garage to fix the car after telling me they had no money. We did nothing wrong and I feel very angry that we are being complained on when we didn't do anything but bend over backwards to help in every way we could. If the transmission was the issue we would have fixed it free.

I am rejecting this response because: Their statement couldn't be any further from the truth. So if I may  when I  first came to BT,I informed that  my vehicle was making noise from the front. I requested  an estimate before starting the repair. After  a few days was informed that my differential  was bad  and  they had to replace it.  I was quoted  $950.00 ,and  three  would be a service  charge of  $550.00 but it would be applied to the repair. So  I didn't have any choice  but  let them  do the work .Several  days  past  and the work  wasn't  started .Finally  they  ask me to bring a deposit  before  the work  began,I gave them $500.00. At this time  I was told that a use part  wouldn't have  there guarantee ,because  they  didn't  rebuild  it,Therefore  they would try to  rebuild  it and save me money. This  was meet  with a lot of stalling. So the bottom line  they charge  me $2000.00 ,I had  my son  to drive  the  vehicle  before  I paid  BT My son questions the noise  that is  when they got  an attitude, When  my daughter came to pay with my [redacted]  account  BT wanted  to over charge  us once again  a attitude. Once  I pick up  my  vehicle  BT said that my Transmission  was bad. That  was  lie

Wow clearly this customer continues to try to get away with paying there bill. Good thing is that I have 16 HD video cameras in my office and all around the shop were they were giving permission to do the...

work and clearly stating when they were both here that they would pay for repairs, all prior to doing any work and  her son was here on HD video giving us permission to proceed.
We never do any work without permission as this customer is claiming and furthur more we had an agreement with a signed estimate and signed paperwork to do the work.  We wouln't sign someones name just so we can now do the work which we already had permission to do thats why we were picking up the van in [redacted]. That tow was free but of course they are now saying that they repairs should be what free too no way I have all the payperwork in order. The issue is that none of the family members talk to each other all they do is point the finger on the next person who they say is going to pay the bill. We were told that the son [redacted] was in [redacted] and that mom only had $1000.00 to pay us now and when [redacted] came from ** he would pay the balace including the repairs to the van that we have an estimate for, we said yes because we have been doing bussiness with these customers for years so we had no reason to doubt that he would paythe bills when he got back.
The estimate that was given was discounted because yes we did work on that second car before and it was well off warranty which they new PRIOR to doing the work. This was all arranged prior to us doing any work. Customer asked us when we pick up the van to deliver the truck to her house that was fixed and they try to pull a fast of with the tow driver telling him that they dont have the money right now they stated they would pay. Then they try to pull another fast one and say that they didnt want us to take the second car but luckaly we had a signed agreement and a promise to pay for both repairs by there mom or else we would have been stuck taking them to court which I have started proceedings on. It is very unfortunate that they bought a car that had no prior maintnance, we explained and showed the customer this all prior to doing work and warned that other issues may arise but as you can see they didnt want to hear it. I will be moving on to small claimes to get all of our money that is owed to us and clear our name that this customer seems to want to smear we have an A rating because we take care of our issues when we may have one but we also work on over 600 cars a year but when you have a dishonest customer who want to beat the system or just **at out have an agenda thats were we have an issue far from regular bussiness I take it very personal when it comes to dead beats. The police was called and they saw were the mom clearly signed the authorizarion to dowork and the promise to pay and so they told the Son [redacted] to go discuss and other issues with his mother that stuck him with the bill which again has nothing to do with us this is not family court.

Review: I had a transmission problem while driving my wife's car on a Sunday morning in [redacted]. I was able to drive the car to the first transmission repair facility that I came to. Left car in lot and returned the next day to discuss with the repair shop. After having the car for nine days, it was repaired. While I experienced no transmission issues afterward, I noticed the wheel alignment was way off, and an ABS light was on dashboard which hadn't been there prior. [redacted] agreed to take care of the issues through a friend's business nearby. My wife and I then got "the run-around" from [redacted] and I had to resolve issues on my own. During this time I also noticed the coolant reservoir was removed, for some reason, and was left sitting on the engine manifold. The bottom of this plastic tank burned through and had to be replaced.Desired Settlement: I would like reimbursement for repairs after the car had been in their shop.

Review: In March, 2014, while temporarily in Connecticut, I took my [redacted] Dakota to Budget Transmission because the transmission was acting up. I paid over $1,900 (including tax) for a the installation of a rebuilt transmission and torque converter. I picked up the truck on 3/13/14. On April 4, I returned to my home in [redacted]. By the time I reached [redacted], I could not get the truck into reverse. An [redacted] service center in [redacted] looked at the problem and said it would cost $800 to repair. I called Budget Transmission. They would not pay for the repair in [redacted] but claimed they would fix it if I drove the truck to Connecticut, a trip I had not planned to make. On April 9, I did drive back to Connecticut to have the repair done, left the truck at Budget Transmission and rented a car for $50. Today, they say they won't even take it apart to see what the problem is because "They don't see any problem!!!" I paid for a rebuilt transmission, an unnecessary trip to Connecticut, and a rental car and they won't even investigate the problem. This is NOT acceptable.Desired Settlement: The company should either fix the problem, pay for someone else to fix it or refund my $1,935.23 plus car rental plus travel expenses from [redacted] to Connecticut.

Review: The vehicle was brought in for a transmission problem. The charged several hundred dollars over the "worse case scenario price", but it was paid, because I needed the vehicle back. A few weeks later the same problem occurred, the vehicle was brought back. It was there for a week and a half, I called and they said to come get it,it was fixed. I drove the vehicle for one day and it started skipping again. It was brought in the next day. They said they would take a look, and fix it. They had theblazer for two more weeks and didn't call. I started calling everyday and they kept saying they'd call back. They didnt so three days later my girlfriend stopped to ask what was happening with it. They said we were lucky we even took it because they have 80 cars there, and no time. They were very nasty and after yelling and calling another employee they said it was ready and to take it. He kept saying it wasn't running because of a breathalyzer. There was a breathalyzer in the vehicle for the first repair, but had been removed before being returned under the warranty. The transmission began slipping on the way home and it is not drivable. This is supposed to be under warranty, but they aren't/can't fix it. I would like my money back,so I can get it repaired.Desired Settlement: A repair in a timely manor would be acceptable, but after several tries this doesn't seem to be an option.

Response:

The person that came in was not the owner of vehicle and she came in asking condescending questions from the minute she walked in the door since she say an office full of people. We take great pride in the work we did and explained that the issue with the vehicle HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH US. The [redacted] transfer case was having issues and we took care of it as a courtesy. If the vehicle has any other issues that are transmission related we will take care of it 100% at no charge. We value each and every customer and I don't ever want one to be unhappy. So please bring the vehicle in.

These guys are THE BEST.
I had the best experience with them when my car broke down . They were super fast on the tow, very reasonable on the price, provided quality work, and were genuinely nice too.
I would recommend them to anyone, and feel very lucky that I was put in touch with them when I really needed help.
Thanks again Sammy

Review: The receptionist of Budget Transmission( [redacted]) and I had an agreement that I would pay $816.00 for my original transmission to be taken out, and have a replacement unit put in, and have my car fully functional and operating. Over the span of over two months (07/13/2013-09/18/2013) I worked very patiently with Budget Transmission's staff, and I believed that they would keep to their word and complete the work on my automobile. I attempted to pick my car up from their facility on multiple occasions after I was told that the work was completed and that the car fully operable. I had to immediately return the automobile back to Budget Transmissions facility each time to have the work fully taken care of. Budget Transmission had my car in their procession since July 13, 2013 and it was not until September 17, 2013 that the owner of Budget Transmission ([redacted]) told me that their facility does not have the technology or the machinery to properly fix my automobile. The responsible and reasonably thing to do in this situation would have been to inform me in the very beginning that you may not be able to handle every situation that may pertain to this particular make of automobile before agreeing to handle and fix my mechanic problems. Upon the first attempt of retrieving my automobile from Budget Transmission after I was told it was ready, I noticed that the alignment of my automobile was thrown off and the car would sway to left unexpectedly. I brought this issue to [redacted]'s attention and he said that he would have his mechanic look at it and fix it. It was never fixed and in my opinion it was swept under the rug until I brought it to their attention multiple times. I have a quote from [redacted] and [redacted] to have the alignment fixed for $120.00. I would like to have have Budget Transmission pay for my repairs and damages done to my vehicle and have the $816.00 refunded to me, as well as the replacement transmission that I purchased valued at over $550.00 that was never returned.Desired Settlement: I would like Budget Transmission to refund my $816.00 that I paid for work that was never completed. I would also like Budget Transmission to pay for the damages done to my automobile while in their procession (thrown off alignment and replacement of proper transmission fluids.) I would also like Budget Transmission to return the replace parts that I purchased, valued at over $550.00

Response:

This customer doesn't seem to remember that he elected to buy a used transmission from a junk yard rather than have his original transmission rebuilt by us even after explaining to him that the labor would NOT be warranted by us. "It was to much money" is what he said and he then went out on his own and purchased a used transmission which didst work. We went ahead and made all the phone calls and diagnostics as far as we could to determine that indeed the used transmission was faulty, we called his junk yard explained what was going on and they stated they would locate another transmission as they didn't have another one in stock. this took some time and we waited for the junk yard to provide us with the part we didn't take our sweet time on it we just didn't have the part to put in. We then explained to the customer in detail all of this along with a discounted price to install the second transmission. When we installed the second transmission we stated to the customer that the vehicle would need to be reprogrammed by the [redacted] dealer ship since this was a used transmission from another car we could not do the basic reprogram that we normally do on a rebuild. Customer didn't want to hear it and stated he would be picking up vehicle, we still offered to bring the vehicle to the dealership at no charge for them to do there work and that's the last we have heard from customer. As far as the used transmission he claims wasn't returned well that goes back to the junk yard since they provided one and if he is talking about the original transmission that's blasted and needs a rebuilt well he never asked for it but he is more then welcome to it we have no need for it at all as we only repair/ rebuilt the transmission that comes out of the car. By the way we worked it out so that out of the $600.00 that was billed the second time he only paid $100 yes only $100 labor as [redacted] paid the rest.

Review: On 1/04/16 I ask BTC to check out my vehicle,2007 [redacted]It was making a clicking in the front. I was told it would be 2 days or so for a diagnosis.I was quote around $950.00 For a differential.I agree also if they rebuild the broken part it might be cheaper.Instead I was charge $2000.00 twice the price I was quoted. Then I was told that my transmission need so work which shows no problem,Desired Settlement: I believed that I was over charge for the work.I got quote form other for the same work which was cheaper. Each time I request for work to stop or to come and get my vehicle.I was treating with a high service charge or that the vehicle had been taken apart.

Business

Response:

We gave customer 3 options. A used front differential with 97,000 miles for around $950. Option 2 was a used differential with only 39,000 miles was naturally more $ because it was a lot lets miles or option 3. A rebuilt one from the dealer which was close to $2800. Customer picked option 2 because of the lower miles. Customers son called and stated he could get the part cheaper but was talking about the one with many more miles which we offered but that option was declined by [redacted] When we called to let customer know vehicle was ready his son came in with a major attitude and again stated it was too much money and I again reminded him that his father elected the better lower mileage part which we agreed on prior to doing any work and infact [redacted] came in again the next day to leave a deposit to start work and we had no issues yet his son wanted to argue and I took the vehicle parked it and walked away since the agreement was between the father and Budget. Later that day [redacted] came in with his daughter and started with wanting to pay with [redacted]l which we don't take then she started calling me ignorant and and other negative words because I wouldn't take her payment through the computer online transfer. It got so condescending that I then refused to take her payment and asked [redacted] to bring in a bank check or cash. The point to all this is attitude from all the other people who wanted to be in the business but had no idea what the agreement was between me and [redacted] so they made things worst not knowing that the part was almost a new part and that's why it was so much more money BUT that was an agreement made and explained on what the cost difference was and why it was better--- if no options were given and we just changed the price out of the blue then yes they would have a case to be upset but we gave options and option 2 was elected. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

Sincerely,

[redacted] Their statement is false and distorted, yes I was quoted $950.00 at first but when they mentioned that the warranty would not be as great as if they rebuild it,so I said ok,also I was told that rebuilding will be less because they might not have to replace all the parts. I was told that they couldn't remove all the bolts to rebuild it .When my oldest son call asking them why the cost went up ,their reason was they couldn't remove the bolts as well.. It doesn't take 9hrs to remove 4 bolts. So what they did was over charge me for the labor. This business has a problem when their unfair business practices is questions they get very hostel. Therefore its a fact I was over charge. I'm requesting a refund of 4hrs.I ask around to other garage and I was informed that it's only took 5hrs the most.

Business

Response:

We are sorry that you feel that way we did everything to give you as many options as possible, the vehicle came in and it did not move the front differential was destroyed and in many pieces which made it a lot harder to take out than a normal one that's not blown up in pieces, we had to heat up many bolts they were stuck and it was not just under normal circumstances yes it would've been less labor in the case that we had in front of us with your vehicle it took a lot longer than anyone wanted but I explain to you in detail all of your options in front of you and you pick the option that was more cost-effective for you a brand-new one from the dealer would've been way too much in a rebuilt one was also too much so we went with the one that fit your budget based on the many conversations we had prior to doing any work thank you have a good day

Review: My 2005 [redacted] was towed to Budget Transmission by them for transmission problems. They had my car for about three weeks and then called to say it was ready. The cost was $3,000 and if I brought cash, they would save me the state tax. I picked the car up and it had to be returned to them on at least four other occasions. They keep telling me it's "bad parts". Not their fault. They have my car again and it was supposed to be returned to me on Friday, 5/15/15. I called them on Saturday and was again told they had "bad parts" and my car wasn't ready. I have twice had to rent a car for an extended period of time. I cannot rent another car as I am out of money. I explained that I absolutely had to have my car on Saturday and they were going to call me and I have still not received a call. Please advise me on what to do next.Thank you.Desired Settlement: I have no confidence that when I do get my car back that it will be fixed satisfactorily, therefore, I would like a full refund of my $3,000 so that I can bring my car elsewhere to be fixed. I require a car as I do still work and am lost without a car.

Response:

We are very sorry that our good customer [redacted] had to go through this again. I did give customer money for car rental. We realized that there was something wrong with her transmission that seemed not to be repairable after we tried several times- so to not only expedite the repair but to make customer happy we replaced the entire transmission at no charge. Sometimes transmissions cannot be repaired and unfortunately no one can always tell if that's the case before hand or the initial bill would have been a lot higher. This is major work, major surgery for a vehicle and at times thing do happen. We don't want to have an upset customer but I do realize that no matter how you explain it some people just don't want to hear it. I hope the best for this and every customer and hope that with a replacement transmission it works out for the best.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: On December 23, 2013 , budget transmission center completed the transmission job on my 2004 [redacted] explore. On January 9, 2014, the vehicle was taken back ( request of budget transmission center, this is routine)to assure that there were no leakages in terms of oils or fluids. February 6, 2014, while driving to work the vehicle would not pick up speed when applying gas, eventually I had to pull over and call for help.Budget transmission center was called, they had the vehicle for three weeks. They first told me that The vehicle needed a timing belt, later retracing that diagnoses and stating that the vehicle required a bracket. They asked permission to take the engine out in order to do the work , I agreed. Not long after, February 20, 2014 my husband and I were told that the vehicle would require an engine and that they could do the job for another 3100.00.After deciding not to have the work done, I was informed that it would cost 171.00 in order for them to release my vehicle. I agreed. On February 28, 2014, my husband and I went to retrieve the vehicle, at which time we were informed by the manager that the engine was not put together and that he would release the vehicle at no charge along with towing it to my residence. Budget delivered my car that following morning (3/1/2014). On March 3, 2014 we decided to have another company look at the vehicle, however prior to the tow company ([redacted]) transporting my car, the driver and my husband checked under the hood and found that parts of the engine were not there. He and my husband went back to budget transmission to retrieve these parts. The parts were carried out of the shop and placed in a box.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund ( $26895.51 ) along with a settlement for my inconvenience. Also a partial refund for the rental cars.

Response:

We did a transmission repair back in December 2013. Almost two months later we towed the vehicle in at no charge because the customer stated that the vehicle didn't move. We checked the vehicle and found the timing belt/chain guide was worn out coursing the vehicle to jump timing and not start.
