I paid the original creditor and this company still says I owe I paid the original creditor on 8/29/and the payment cleared my bank 8/31/I paid the original creditor in order to get insurance with Progressive againI am currently a Progressive customer and I would not have been able to be a customer without paying off my past due balanceI have proof of payment through my bank statementI DO NOT OWE CAINE AND WEINER ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Credit report I called to set up payment arrangement for a progressive insurance collection account and was promised that it would not be reported to the credit agency as long as payments were paid as agreedThe CSR that I was dealing with was incompetent and did not process my payment correctly the first timeI was then told she would call me back to set up my next payment, and she never contacted me back, I had lost the contact phone number and got an alert that a new collection was posted to my credit reportWhen I was able to get the correct phone number, they only apologized and told me she no longer worked there, but there was nothing they could do to remove it

As noted in our original response, the initial data appears to indicate it does belong to the consumer Also as noted in our original response we are researching the information with our client The consumer has requested no calls be made on this account Once received from the client proof of the debt will be mailed to the consumer

I have a complaint to involve Progressive, as well as the collection/or law office they sent the account out to WHICH WAS Caine and Weiner ..I was contacted by a Jessica at Caine and Weiner, after asking for my husband and I advised her I am his wife, what is going on, she begin to tell me about the outstanding debt due at progressive, which by all means Progressive never called me one time nor sent any collections notices out before sending my case out!! second the collections agency they sent it to failed to even verify information to confirm that I am the above party wife she just being to go into details I could have been anybody, second that company did not even send me a validation of debt letter, to give me a chance to dispute the reason for none payment after not hearing me out after several phone calls when they raise my insuran

We are not fully understanding the consumer's concerns Our collection agency was the only agency involved in this matter We sent written correspondence to the address provided by the creditor and additionally attempted to contact the consumer by phone We received an inbound call from the consumer as a result of our contact efforts and began the process of resolving the dispute Due to the sensitive nature of the account our office is unable to provide the original creditor information in this response but will immediately mail that information directly to the consumer The consumer is encouraged to contact our Vice President of Compliance at *** *** * *** with any additional questions
