Bud's Gun Shop.com Reviews (23)

I purchased my Springfield XDM 3.8 from them had it shipped to my ffl who could not touch their price and could not be happier. Thanks Buds

I have made purchases from Buds over the past few years while living in three different states. I have read reviews, good and bad. My conclusion is, follow the rules for gun purchases, pay you account on time, do not accept a gun from FFL until you have checked it over. Follow the guideline/rule and you get a good product at a fair price. You complainers that cannot follow instructions and ask Buds Guns to bend the rules, take your wining off the internet.

I’ve ordered two firearms from Bud’s Gun Shop in the recent past and had no problems with receiving exactly what I ordered. This time was different. On December 14, 2014, I saw that Bud’s had the Sig Sauer Adaptive Carbine Platform (ACP) Zombie Killer Edition on sale on their website. The description of the kit stated it included the ACP, a single-point bungee sling, the Sig STL-9000 Laser/Light, and a carry case. Their online picture also showed the kit with the STL-9000 Laser/Light attached to the ACP. I placed my order for the kit that day, part number ACPZKWLL. Note, the last two letters, "LL", i.e. Laser/Light.

Nine days later, I received the ACP kit, and when I opened the box, to my surprise, there was no STL-9000 Laser/Light. The next day, I called Bud’s to let them know that they had forgotten to include the Laser/Light. I was told by their customer service representative the kit no longer comes with that item and they would give a refund if I wanted to send the kit back. As it was to be a Christmas gift for my wife and this was the day before Christmas, this was not an option for me. I asked that they send me the item that was in their online description, the Sig STL-9000 Laser/Light. When they refused to do, I told them that I would have to let their customers know how I was treated.

After Christmas, I attempted to log in to my account on the Bud’s Gun Shop website and found that Bud’s had permanently deleted my account, thereby preventing me from leaving public feedback on my purchase.

If you want to buy firearms and accessories from a dealer that will take care of its customers, DO NOT BUY FROM BUD’S GUN SHOP!

Just received my gun from Buds, absulutley love it. I ordered it on the 1717th and recieved it on the 233rd. Fast and friendly

I placed my $209 order on 12/21/2015 and received a tracking number on 12/22 for my order. It is now 1/5/2016 and the package has never left their facility. It just says "label created under Fed Ex tracking". You call their contact phone number and choose the option for update on existing order and it says "you have called during high call volume due to the holidays" it has said this for 3 straight days and the Holidays are over! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS RETAILER! Check their complaints on the internet! I wish I had prior to my purchase! "

a negative experience with Budsgunshop.
Asked for a price match and popped window saying that they will match it with a lowered price and "for my convenience" it's already placed in my cart with the price-match price. checked out and went to sleep and woke up with the confirmation email giving the none price-match price.
$7 dollar difference, no big deal for me, but I am just more annoyed by the inconsistency.
Emailed the CSR.
Got back a bland cut and paste response saying that "we hope you are satisfied with our solution", while in reality no, zip, zero, solution was offered.
I worked a lot (6 days in a week most of the times), so I kind of put it aside in my mind... until I picked up from my FFL my rifle. At that time I reminded myself to give them a call again to see whether they can own up to their words and fix this for the customer... got a CSR on the phone saying that the ticket for this issue has already been closed (thanks, but I see no solutions being offered or no explanation offered neither), and that I waited a month to call them again (first, 18 days is not a month, 2nd I emailed them the 2nd day, 3rd, I am offering BGS a chance to fix this, I don't care that $7 as much as how they respond to an legitimate issue that is raised by a customer. It probably costs me 20 or 30 times as much for me to spend time calling them and writing this review.
Take home message? be careful with this merchant when shopping, and non-confidence vote on the customer service.

What is this company still in business for? Fraud in advertising, fraudulent price and shipping advertisements, fraudulent billing practices, lies in product descriptions, and little to no customer service. SEE FOR YOURSELF. Just look at their advertisements on Slick Guns, then follow the link to their website. All of a sudden shipping so no longer free, the advertised price goes up if your paying with a card. Who pays cash over the Internet? Just try and use their contact us option. It brings you to a page to sell you more stuff. Sure you can call and wait on hold for an hour M-F. If you got that kind of time. Either the Revdex.com does something, or they confirm my belief, they are just a big fraud sucking up taxpayer dollars.

I had a very positive experience with Bud's Gun Shop. I joined Team Bud, purchased a hard to find handgun, and it arrived in less than a week. The staff is always very helpful. Positive all the way!!

I had ordered a gun online they took payment and the desided that they did not want to sell it to me because I used my wife's card even thoe the gun/ background check would be done in my name it was fine told them just refund my money and I would buy somewhere else took weeks and weeks to get my money back (they wanted to charge me a restocking fee) got my money back after I told them I was going to file a complaint on Revdex.com was very very rude to me

I have ordered a couple of firearms from Bud's in the last few years and have never had a negative experience. when on occasion that I needed to call customer service they were always quite helpful.
I'll continue to do business with these fine folks.

Budsguns Review:

#BoycottBudsGuns

Its a long story but bear with me here...

Tuesday morning I placed an order about 2:oo am and never got an email or anything BUT my credit card was instantly "charged" for an amount about $30 LESS than what my shopping cart said the charge would be and never received an email (thats odd).
So when the sun rose, I called into there customer service number and after giving them my email address they told me that NO CHARGE was made but they were able to tell me what was "in my cart" which was the correct item.
So to start, how can you tell me that no charge was made (while my CC statement in fact showed a charge, (incorrect amount at that) but you are able to "see my cart" if I had not submitted it.
My CC company had told me it was a "pending charge" and not taken out of my account but I could NOT access the funds at the moment because buds put a "72hr hold on it"

So Buds tells me in order to proceed I would need to submit payment AGAIN, knowing my CC company "had my back", I submitted payment over the phone and then received an email showing the correct amount charged, PLUS the other charge (so TWO payments now for one firearm)

My CC company assured me The first charge of funds would be released in 72 hours, Friday, today. Which they were released this am @ 11:00

Now on to the BAD REVIEW:
This makes my THIRD Police trade in that I have purchased from them, the first two I received months ago I declined shipment on ONE of them because it was missing a front sight and heavily worn (Received credit in full per there policy) the second one, I accepted the worn condition, it was "acceptable".

Todays "pickup", is missing the extra back straps all mags were rough, and beat to hell, the front sight was AGAIN missing and it appeared to have never been cleaned before.
All reviews and previous firearms purchased have also came with all manuals, locks and the original yellow envelope with fired casing, dated, which also were missing but not that big a deal...

The issue I have today is not it being dirty or beat up but the fact of all the missing items, mainly the front sight and back straps.
So before doing anything I contact customer service and speak to a VERY nice woman ([redacted] was her name maybe) she took my info and transferred my call.

I explained to her and the supervisor both of my previous issues with other purchases and ASKED them a simple yes or no question...
Advised them they had sent me an email AFTER they shipped my firearm selling generic $50 night sights so I asked if they would send me a set of those to comp all the missing parts and I would then accept the firearm from The FFL on the spot and they can ship them to the same FFL and I would pay my FFL to install them.
(That way they wouldn't be out a to and from shipping charge on the firearm to pick up and to satisfy a customer)

They said "sorry cant do that"
So I told them to go ahead and issue a call tag, pick up this firearm and to just credit back my card (as per their policy) and that I would never buy from them again and I will post my horribly experience on social media...

The funny thing is I was telling the FFL that all the reviews on the exact product were always positive and I thought that was odd, how can nobody have a negative review?? Do they control which reviews to add to the website? (Which from previous jobs, I personally approved or denied reviews for a company I worked for so I know that part...)

Now the kicker....

After leaving the firearm with the FFL, no money, no firearm, I proceed to log into budsguns website to leave a review on my experience only to receive this message when trying to log in:

"Your account has been permanently de-activated by the webmaster"

So I then call back in and speak to the same VERY NICE lady and tell her whats going on, again, she was great, apologized a bunch of times but I told her no need to apologize because she was GREAT!

So now I get "David" on the phone and he (was a d) and proceeds to try to tell me there policy which I advised this isn't my first rodeo... He told me "dont interrupt me, I heard you out now its MY TURN. 😳

Ok, go ahead....
He proceeds to tell me that I DEMANDED them to send me a new set of night sights which Is not true because I asked, NOT demanded (and thats why I advised for a call tag to pick it up and refund me.) And because I said I would obviously post to social media of my "review" they blocked me from the website to prevent me from being able to post this on their page...

SOOOO now im out of my money, (for now, no big deal) and no firearm and blocked from there website from being able to post an HONEST review which there site obviously lacks.

Budsguns, I hope you get a chance to read this and understand this. I will NEVER refer any single person to your site EVER again, I will ALWAYS put your company on blast as to the horrible experiences I have had with your company MULTIPLE times

I have had two experiences with Bud's and both have been terrible. The first experience I ordered a Benelli shotgun that I had sent to a FFL dealer about 40 min from my house. When I got there and opened my new gun it had rust all over the barrel. Simple fix, send it back and get a replacement for the same cost, right? Not with buds, they made me feel like it was my fault and took 0 responsibility and proceeded to blame Benelli. That is fine but the fact that they would not make good on the purchase and send me a new shotgun was when I realized this was company that did not care about customer service. About 7 months went by and I saw a a sale on some Barnes ammo I had been waiting to buy so I gave them a second chance, logged in, purchased the ammo. I got an email a few days later saying my order was cancelled with no explanation as to why and that I should see my refund in 3-5 business days. I called them up to see why they cancelled my order and they said my account had been closed because of the return of the Benelli Shotgun? I explained what happened to a manager, and asked why I was able to log in and they took my money if my account was closed. His response was it must have been an error and oh well, your money is being returned deal with it. Stay away from this arrogant company that has no interest in customer service!

I ordered a Mosin Nagant from Bud's on Monday and received it today four business days after ordering it. I was surprised when I opened the box to see a red letter Izhevsk. I sure wasn't expecting that. It arrived in very good shape, and it came with a red letter bayonet, oil can, screwdriver/bolt tool, muzzle protector, and a few cleaning jags so that was a nice bonus too.

The rifles bore is in excellent condition for a milsurp with strong lands and grooves, and muzzle wear is very good too. Stock is in very good shape too with minimal dings and dents so that was a nice suprise. Typical Russian refurb blue and varnish which is to be expected. Not a heck of a lot of cosmoline on it, and no rust spots either. Feels like it has a thin film of oil on it which was nice to see.

I was pretty skeptical about ordering from Bud's based on the reviews I read, but I am glad I did. Ordering and FFL process was simple and straightforward. The rifle I received is as good, if not better than described.

I'm very happy with my purchase from Bud's, and would not hesitate to do business with them again!

Outstanding product at a great price, fast shipping, secure coverage.

Terrible business. Worst gun shop I have ever been to, and that's saying a lot. They delete the accounts of people who complain against them, they've shipped used guns as new and continued to argue like children with the customers online, they would not come down $7 on a gun to match another local price for me (yes, $7), they are rude in person as well as online, they delete all of the many bad reviews on their site, their "price match" is a complete joke (it means they will match their own price if it drops, not another store's), they simply do not care about the customer because they know there are a million others online who will replace them. I could go on and on. One of these days, their "customer is always wrong" attitude will come back to bite them.

Just look at all of these Revdex.com complaints... Look at the end of their so called resolutions stating "we have closed this customer's account to prevent future activity" like that's a good thing or something. More like "We have closed this account because they are making us look bad and we could not possibly care any less about the customer."

I was on http://www.budsgunshop.com looking at a S&W M&P15-22 it was listed for $297 after everything I bought on BudsGuns the total came out to be $334.04. Around 20min later I recived an E-mail saying that I owed them another $171.72. I then called and spoke with Eric (a manager) and told him what was going on. He said that there was not anything he could do about the price because the gun is now listed at $452. I then told him that I have pictures of the gun at the price of $297 and he said "we have 90,000 items on the store every once and a while there will be a pricing error on the site". I then told him that this was false advertising and that no matter what the gun is listed you must sell it for that price. He then said there is nothing he can do besides me pay the $171.42 or get my money back.

Sounds like to me this gun is Click Bate for the website. I will not be buying anything from them and I will let everyone know how well they treated me.

I hate to give a negative review because I am mostly disappointed.
First, on some sales, Bud's offers a "Make an Offer" option. This was not originally offered on my purchase.
I made a $1020 purchase of a firearm (non discount price). Less than 24 hours later, the pistol was offered on the site for $20 less WITH the "Make an Offer" option (which would have impacted the way I purchased the firearm). When I used this option, I found that I could have purchased the pistol for $951 (cash discount price). I would have used this option had it been available.
NOW THE DISAPPOINTMENT - I have read on other forums about Bud's notorious "Customer Service", but had never experienced myself. I have bought several (3 in the last 3 months) firearms from Bud's in the last 9 years. I called wanting them to refund the difference. Immediately, the person I talked to became VERY defensive and tried to instigate confrontation. Long story short, I was transferred twice, and hung up the phone while waiting for the third.
I'm almost ashamed at how much money I've spent with Bud's in the last 9 years yet I was amazed that they were willing to blow me off over such a small amount. I once said that Bud's Gun Shop was the "Walmart" of online gun stores - and I was right!!!! Cheap prices sometimes - Good prices all the time - but in the end, NOBODY that gives a damn.
This marks the last time I will have anything to do with Bud's - regardless of prices. Nor will I recommend them to anyone I deal with. I can guarantee Bud's this - The loss of my business and the business that I direct away from them will cost them more than the $69 they got from me over this last "DEAL".

Made two orders for layaway. Paid one off fine, then tried to pay the second one off, and it would not let me. I called customer service, and they said their system says do not honor the sale. I tried to make a payment directly to them over the phone, and again it rejected it. He then asked me if I want to send a check for the total. I said no because the deadline was in a few days. As their layaway rules state. If you do not make all the payments in the time frame, then they would keep all the money you put down. I said I would rather cancel and take the 10% loss. I said I didn't want to do that, sense you guys can't complete the sale then I want all of my money back. Then he said he would check and the call was disconnected. I called back and a lady helped me. She said she doesn't know why it wont take the payment, and my money has been refunded. Several months later, I went on their website to make a order. I checked my account and it showed the charged me 10% for the order they could not complete. I called customer service, they told me I wanted to cancel the order and take the loss. Then they said it was my bank that's why it would not go through. When I asked about it at the bank they said there's nothing wrong on their end. Why and how could my bank mark my account in your computers to say do not honor the sale? You guys lied right through your teeth to me. This is like steeling money, because you forced the sale to be canceled, and then kept 10% which cam to almost $100. Not small change. The fact that your staff treated me like a jerk, and laughed at the matter, and then said. Is there anything else I can do for you with, with a pleasant tone. Thanks for stealing my hard earned money!

I ordered a rifle from Buds Gun Shop.com. The rifle was promptly shipped and arrived at the designated gun store in excellent condition.

I would recommend BudsGunShop.com for any gun purchase. I would give them 5 stars for my transaction.

This was the first time I've purchased from buds, and I must say the convenience of ordering with local ffl info on file, and a good price will make me a repeat customer. I also made two separate inquires to customer service via email and received a response within 24 hours which was great.
