I called to set up payment arrangement for a progressive insurance collection account and was promised that it would not be reported to the credit agency as long as payments were paid as agreedThe CSR that I was dealing with was incompetent and did not process my payment correctly the first timeI was then told she would call me back to set up my next payment, and she never contacted me back, I had lost the contact phone number and got an alert that a new collection was posted to my credit reportWhen I was able to get the correct phone number, they only apologized and told me she no longer worked there, but there was nothing they could do to remove it

The consumer has filed multiple previous complaints with the CFPB and credit reporting agencies Our office initiated an investigation and obtained additional documentation directly from the creditor.This debt arises from activity that was directly initiated by the consumer
The underlying services provided resulting in this debt is not typically one in receipt of a wet signature As such this complaint is a duplicate of several received previously for which we have already sent what we believe to be sufficient information for verification and validation purposes Our records do not indicate receiving any calls from the consumer with further inquiries The consumer is again encouraged to contact our office at *** *** and ask to speak with a manager with any additional questions

Billing me for time I did not have car insurance thru Progressive
My insurance was cancelled because I would not pay by a certain dateThe charges above are for days that Progressive was not covering meI should not have to pay for car insurance with Progressive if I did not have coverage

Our office received the account in August of from the original creditor and received contact from the individual placing the complaint that the amount due was in dispute At that time our file was documented as disputed and no further contact efforts were made The credit reporting
agencies were notified properly of the dispute status There was no request for additional information at that time from the consumer filing this complaint In November our office received a dispute through the credit bureaus regarding the account At that time our office provided documentation of the debt provided by the creditor in writing as requested The information provided by the creditor at that time indicated the balance was valid and still due.As part of this complaint our office has received additional information regarding the nature of the original debt As a courtesy to the consumer based on the new details received our office will submit deletion requests to the credit reporting agencies Our account will remain closed

My complaint is with Caine & Weiner sending me a letter representing themselves as a debt collectorAs a result of calling Republic Services and being assured my account balance is they are trying to collect a debt that does not existThis is unacceptable as it is a claim and also effects my credit scoreI would like to have this resolved as soon as possibleI am willing to retain legal misrepresentation if necessary

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I still do not understand how a bill for a medical procedure received by someone else could end up on my credit report. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. I assume this issue will be resolved at all three credit agencies. At this point, they are all in dispute and Experian completed their investigation and recently sent me a notice saying the collection notice would remain on my report. Again, I assume that was before the collection company agreed to remove it. I'll have to wait and see what happens.Regards, [redacted]
