I have one of the BPG plans These plans are not only deceptively written, their staff has perfected the art of "Bait and Switch" I had a hot water heater fail on the home which was covered by their upper end plan It took weeks before the unit was replaced and when the contractor finally decided to get the job startedAll the while, my tenant had rusty water running through her faucets The contractor informed me that he had to charge $for non covered parts, which included a line sets and a TP valve I am a contractor and these parts at the retail level cost less that $70, and the labor to install them are incidental and required to install a hot water heater It is obvious that this company short changes their clients and forces their service providers to overcharge customers to make up for the unrealistically low negotiated prices for repairs I additionally had to cough up a deductible In any other context the licensing board would have issues with such exorbitant pricing of materials and labor

I paid for a 5 year extension to the warranty for 5 appliances from this company, and now it is out of business and I can't even contact the company. I need some repair to a whirlpool washing machine. I bought it from a company called HomeEverything that went out of business. I think HomeEverything was the front for BPG. I have gotten 5 years out of the appliances but would have saved $500 for non existant company. I won't make this mistake again.

Review: I purchased an extended warranty for my refrigerator and oven unit and can't file a claim for the refrigerators which is not working.Desired Settlement: Refund of covering claim.

Review: Missing warranties I purchased. Two in March, three in May, and two in June. I have been trying to reach them for three weeks. They don't answer the phone, haven't responded to numerous voice and email.Desired Settlement: Money back if they cannot deliver services

Review: We purchased all of our kitchen appliances from [redacted] at that time we also purchased the extended warranty on those items from Buyers Protection Group. Our Oven is in need of a repair that is covered by the warranty. Buyers protection group refuses to schedule the service, or even return a phone call. We were told that a repairman would call to schedule an appointment within 3 days; it has been over a month now.Desired Settlement: I would like the cost of the extended warranty refunded for all my kitchen appliances; I will then release them from the terms of the warranty as well as the legal action I am planning on pursuing against them. Specifically a Fraud claim filed with the Attorney General's office and a small claims lawsuit.

Review: Bought buyers protection have need of service can't get a hold of them to do soDesired Settlement: Return balance of coversge to me

Review: I purchased "2", 5 year extended warranty product from Buyers Protection Group on 6/**/2011 through [redacted]. I was sent information about the policies and registered my products via. phone with the BPG customer service representative. I have been trying to reach Buyers protection Group via email, & phone calls to make a claim and utilize the services my warranty products provides. BPG does not have anyone answering calls. They have not responded in any way. Their web site is not working properly...and is not being maintained. I have documentation regarding my registration & purchase of their products. I also have a recorded phone call (.wav File) with the female representative that I spoke with on 7/**/2011 regarding my registration. They are obviously having problems and are going out of business. I spent 189.99 for this warranty product, and I want my money back!!! They are refusing to honor their contract with me!Desired Settlement: They are to contact me and refund my Money since they are not honoring their contract with me, and since they are impossible to reach.

Review: We have an extended warranty for our oven through BBG. The oven is in need of repair. BBG is unresponsive to repeated phone calls and e-mails to attempt to file a claim. They eventually returned our call on 6/**/2013 and stated that we would receive a call to schedule an appointment for service within 3 business days. as of 7/*/2013 we have yet to receive this call to schedule service. BBG has demonstrated that they have no intention in fulfilling the terms of the warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the appliance repaired and/or a complete refund of the price paid for the warranty that we purchased through BBG for our Oven, Refrigerator, Cook Top, and Dishwasher.

Review: I purchased an extended warranty for an appliance and registered it with this company. The appliance now needs service/replacement. I have attempted to contact this Buyers Protection Group through their website and also by phone repeatedly for the past month. There has been no response.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to honor the terms of the warranty I purchased: either to repair or replace the appliance.

Review: I purchased a home appliance warranty from BPG in 2010 for my fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. My fridge started leaking a month ago so I have tried contacting BPG to get service. I have now placed 9 calls, sent 3 emails, and sent 2 website inquiries over the past 30 days. I have not received any response at all. At this point, I am assuming they are out of business and badly regretting my purchase of this warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my home warranty cost in the amount of $275

Review: Cannot contact service provider using any available contact information. No answer machine on phone calls, same answer all the time "party you are trying to reach is unavailable". No responses to email [redacted] at all. Trying to login with my account on web site, also no success. Password and/or user name reset does not work.Desired Settlement: I expect to contact with the company to file the claim and finally repair my equipment, which is under warranty provided by the company.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Buyers Protection Group regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Review: I purchased an extended warranty for 5 years for "major appliance under 2,500." I have tried to call the number and have not been able to leave a message (voice mail box full) or get through to a person. I can't file a message online because I keep getting an error message that the site doesn't recognize me, even though it indicates my name once I login with my email and password.Desired Settlement: I would like them to send somebody to honor the warranty purchased and send someone to fix my range.

Review: I have been buying home warranty from BPG since I bought the house (2 years). About a month ago I had a air conditioner issue. A technician came and added the coolant but did not check for leaks, which now I know should have been done. After a month the same problem came back. However, about the same time my warranty period expired and BPG refused to renew. When I called them for a service on a previously serviced problem, they refused claiming it has been 32 days and the warranty on the workmanship of the service was for 30 days.

I believe that from the amount of coolant added and general history of air conditioner systems they knew there was likelihood of coil leakage which could be expensive to fix and so paid for a temporary fix-up and then refused to renew the annual warranty contract. This is dishonest. They should send a technician again to see why coolant is leaking and should solve the problem.Desired Settlement: They should send a technician again to see why coolant is leaking and should solve the problem.

Review: Tried to contact Buyers Protection Group to repair an Electrolux range for which I had a five year warranty. The company doesn't respond to emails or phone calls. Called dozens of times only to find a phone messages that permanently says "the party you are trying to reach is currently unavailable." When I had an issue in the past, I spoke with a [redacted] at BPG, but there's no way to contact anyone there now.Desired Settlement: I expect the warranty company to live up to its name and take responsibility for the repair. Since the guts of the oven malfunctioned, I had to go and ahead and and have the power relay board replaced, paying for parts and labor out of pocket, totalling $350. As this was covered under the five year warranty, Buyers Protection should reimburse me.

Review: This company is impossible to reach to get a complaint resolved. They sent a plumber out to fix a leak at my home. The plumber showed up, left and never returned. BPG never offered to resolve the problem, would not communicate with me clearly about the issue, never forwarded my complaint to management and would not pay for properly fixing the problem which the original plumber misdiagnosed. They only authorized payment for roughly $400 and that was incorrectly based on a wrong plumbing the diagnosis. I paid several hundred dollars for the service, but they are choosing not to fulfill their obligation. I have detailed notes of nearly every call I made and who I spoke with and when.Desired Settlement: Pay for the full $800 for the service provided by the plumber - estimated at $800 so far. The $400 they estimated for repairs was based on incorrect information.

Review: Dryer needs to serviced. Taking longer to dry and lint trap melted. I have endlessely tried calling and emailing with no response.Desired Settlement: If BPG can not honor our service agreement on my washer and dryer, I would expect them to refund me.

Review: I purchased a Bosch refrigerator January **, 2010 and also purchased the buyers protection plan. Around November **, 2011, we contacted them in regards to having someone look at the refrigerator for temp control. At that time they said, we were not registered, we disagreed. They said that they would register it at that time but we would have to wait 1 year from that date for it to be activated, that would be on Nov. **, 2012. On July **, my husband called, (ref leaking water inside), left a message. No call back, also sent an e-mail on the July **, no response. I called again on July **, no answer. On Friday the [redacted], Bosch sent a tech out to take care of the problem, they paid for the diagnostic and we paid for the repair. I am very unhappy with BPG Service for not returning my call or answering my e-mail. I am requesting they refund the $99 for the protection plan. Thank you,
