NEED OUR DEPOSIT RETURNED. We have this company a large deposit in June 2019 and as of today we still do not have the materials or install.
We provided them with a large deposit in June. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks for screens and accessories for install to come in. It is now October 4, 2019 and we have nothing hut excuses from the owner, ***. We have lost all confidence in his ability to complete the order as promised. We fear we will have to sue him to get our monies returned we don't want to do this. I'm not sure what the Revdex.com can do, but this business needs to be stopped from harming future consumers. It has the appearance of a complete sham.

Desired Outcome

Can you help with this? We need our deposit refunded. It has been close to 4 months and we aren't willing to accept any more excuses for the lack of materials and no install.

My business is going through some changes and today XX-XX-XX is the first time I found and opened this letter. We have completed a screen room over her dock many months ago to her satisfaction. Last week on XX-XX-XX I hired a company professional installer to come meet me at her place and we installed 5 retractable screens. We gave her the remote and she said she loved them. I had plans to go by the end of this week when my helper is available and put screen covers on.
We also had 3 none retractable screens in the arches to do. We did 2 of them. One had little ruffles in it and she requested to get ruffles out or redo that screen. I have every intention to do that also. Please see attached video of her screens in operation. Also see 500 dollar check I paid the company installer. I have full intention to finish up her project by the end of this week or beginning of next weather permitting.

It took this company 5 months to complete my project which was a one wall type outdoor kitchen and automated screens. Had lots of excuses from the owner and his assistant during the process. Lot of unreturned texts, emails and phone calls during the process. I was at the verge of asking for a refund toward the end. Do not recommend.

This business was taken to small claims court on Nov. 2nd, 20017 and I was awarded damages at that time. It has been over a year and no attempt has been made to contact me about payment or contact made with the court for settlement to be paid. The owner of this business is very unprofessional and will lie to get the job but will not back up his work. Please do not do business with this company. He always makes excuses and will hang up on you when you call to complain.

We did not get the service nor was the contract upheld to standard.
It is disheartening that a similar complaint has already been filed. December 6, 2017, a deposit of $17,000 was given to this company for the build of our outdoor kitchen; not a fancy kitchen just a straight bar with appliances. Leading up to April 5,2018, the bar was knocked down 3 times because the brick layers knew not what they were doing; the measurement of the bar was wrong, too long because the owner didn't pay attention to the measurements on paper, which led to the plumbing having to be moved after concrete had been poured; another round of stone had to be ordered; I couldn't get the concrete countertop I originally signed up for because *** said the guy wasn't getting back with him; there were always excuses being made, couldn't talk to us because he was out of town or setting up for the Rabbit festival. Against my better judgement,another $6000 was written out because the brick and stone part was complete. Only to find out it was totally going at a slant, not level, which led to a complete knockdown.
On April 5, after numerous chances to make things right, we asked to walk away from the contract. Which the owner agreed, without hesitation, to do because it was not going right for months. He, himself, drew up a contract stating we the homeowners would still keep all the appliances he had ordered for us(totaling $10155.92) and he, in turn, would repay us the difference from the $23000.00 we had put into this project; leaving his refund $12844.08. All 3 of us, owner,my husband, and myself, signed the agreement on April 5, 2018. The agreement stated he would give us $6000.00 now and the rest in a maximum of 90days.
To this day, we have not been repaid in full. I have attempted to call him numerous times. Hung up on and now just won't answer. I have called the office and left messages and now they're not picking up either. The service,reliability,and honesty we have received from this business is below caliber, to say the least. We rebuilt our kitchen for a fraction of what he charged us and are now enjoying it. But, a contractor had to be hired, stone reordered, trips to Houston to find the right color granite, more plumbing, and electrical had to be done to complete his mess-up; at our expense x 2! The problem is this owner's work ethics. His word and signed agreement meant nothing. He did not stand by his work or the workers he hired to do the job. This is not how to run a business.

Desired Outcome

We are looking for a complete refund immediately. And to get the word out this is not a reputable business.

My name is ***. I entered into a contract to build an outdoor kitchen for Mr. and Mrs. on 12-6-17. Please see attached contract. After the bricks were laid and the fantastic stone was being laid by the brick layer I hired, the owner ask to get out of the contract. The brick layer has done dozens of jobs correctly for my company. However, he did a bad job installing the fantastic. He told me he could do a good job, but I don't think he was familiar with the stone. I will admit that I was not on my professional game. My 79-year-old mom was scheduled for open heart surgery and I couldn't think straight. This is the first and only time in 40 years that I was asked to get out of a contact. I am taking full reasonability for things that didn't go right. I have all intentions to pay the balance I owe the ***. However, I do not have the lump sum in reserve. With the rainy days and the winter my company is suffering from lost profits. As soon as I can start to get steady profit back in my company, I plan to move forward in paying the balance. Mr. knows exactly what happened with this job and others gone wrong. And getting out of the contract came AFTER all the other issues. That was the final draw. After 40 years of doing this, you should have known better. A family member, in any job we do, can get sick and have surgeries. We accepted the hard time and were very generous on our part with the time frame. It has been almost a year since that contract was signed. An entire summer, good weather, no excuses need to be given anymore. We need this to be finished.

Unethical and unprofessional services.
I contacted Cajun Outdoor Paradise Products around the end of October or the first of November about retractable insect screens for my back porch. ***, owner of this company came out and measures the openings. He showed me a brochure of Insolroll screen. We decided on 1 motorized retractable screen and 2 handcranked screens. He assured me that they were insect proof screens. I wrote a check for $3600 on 11/21/17 with the balance of $692 due at the time of delivery. Several weeks went by, I called him and he assured me that the order was put in and that he would check with the company. On 12/15/17 I received a call that went to voice mail. He told me that he had emailed the company but hadn't heard back from them. One of the calls that I placed to Mr *** asking about the order, he told me that because of the cold weather and steel shortage, the company was behind on their orders. I finally received our retractable screen on 1/24/18. According to Insolroll, he didn't place the order until 1/9/18. Components(header) of the screens were short according to my installer and would need substantial amounts of angle iron
to close the gaps. Berzad came by to look at the screens and assured me that they were the correct size. The next week my installer came back. When the first screen was fully installed, my installer informed me that it was insect proof. It was realized that the wrong product was ordered. I spoke to the company rep and it was agreed that it was the wrong product. It was a solar screen and not an insect proof screen. The center screen was correct but not the 2 side units. I informed Mr. and he admitted he had ordered the wrong screens. At this time I informed him that I knew he didn't order my units right away but cashed my check within 3 days of receiving it. I told him he was dishonest with me. At this time I told him that I wanted his price(wholesale) for the new screens. Having spoke to the company I was aware of what the retail price was. On 3/5/18 he texted me a picture of his prices. He would take off the price of the incorrect screens and give me a discount of 25%. I informed him that it was too much and that I wanted the wholesale price. When I called him he complained about my 5 texts to him and hung up on him. He later called and apologized at which time I told him I no longer would do business with him, that I would return his screens and I wanted a full refund.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund of $4292 plus $600 that I paid the installer.
