Yes I'm the customer The vehicle was enter into the care of Cable-Dahmer of Kansas City [redacted] for repair's and diagnoses The Chevy Fan was running rough when idle ta a stop while in driveIt also would skip when going up a hill I was told by [redacted] that he drove the vehicle and could identify would the probably and that he needed to keep the Van over night They gave me Ride homeThe next day I had to call them to get and update on the vehicleThey call me back the next day and told me it was ready said that they had to reset the timing and distributorThe did not fix the Van it's still doing the same issue, and I check with [redacted] and there is no timing for a distributor cap If you look at the receipt they just charge labor and did not fix the vehicleI game to you because when pick of the Van they starting laughing and told me I was lucky they did not add a part to itThe best thing was to do is leave and contact you guy's [redacted] ###-###-####

The customer came in yesterday and it was discovered that who ever installed the distributor did not install the plug wires correctlyWe replaced the bad wire and the vehicle should be fine nowThank you!

I would like to let you know that I am considering this complaint as being resolved. On 9/22/2016, Eli from Cable Dahmer, Independence contacted me and informed me that they would honor the sale price of $and give me the $for my cash for clunkers trade in Eli stated that the third party that does their internet pricing entered the price incorrectly He stated that the price should have been $7934, not $ He said that even though it was not their error, that they would honor the price My husband and I went in on 9/24/and purchased the car for the $minus $for our trade.I want to thank you for helping me on this complaint I was pleasantly surprised that Cable Dahmer did the right thing and honored their advertised price and sale. Thanks again, [redacted]

We stand by our original response: The issues the customer is having have nothing to do with the recallThe vehicle is years old and has over 210,milesAny issues the customer has would be considered a customer pay repair

Tell us why here The customer’s vehicle was towed to our dealership in a state of disrepair The engine was seized/ locked upHe was hoping General Motors would pay for the repairs, however his vehicle did not qualify due to neglect of routine maintenanceHe declined repairsAt that point we had the vehicle towed back to his homeThe customer still owes our dealership for the tow billHe did not inform our dealership that he was missing any bolts or partsHe has not returned our calls or made a call to our dealership in regard to this concernSincerely, Cable Dahmer Automotive

The customer had his vehicles distributor worked on by someone other than our dealershipWhen it was brought to our dealership we attempted to correct what was previously done incorrectlyThe distributor serves many important purposes and can be the cause of several engine problems if left uncared for or incorrectly installedWe would be more than glad to take a second look at the customers vehicle to see if there was something else that we can do in regard to the repair we performedSincerely ***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The vehicle was never repaired by anyone under my ownershipThere's only one way to replace a distributor cap it is impossible to even put it on incorrectlyRemember were talking about a cap not the distributor itselfI spoke with a representative and they have agree to look at the vehicle again 8/11/at 8:The below link describes the process [redacted] At any rate the issue with te repair iwas never fix as the vehicle still performs the same the day the vehicle was taken into careI explan to the repersentive that there manger can test drive the vehicle with me on 8/11/ Regards, [redacted]

Our Service Department Manager is contacting the customer to resolve his concernsSincerely, Cable Dahmer Automotive Group

The customer has owned the vehicle for approximately milesDuring this time someone has bent the wheel ultimately damaging the wheel bearingThis is not covered under any type of warranty that the customer has other than possibly her insuranceWe did not charge the customer a fee to diagnose the vehicleThe matter is closed as far as our dealership is concernedNo further action will be taken on our partSincerely, Cable Dahmer Automotive Group

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to methey have also fixed my vehicle and paid for all expenses since me getting involved with Revdex.comthe diagnoses of the issue was due to rusted brake and bent wheel hub that was suppose to be fixed prior to me getting the vehicle Regards, [redacted] ***

Sorry I could not respond to your email within minutes I was at the Royals baseball game I am sending this as soon as I got home Also, I was called this evening by the Cable Dahmer of KC dealership They offered to sell me the car for $but also said that they would not allow me to do the $cash for clunkers trade in Not sure why because I do qualify for that

As of today, Cable Dahmer of KC has told me that the retail value of the car is $ They have offered to sell me the car for $but said that they would only give me $for my trade in They claimed that the $for the cash for clunkers has to come off the retail value of the car which I do not believe I feel if I was buying a car that has a retail value of $and it was on sale for $15000, they would take the $off of the $and not raise the price back up to $and then take off the $ That's absurd The only stipulations on the cash for clunkers is or newer model and in running condition I have a VW Cabriolet Convertible that is a daily driver for my daughter In my opinion, this is similar to when you go shopping at a store and pick out a sweater that is originally $but is on sale for $ Then the company has a coupon out that is 20% off of your purchase The retailer honors both and would never tell the customer that they can't have the sale price plus the coupon or tell the customer that the only way they get the 20% off is if they pay the original price of the sweater The cash for clunkers says ANY new or used car It does not specify that you have to purchase a certain dollar amount to receive the offer

I am rejecting this response because:
It was discover that the same diagnose I told the adviser at first that the spark plug wire's were badThey replace one spark plug wire and plug and the engine is now running as normalThere was never nothing wrong with the disturberAfter fixing the spark plug wire the vehicle was not put together correctlyThe electrical wires to the middle console they did not connect them together and the negative battery cable was loosenI've moved on and decide that they will never take care of my vehicle properlyI consider this repair shop is just not a professional business

The convertible top has been repaired, and the customer was given a warranty with the repairThe customer is satisfied with the repairsSincerely, Cable Dahmer Automotive Group

The recall was performed on the Impala’s ignition key on 2/26/when the vehicles mileage was at 196,The vehicle was recently towed to our dealership on 11/3/at 210,milesThe vehicle was brought back to the dealership over months after the recall was performed and driven
13,additional milesThe recall was actually on the ignition keys and not the vehicleThe customer has aftermarket keys, not GM manufactured keysWe have already cut her a new key when she said the keys were no longer working correctlyWe have paid to have the vehicle towed to our dealership and paid to have it towed back to her homeThe issue with the vehicle is with the ignition cylinder not the keys therefore it is not covered by the GM recallThe issues the customer is having have nothing to do with the recall and at 210,miles would be considered a customer pay repair

I am rejecting this response because:I also stand by my previous response! Mileage on a car has nothing to do with the keys they replaced for me! Every other professional besides them has said that it was the key!

I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting the response because I was never told what work had been done to my when it was towed other making another key! I would also reject the response because I was able to get my car fixed with another key being madeAny damage that was done with my ignition was due to the key that was madeMultiple locksmiths/key experts have told me that the key was made incorrectly; therefore, GM should be responsible! The keys that they gave me have never properly turned my ignition; the keys I have now & the key I had before do! If GM was aware of the fact that I didn't have and probably should have a manufacturer's key, they should have informed me of this before giving me manufacturer's keys--and why would they continue to make them for me? I think they should be responsible for the cost of repairs at $I do have receipts
